That replica belt you have looks really amazing. I've never had a championship replica belt of any kind. Not UFC, WWE, TNA or WBC. When I found out there was a replica of the world championship from the Rocky movies I've really been looking for a get one. Make it one of them replicas I own maybe the first.

I used to have a cheap jakks pacific rocky belt
I never knew they made toys and figures of these belts. I didn't think Rocky was particularly aimed at kids. Good stuff!

To my knowledge there was no belt in the first Rocky and this belt didn't debut until Rocky II.

I think it was an exhibition match.
I would imagine that they never had a belt at the time due to the budget.
@@JustStone yep but this doesn't make sense because the exhibition match is for the world heavyweight championship but they probably thought yeah Rocky will never win so they didn't bring the belt to the event that's what i think.

Realistically, I reckon it's to do with budget. I think that the first film struggled to get off of the ground, but then it was a financial success.

I suppose that they just stuck him in there as it's realistically a movie prop.
Probably because after Apollo died in Rocky 4, Rocky covered Apollo’s casket with the title signifying the last time that particular belt would ever be seen or used in the Rocky saga with the picture plates on each side. In Rocky 5 a new one was used with no picture plates like the old one.
The belt is the real Ring magazine champion. Drago was never champion and shouldn’t be on it tho, as if it was a legit belt it would have champions on it.
