- The tragic military helicopter crash in the Sindar Area, near the border of West Pokot and Elgeiyo Marakwet, that claimed the lives of senior military officials, including Chief of Defence Forces Francis Ogolla, is not the first. Several such incidents have occurred in the country in recent times.

Hio Extra money ilienda kwa Bunge towers ingesaidia to boost New helicopters.. we still using moi era helicopters ata ni zile za Vietnam
Facts
The 8 Hueys were bought in 2016. 3 of them already crashed.
It's either the planes are worthless, not properly maintained, setup or the pilots are incompetent

it is indeed a sad situation indeed. Condolences to the families that lost their loved ones
Its better to have five new Chinese military choppers than to have 30 American oldest military choppers. In just 2 yrs they have killed over 20 kdf officer including highest ranking officers and cdf. What the hell is that.

Pole sana,,
The writing is on the wall. These copters are either obsolete, being hacked and tampered with or poor maintenance. The trend speaks for itself. Way forward
1. Diversify military equipment acquisition i.e from different countries.
2. Increase budget for defense i.e for acquisition of new gadgets. Politicians to stop awarding themselves ridiculous allowances and Kenyans to exercise contentment. Kenya's economy is really wasteful and no accountability.
3. Scrutiny and close inspections of all the copters and address any loopholes.
4. In-country military equipment development i.e develop some equipment ourselves. We should believe in ourselves. There is nothing much to it actually. We've bright minds (engineers) in need of jobs and government can put them to use-gather them and give them a base to experiment and tinker under strict regulations and organization.
What is development and economic growth worth if you can't defend it from the imperialists?
This sadly speaks volumes about the whole military equipment. A wake-up call regarding our defense status.
As long as we continue recruiting based on who can dish out more money for the cadet specialized positions, crashes will go on.
Pure sacrifice not accident
Kabisaaa we blame Ruto
Poleni Sana Mungu ako
The country has resources to acquire state of the art equipment...
Ni chopper kuzeeka ama ni marubani hawajahitimu?nashangaa si serikali inunue ndege nzuri atrist
Let the creative soul learn
Salimia saitoti and nkaiseri😢
So sad
What do you expect if even some of the police stations doesn't have means of transport. The problem of this police helicopters is lack of maintenance.

Poleni familia ya general Francis OGOLLA ,,
Poleni sana
We should be investing in creating our own than buying old planes.
Sad
Rest in peace, we love you bt God love you more
Why baringo
As long as we continue using decommissioned American hueys as our army helicopters we are in a bad state.
And whats up with these deaths in Kenya, wakubwa wanatoa blood sacrifice nini?
CONCERN OF AIR SECURITY
OGOLA WAS THREAT TO THE POWER THAT BE FROM THE WORD GO!
Eish
Sorry our beloved Galan Generals ,may the almighty rest their souls in ertanal Life.
It's a rather simple issue. Pilot Training or Deferred Maintenance.
You missed the bigger elephant: very old equipment.
@@kidoiarts4843 I didn't but maybe you did. It's either an aviator or maintenance problem. Properly maintained aircraft don't fall out of the sky with this frequency.
In the intricate of this narrative, we encounter Rutto, a character etched with the darkest hues of moral turpitude, a figure whose very name has become synonymous with the egotistical savagery of a murderer. His is a tale of avarice and hubris, a descent into the nadir of human depravity where the sanctity of life is but a trifling matter to be trifled with in his quest for supremacy.
The fabric of the nation is torn asunder by the grievous act that has befallen its leader, its helmsman who has been unceremoniously and brutally expunged from the land of the living. The echoes of this heinous crime reverberate through the heart of the polity, engendering a maelstrom of collective grief and indignation. In this somber tableau, a gulf emerges between the self-aggrandizing narratives of the powerful and the palpable reality of a bereft nation.
Amidst the ensuing tumult stands Francis Ogolla, a name we ascribe to the paragon of military rectitude, a stalwart guardian entrusted with the onerous task of national defense. He is the embodiment of stoic resolve, a bulwark against the forces of chaos that threaten to engulf the land. His role transcends the mere mechanics of martial discipline; he is the custodian of order, the final redoubt against the internal corrosion of the state's moral fiber.
The Kenyan people, whose collective consciousness is imbued with a resilient wisdom, stand vigilant against the insidious erosion of their societal compact. They are not marionettes to be manipulated by the whims of the elite, nor are they mere spectators in the theater of their destiny. With discerning eyes and unyielding voices, they challenge the recurring narrative of sacrifice, refusing to accept the forfeiture of innocence as an immutable decree of their existence.
How many times, they inquire with incisive poignancy, must the altar of their beloved homeland be desecrated with the blood of the guiltless? The frequency of such sacrifices becomes a litmus test for the integrity of the state, an unspoken indictment of the mechanisms of power and the custodians thereof. The people's query is a clarion call for accountability, a demand for an end to the cyclical carnage that has too often been the price of power's preservation.
The specter of divine judgement looms over this narrative, not as a vindictive specter, but as the ultimate arbiter of moral law. It is a notion that transcends the temporal confines of worldly justice, an eternal gaze under which every action, every decision, is weighed and measured. The people invoke this celestial tribunal not from a place of vengeance, but from a profound understanding that the arc of the moral universe, though long, bends inexorably toward justice.
In this narrative, we see the unfolding of a reckoning, a cosmic balancing of the scales that regards not the stature of the individual but the essence of their deeds. The judgement that is called upon is neither hasty nor impetuous but is considered with the gravitas befitting the gravity of the transgressions in question.
Thus, the saga of Rutto, Ogolla, and the people of this fictional Kenya becomes a microcosm of the perennial struggle between power and virtue, between the self and the collective. It is a poignant reminder that the legacies we leave behind are not measured in the monuments of our making, but in the memories we bequeath to generations yet unborn, and in the reflection of our actions in the mirror of eternity.
Using technology that fought in Vietnam and WW2 and you wonder why they keep crashing 😂. Alafu I bet whoever maintains the crafts are not qualified personnel, ni watu wa kujua watu and they also gave kitu kidogo to get such jobs. Bure, yaani bure.
rest in peace general Francis ogola
Buda no no icant believe
These choppers are fake or pilot's are not well trained to operate chopper's
maintenance , maintenance , maintenance
helicopters should be banned in kenya 😢
I wonder oooh 😭😭😭😭😭
No services plus those helicopter are outdated
Rip
All this is poorly trained pilots . There's no way you can have all these accidents and conclude every thing is ok . In the past Kenya pilots used to be trained overseas and only the qualified and well deserving cadets would be send. Nowadays senior people in government are using kdf as a bridge pass for their unqualified kins to gain commercial pilot certification thus the bad result
Who is next
The one who won't follow him and who won't leave the country alisema mambo ni matatu
Hi Ni hadith Zaki bangi!! Sisi apana wajinga!! wamekulwa Na watu wao.
I think global news matters, after Indian military crash at TN, ysr accident during rain , helicopter not safe to zoom through above clouds, only plane safe or that has got silver lining during wednesday , thursdays other wise sunrays hit as thunders at the last minutes before rolling back , I guess left to engineers to comment 🤔
Shida ya chopper mtush
Ruto alimtoa kama sacrifice
They need new helicopters hizo zimezeeka
This is even not the issue of old helicopters,,can you read the history of saitoti,,nkaissry,,ouko,,government must answer this questions
