Marvelous idea -- thank you! When looking at your video, I had the idea to use some old aluminum pot lids I had in the garage -- which already had holes in the middle where the handles once were. I also had a bunch of old key-rings (any metal ring would work), so I twisted picture wire around one ring on top, stuck both ends of wire through pot-hole and two rubber washers (to stablize the lid) then twisted the wire around the 2nd ring below. The whole project took less than 15 minutes, and they're already installed in the back yard. They'll keep my seed blocks dry, and also prevent pesky/brilliant squirrel from dropping down onto seed log ... I hope.

@@a4dd4a Sorry no pic. I am an old lady with a landline, and watching YT videos is the extend to my tech abilities. I'm now nixxing my idea about aluminum pot lids, as they make a bit of noise in strong winds. I'm now using plastic plant water-trays. Just drill hole in middle & wire 2 metal keyrings together -- one on top, wire through hole, and secure ring on underside. Takes less than 5 minutes. Good luck!

I see all the parts you used but uncertain how you assembled it. If the hook goes over the branch as you mentioned? What does the feeder hang from under the bowl? Where do you use the pulley and where the barrel swivel? I have everything in my cart but need some clarification before ordering. TIA

For fun you should try turning the bowl the other way on your barn style bird feeders. It would be fun to watch.

Didn't work for us, squirrel climbed down to the baffle after a determined 3 days chewed until it disabled that whole thing it ended up on the ground...you'd need cable not rope.
