My aunt loved to sing to my kids every night. In a small town nestled between rolling hills, there lived a girl named Emma who often felt lost and alone. Every day after school, she wandered to a quaint little church at the edge of town, seeking solace in its warm embrace. It was her refuge, a place where echoes of faith filled the air, comforting her weary heart. They sang of love that conquers fear, of grace that heals, and of dreams that soar. With every note, Emma felt her worries fade away, replaced by the promise of something greater. The choir’s music began to reach beyond the church, spreading hope throughout the town. They performed at local events, touching lives and bringing people together. Emma noticed the smiles that lit up faces as the music played, realizing the profound impact of their message. One evening, while practicing under a starry sky, Emma reflected on her journey. She felt a deep sense of belonging, knowing they were shining a light for others to find their way. Inspired by her experiences, Emma started to write her own songs, weaving her feelings into lyrics about faith, resilience, and hope. With her friends’ encouragement, she began to perform her songs during choir events, sharing her story with the world. The more she sang, the more her spirit lifted, transforming pain into purpose. As the seasons changed, so did Emma. She blossomed into a beacon of light in her community, using her voice to uplift those who felt lost. The little church became a hub of hope, where people gathered not just to listen but to share their own stories of struggle and triumph. Together, they sang not only of faith but also of love, friendship, and the beauty of new beginnings. Through the power of music, Emma found her voice and her purpose, inspiring others to embrace their journeys with courage. The melodies that once filled her heart with longing now resonated with joy, reminding everyone that no matter how dark the night, the dawn will always break, bringing the promise of a new day filled with hope and love. Emma’s story became a testament to the transformative power of faith and community, showing that through music, lives can be changed, hearts can heal, and dreams can come alive. As she looked around at her friends, she knew that together they were creating a symphony of hope, one note at a time. I lost my husband, moved in with my aunt when things went bad for us Kelvin owe all my gratitude to you for changing my life from being hoemless to owning a home. help me thank her in prayers Feedback@kelvinpro , com this are the exact lyrics she sang to my kids every night.!`..
Thank you Bishop Barron. I always admire your insight for the homily. Maybe you don't remember me that we met for the first time in Melbourne, Australia when you have a talk in St. Patrick Campus, Australian Catholic University (ACU) 2013, when I was a chaplain there. I think that time you introduced your book Catholicism. I always wait for your sermon to give me a pearl for my Sunday mass preaching. It's always new and refreshing, like a meal freshly cooked, not reheated from the microwave 😀. God bless you and your ministry, especially the Word on Fire.
Thank you, Bishop, you are a great preacher and explainer of God's word. Your insights are so out of this world. Every week I listen to your homilies when I prepare for Sunday mass and that helps to internalize the readings better. We glorify God for your gift to the world.
is this fella a satanist? the spiritual powers that control things on earth are how we (as the human race) used these spiritual powers to understand the world if this fellas saying we from that group he's not one of GODS!!!!!!!!!!! kids
I'll ask again incase something went wrong, is this fella a satanist saying that in the old days the spiritual powers that control the earth helped us make sense of it? the BIG GUYS!!!!!!!!! word says satan is the ruler of this world "the Lord of the air" this fellas got quite abit dead wrong
Thank you. I’m nearly 80 years old, your homily today has been an unveiling of my mind. I understand all that has eluded me in the past. In Christ there is nothing for the future, nothing for the past, it is all for the present moment. Our new way of navigating is for us today. The old order passes away today.. something that has confused me is the term “growing the Kingdom”. The Kingdom reached its fullness in the resurrection of Christ, we are living in the fullness of the Kingdom. What we do is encourage people to join is in this new way of life. We don’t add to it, we can’t take anything away, it is of now in its fullness and eternal.
