Very impressive on the level of detail you put in! It looks amazing.
I want to do a pickup modeled after my papas old truck, and it had a few "patina" patches around the truck, it's more of a fade and either the primer or rust underneath and not as much as "chipping?
Would I then just do the fading and skip the chipping paint stuff? Helps appreciated!

I really liked this video, I learned a lot from watching it. I especially liked how you showed the bottles of what you were using on the left side of the screen, so I could then look for what to buy, and know what effect it would create. 20:08 Muy bueno queda el efecto de poner hojas secas en el vehículo y también en el suelo, pero como no poner nada de la vegetación que se ve en el lugar, si ahí hay mucha hierba o pastos altos, como no hay nada en el vehículo? Yo hubiese puesto los que se sacaron anteriormente para hacer los huecos y los hubiese agregado sobre el vehículo, en las zonas bajas, incluso los pájaros suelen hacer nidos en estos tractores abandonados. Por otra parte los neumáticos están muy sanos e inflados para ser un tractor abandonado. Saludos, quedó excelente el modelo!
8:05 Comprendo que la cercanía al gran país del norte haga que usen palabras diferentes pero llamar "rines" (de "ring" = anillo) a las llantas y además decirle llantas a los neumáticos es como mucho. Chequeen si quieren, (no traten de "checar" porque tampoco existe), las llantas son la parte metálica del centro de las ruedas.

Very good tutorial. I like the rusty textures under the base colour, makes for some convincing chipping effects. Those grass mats are awesome... I'll have to pick up a few.

Il legno lo avrei messo sull’ assale posteriore per meglio effetto realistico, nel togliere e rimettere il pneumatico come se fosse stato una foratura, complimenti per tutto il lavoro e di particolari di auto costruzione.

It's rather odd they had those hexagonal bolts at 2:17 molded into the sprue like that. They should've just saved the trouble and included them on the part they attached to.

Seguro no soy el primero en sugerirlo pero, viendo esa base montañosa lista para usar y ese mix de pequeñas hojas es inevitable preguntarse su proceso de fabricación. Ojalá que un día tengas la oportunidad de dar un tour por la fábrica, cámara en mano, sería interesantísimo. No soy modelista pero disfruto mucho tus vídeos. Gracias!

Just like the rubber parts on tanks, rubber tires of tractors also wear a great deal.
However, for some reason, most modellers (99% or more....) forget to age the rubber....!!!! You should take out some bits and pieces of rubber and make some scratches. Now THAT will add a great deal of realism.
I see many tanks (and tractors), weathered and aged, but EVERYBODY forgets about the rubber parts.
Taking bits out is easy on plastic parts. With real rubber or vinyl you might want to put the tire in the freezer, overnight. Taking rubber out with a hobby knife might work better when the rubber is very hard. At room temperature the rubber or vinyl might be too soft to get the desired result.
Other than that, this is an awesome model. Well done !!
Thanks for the suggestion, but as many aspects of the model, it depends on the story behind it. Search for abandoned tractors images and you'll get a full range of wearing. Lots of abandoned, rusty tractors look like they have new tires.
Well, I just checked Google Images, and I can not find a single picture of an old, abandoned tractor with wheels that look like new. Wouldn't be possible, either...........
Although it is possible that at one stage, a tractor had new tires fitted, only to be abandoned, soon after. That's possible.
But where tanks are concerned, the rubber on the wheels are the very first things to suffer damage, since the rubber rolls over the tracks and hard rocks end up between the rubber and the tracks. I have never seen undamaged rubber rims on a tank that had been in use for a while. Not when I was in the army and not in pictures, although those tiny damages are very hard to see in pictures. You need to find close-up pictures to spot them.
Having that said, your videos and models are a true inspiration to me !! Let that be said !! I love them all, the videos and the models !!

Great work Sergio, thanks for sharing the techniques involved in producing an outstanding model. One humble tip of my own if I may? If you paint the frame on the display board matt black, it will make the frame less noticeable and improve the overall look of the display. It's difficult to put into words, but trust me, try it and you will see what I mean. It was a tip passed to me by a friend who was involved with building theatrical scenery and for things they don't want the audiences eyes to be drawn towards, they paint Matt black. I've tried it in my scenic modelling and it certainly works! Hope this helps! Thanks again, kind regards - Rob. (Chester, U.K.).

@@SergioSolo man, you could do a video in 6 years and I'd still be here to watch it. I can't say enough how great the model is, especially because you have done it with so few products. I have seen amazing models, but there's a fortune spent on weathering products. In this build you've used something like 6 paints, 5 weathering products, thinner and chipping fluid. SIMPLE YET EFFECTIVE. Hope to see another from you again soon bud. Keep smiling.

Thanks for the video! I've got two of these kits as well and as a heads up, have noticed the engine halves look a bit short shot and required a good amount of filler along the top seam. However, it's not really visible under the hood. :-)

I'm glad you like it, Bruno. The filter seems to be stronger than plain enamel thinner. I haven't try the pigment fixer for this particular effect

Very beautiful work Sergio! I've read that Windex with ammonia-D in it also does the fading effect so will be trying that. Can I ask what matt varnish you use to clear coat? I've been having problems with frosting.

It doesn't always frost but sometimes does so can be a big random headache sometimes! I'm going to try Dullcote.
