    Military enthusiast rant.
One thing I found interesting about the trailer is that the loadouts and kits in the trailer are a mix of what the Army 75th Rangers (special forces but not the most elite) used and what the Navy SEALS used in 2006 (outside of SEAL Team 6, now known as DEVGRU-they used way better stuff)
I heard a while ago that Ray Mendoza was in SEAL Team 5 and in 2006 they were still using the 90's era DCU uniforms. In the movie they're using the Army UCP (the worst camo pattern ever made that can only blend in with a couch) so it's an interesting choice for them to be using UCP.

There were Seals rocking UCP during those days and even during the fighting in Ramadi when they were rolling with Marines, kind of the same deal as multicam where only SOF and SF units were rocking it before regular guys got it issued to them.

I was in the army infantry in Iraq in 2006. Never fucking heard if UCP. The pattern uniforms they are wearing is the ACU (army combat uniform). Nobody was wearing 90's desert uniforms (we call them chocolate chips). When I deployed late 05, I, along with all in my unit were issued or had been issued DCUs (Desert Combat Uniform) from previous deployment to Iraq in 03-04. When the 03 deployment happened, the army didn't have enough DCU uniforms and had almost no DCU flak jackets or IBAS. They were woodland BDU, with DCU uniforms and brown jungle boots. Then in the 05-07 deployment, the army rolled out the ACU digital uniform, but didn't have enough for everyone, once again, so that deployment was a mix of DCU and ACU, until around mid 06. Then they got enough ACU into theater. So, the rule was, wear whatever you want, DCU or ACU, whatever you have that's serviceable. Most guys wore DCU because they were better made, more comfortable, or they only had that. Or they liked the look. But, another reason guys wore DCU instead was to show that this deployment wasn't their first rodeo, and you had to be a combat veteran already to have even been issued those colors. Basically, the old timers had the DCUs. Now, I worked directly with the seals on several occasions in Iraq, and they typically wore DCUs, but not always. It was more of a team based decision, I believe. By 07, DCUs were completely phased out, and no longer allowed to be worn. I got out in 09, and ACUs were still standard.