For me, I’m a little sad that the clarity he provided has come so late in my life… Grateful for sure that it has come but sad still the same.. “Thy Kingdom come, on earth, as it is in Heaven….” ❤️🙏
Wow. The relationship between the Old Testament and the New has always baffled me. Here Bishop Barron clears it up simply and reminds me that we in the 'modern' world over-think and over-complicate life, or in some cases, too many perhaps, turn away from seeking out the revelations in the Word. Jesus messages were simple and clear and thank God we have men and women who can interpret for us, or simply point the way.
Thanks be to God for your homily, Bishop Barron! Wonderfully illuminating and full of hope for this Catholic convert here in New Zealand. "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" What a different way of seeing the apocalyptic scripture, the 'unveiling'. God bless and protect you; much love and peace in Christ.
Deuteronomy 4:2 in the King James Version (KJV) states, "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you":
This is the bishop of our times.expounding the word in a way i never imagined even after reading that passage for more than 10times.God bless you and keep you our dear Bishop
Dear Bishop Barron, What a simple yet profound way to explain both Daniel and the words of Jesus in today's gospel. Thank you. You are empowered and enlightened by the Spirit. Happy Birthday this Tuesday. With my prayer and gratitude - Fr. Alex (81 year old priest in active retirement.
I can't believe all this while, I thought "apocalypse" meant "end times". Thank you and God bless you, Bishop Barron for this sermon. It has given me a whole new perspective.
*I'm favoured only God knows how much I praise Him,* $230k every 4weeks! I now have a big mansion and can now afford anything and also support God's work and the church.
Only God knows how much grateful i am. After so much struggles I now own a new house and my family is happy once again everything is finally falling into place!!
I started pretty low, though, $5000 thereabouts. The return came massive. Joey is in school doing well, telling me of new friends he's meeting in school. Thank you Evelyn Vera, you're a miracle.
Wow...I know her too she is a licensed broker and a FINRA agent she is popular in US and Canada she is really amazing woman with good skills and experience.
Deep and novel truths of the mystery of God and of man are found in the Holy Bible which must be navigated by each one of us through the power of God's spirit. Ever new and never exhausted truth of God will be unvailed and of man's destiny. Death is not the end for us in Christ but beginning of new world and of new life for us all. Thank you dear lordship.
19 November 2024 Happy 65th Birthday Bishop Barron!!! May you have an amazingly wonderful year filled with blessings as you bless others. We still miss you here in the Santa Barbara region of the LA Archdiocese.
Happy Birthday Bishop Barron Thank you for your great work. I truly believe outside of Pope Francis you are the most influential voice for the Church 🎊🙏
Wow! I love your love for the LORD Bishop, and I am thankful for you sharing it with the world. WORD ON FIRE INDEED!! Thanks be to GOD! Love and prayers.
Bishop Barron, thanks so much for explaining g the meaning of today (Sunday’s) Gospel. You and Fr. Chris Alar are two priests who have both been highly praised and criticized - dare I say condemned - because you both speak out boldly on the Truth. You both have played a huge part in keeping me in the Church after The Zeternsl Father brought me back. I MUST write my testimony and send a copy to you and Fr. Father Chris Alar, MIC. I’m so glad you have continued to teach on Sunday Gospels although you stopped the public daily Masses. We still have RETN and Fr. Alar’s Saturday “Ecplaining the Faith. Your Sunday sermons and Gr. Alar’s Explaining the Faithseries on Datirdays have resulted in conversions throughout the world, I’m sure. Thanks again and please continue.
I've always read the book of Daniel , but now, after this homily, I see it differently. I think I need to read it again , it's awesomely tempting to read over and over again. And that's a thank you to Bishop Barron.

Tuesday is your birthday! Longe live dear Bishop Barron!
Great educator & preacher of our time, and probably the greatest after Bishop Fulton Sheen.
Thank you, Bishop, you are a great preacher and explainer of God's word. Your insights are so out of this world. Every week I listen to your homilies when I prepare for Sunday mass and that helps to internalize the readings better. We glorify God for your gift to the world.
Your sermons just going through the same narrative . The gospels are Jewish not given by the Roman and orthodox church fathers teachings.
I do like wise before attending mass it helps me a lot to understand the message of the readings!
