This is based on a real battle elements of SEAL Team 3 and Task Force 1st Battalion 37th Armor, 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division had in Ramadi, Iraq on 2 August 2006.
@@j.Dee333 I haven't seen anything but the trailer. I can only tell you that there were no Ranger units in the actual fight. It was just us soldiers wearing the greenish Army Combat Uniform and SEALs and Iraqi Army troops both wearing the older tan Desert Camouflage Uniform.

Glad we're really starting to get some good Second Iraqi War movies. We've had a few war movies but none that has focused on the true horrors of that war. American Sniper for example was more focused on Chris Kyle's story rather than how terrible that war was. This looks like it could be the Black Hawk Down for the Second Invasion of Iraq vets. Glad to see them and GWOT vets getting more recognition. They went off thinking they were going to go fight for their country and have come home to be almost completely forgotten by the VA, media, and society, especially as the opinions of that war have rightfully tanked. There's a couple second Iraqi vets in my workplace, and you never hear them talk about it. To get a Black Hawk Down like movie about them is awesome.
@@tommykaung5882 Global War on Terror. It's the official blanket term to cover all the wars on terror such as against Al-Qaeda, Taliban, ISIS, Houthis, etc.
So this movie is directed by Ray Mendoza, a former Navy SEAL who was in Ramadi in 2006, and the plot is loosely based on the battle in which Mendoza earned his Silver Star. Look up his Silver Star citation and you'll see the scenes in the trailer closely mirror the summary of events in his citation. This trailer certainly passes the initial eye test. The characters are wearing ACU pattern uniforms and ACH helmets, which were worn by SEALs in Ramadi at that time to blend in with Army units operating nearby. The only glaringly obvious mistake is the British FV432 APC that's masquerading as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
Probably the Pentagon doesn't allow to lend their equipments to a movie about the controversial Iraqi war unless they can edit the script to their favors. This happened to Apocalypse Now and Buffalo Soilder as well.
Twin engines, check? Leading edge extensions? Check. F-18 most likely. Ray Mendoza is a 'former SEAL' and the film is apparently based on his recollection of events and is depicted in "real time". Looking forward to this one.
Underside view looked like an F18. But when you get the straight on view at the start it looks like it’s a high wing and only has 1 vertical stabilizer.
The plane that flies over looks very much like an F-18 Hornet or Super Hornet, at least in the look of the overall shape. It is definitely not any aircraft with stealth...not with wings shaped like that.
Warfare looks amazing. I will definitely go to the theater to see this one. I think as time goes by, there will be many films about Iraq, and Afghanistan. Look how many movies there are about WWII, although these two wars are incomparable in scale. Iraq (8 years long), and Afghanistan (20 years long) were longer than WWII, and I’m sure the battles were quite numerous. I’ve wondered why there hasn’t been a movie made about the bloody Fallujah battle. Apparently that was exceptionally brutaI. I can’t wait to see Warfare, and join in the reaction to it. Thanks so much, Luke. ♥️ from Houston, Texas 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Unfortunately, I think the reason neither Battle of Fallujah has been made into a movie (remember, there were two separate battles for the city) is BECAUSE both were so exceptionally brutal. Both produced a Medal of Honour recipient- Jason Dunham for the first battle (posthumously, I’m afraid) and David Bellavia for the second, more well-known Battle of Fallujah. To date, Bellavia is the only living Iraq War veteran to have been awarded the Medal of Honour. He actually wrote a book about his experience called “House to House”, so if there was ever going to be a movie about either battle, my guess is it would be based around what Bellavia and his men went through (he was a Staff Sergeant at the time). Anyway, sorry for rambling, hope you enjoyed reading. 😊 Edit: Looks like there actually will be a documentary about Jason Dunham's heroism and the First Battle of Fallujah coming out soon! The Outpost was honestly hard for me to watch all the way through. I didn't go to Afghanistan, but I deployed to Iraq twice and I've never been nervous from watching a movie before I saw that one.
Id love to go england this would be a good way to get my foot through the door for a new country. and meet new people along the way but this film looks awesome!
I can tell you this feels very realistic from my recollections in Iraq. Wasn't in Ramadi, and was a couple years earlier, but yeah, seems quite genuine. Which is why I'm unlikely to watch this one myself.
Does this man read... 😂 6:11 'you can tell they had people in to give there thoughts' one frame before that it said 'written and directed by a iraq veteran' made me laugh. Thank you
Have you heard of the recently released anthology series called Secret Level?, i think it’s something worth checking out if you have the chance in your own time.
At 2:00 can someone explain why a guy using a DMR is out before others carrying ARs? Wouldnt it make sense to put him near the back or am I tripping?😂😂
As a stunt guy working on this project meeting a lot of the guys who were there was an incredible opportunity.

Real time like a oner/no cuts?

Promising trailer, just wished that they had a better looking Bradley!
Maybe it WASN'T a Bradley!😱
That's F-18 Super Hornet
We lost a lot of the greatest souls America had to offer that year
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
That plane flying low did look like a Harrier. It was a high wing plane and you could see the intakes there.
if you watch the trailer on your own with better quality it looks more like a F18 because the wings look longer than a harriers
It's a tricky one. The engine nozzles say F-18; however, the intake size and shape appear more like they belong to a Harrier.
It did give Blackhawk vibes so u know its good
Did I remember you saying that while your was leading up to training you used to run round Hollingworth lake?

Very promising, Flyover imho looks like a (very blurry) F-18 - with the long nose and twin engines
Try saying "Oh my God." all the time without saying "Oh my God.".
F/A 18 Hornet/SuperHornet... Maybe. Has the profile..
Should've turned the red light off but otherwise very intense
FA18 Super Hornet or Hornet
check out sniper white raven it takes place during the ukraine war. check out out his series fng academy beers and breakdowns
I think that's an F-18
