Airgun High Pressure Air Hand Pump Basics : Umarex Airguns

  • A short video with Eydin Hansen on the basics of using a high pressure airgun hand pump for filling your airguns with air required for a PCP air rifle or air pistol to function. The key is to use steady strokes both up and down. Use your body's weight on the down stroke, especially when the air pressure is creating much resistance. Also give the pump a break. Pump for 5 minutes. Let it cool down for 15. Pump another 5. Keep your air gun air cylinder topped off so that future pumping won't require more than the one 5 minute session. Slow and steady wins the race!

    It seems simple but many people are saying the hand pump sucks, at least on gauntlet reviews I've seen. This seems to counter that though I do note it isn't a gauntlet

    Brand new to PCP airguns. So keeping air inside the gun for a period of time won't hurt it? How should a PCP gun be stored for prolonged periods of time? Great video btw, just what I was looking for.

      keeping it charged is actually usually a good thing for the rifle. it keeps moisture out of the cylinder and keeps the valves and o-rings properly seated and prevents shrinking, obviously NEVER leave the rifle loaded with pellets in the magazine or breach. gas ram/spring rifles should NEVER be left under tension
      hope this helps

      @@UmarexAir I did finally figure out what to do, I loaded 2 pellets into the barrel, pumped it up so it got some pressure and pulled the trigger multiple times, then it finally got enough pressure to seal the valve. I am asking anyone this question, If you have an Umarex Legends MP40 Semi/Full auto Submachine Gun? and if you think it is possible to build a system that would use either air handpumps, HPA tanks, and PCP for the legends MP40 to be fitted with a regulator, fitting, and air hose to go where the clips piercing plug, screw that goes into the Legends MP40's clip...To use compressed air instead of the CO2 air. ??? So as to not have to deal with cold air, freeze up's with CO2.

    nice do you have to pump it up every shot?

    • @UmarexAir
      @UmarexAir  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don't have to pump every shot. PCP airguns have an air cylinder. You fill it and shoot. Typically if you're using a hand pump, you will want to shoot after every one to two magazines or 10-20 shots. This is because the more pressure you build in the air cylinder the harder it is to compress more air into it. Now, this all depends on what you're shooting too. If it's the AirSaber, then you'll probably want to pump it back up after six arrows.

      Are you only shooting 5 feet? A lot of difference between 90psi and 4000psi.

    WARNING save your money I’m on my third warranty product replacement in six months. They will not refund my money and expect me to keep paying shipping on returning their faulty junk products. I will never buy another item from them again.
