It is so great you are out there with your son and sold your boat to get bikes...what a great father. The memories of riding together will last a life time. I used to ride a Yamaha Wr450F enduro bike and did the trails. When cornering scoot up on the seat almost onto the gas tank and put your leg out front as you give it gas...you will plant the bike better in the corners and will feel more in control. I believe off road riding is very proactive and takes all of your conce tration to ride well. Get used to standing up on the pegs and straddling the bike with your legs/knees. This way you can anticipate terrain changes...when in doubt get on the throttle to get through the rough stuff. Always keep your elbows up as well....no drooping. I would always self talk to myself when riding to always push myself to get better as a rider. Keep up the practice and you will feel more and more confident. A good investment for both ofyou is a CamelBak hydration system to wear on your back and sip as needed...it is a so important to stay hydrated. You have a great family and a great wife who supports you...Life is good :)
Tanner looked pretty stoked when you guys pulled in at the track! I love the bond that Tanner has with his Dad when there riding dirt bikes it so cool to see. Good video and tell the boys they're improving really well!
Couple of helpful remarks would be keep on the throttle wide open, the faster you're going, the smoother the ride. You don't have to look back for riders who are faster, keep your line and try and decide which line is used the most to avoid any risk of crash, generally the better riders know how to pass, so theres no reason to slow down or pull over for them. For arm pump, keep your legs tight to the bike/gas tank and try and keep your upper arms to minimal use besides corners/berms. Jumps are super easy, they all look to be tables (from the gopro point of view) so if you undershoot you'll be okay, just push yourself to go faster a little bit at a time and you'll figure out the speed to clear it perfectly. All in all keep on going out and having fun.
ive been watching ur vids since u got the bikes and i think u guys are doing great, those tracks look intimidating for sure, ive only ever ridden trails and in the dunes never on an actual track, cant wait to continue watching ur progression. wish i was over in the states, look like a cool group to go riding with.
Hey tanner your still learning it just takes time I just got my yz250f and I took it to the track and had the same dilemma I wrecked and bent the rim on the front tire and bent my handlebars and wanted to give up but when I got home I watched videos on how to improve track performance now I just stand up basically the whole track only on turns or jumps does my but touch the seat and just trust yourself because with these bikes it's all or nothing so keep up with it and before every ride STRETCH EVERYTHING MOSTLY YOUR RIST!!
Tell the dude to keep trying. I started riding last fall and have gone to ACP every weekend and 6 months later I can clear everything on the vet track no problem and am more comfortable then most the people on the vet track. Tell him it takes a few weekends and though intimidating at first the progress come quick! Then you can't get enough of it! If you ever see the Kawasaki 708 out there come say hi 🤙🏼 also there's not a single dude I've met out there who cares about slower riders. It comes with the sport and if anything they like getting the practice on making passes so don't worry about your speed.
Woow thats a nice place! i wish we had tracks like that in sweden :) I also admire all the fun you have togheter, brings back some memories from when i was younger! Best regards from Sweden
I don't know how you managed to keep the camera that still with all the bumping around of the track, but the footage was excellent :) well done you two, you did great - and a big well done to Tanner for admitting he didn't like it much but still getting back out there and trying again :)
Here is a tip: when a faster person is behind you don't look back they'll pass if they want and when they do pass try to stick with them it will get you much faster
Tanner has got to fix that choke problem. It sounds horrible. If he keeps leaving it open, your power will decrease greatly and you won't get the speed you need. Also I recommend using VP fuel, it keeps the carb clean and gives you a little extra power. Keep improving swags :)
I wish I could give you some advice lol I'm just not great at giving it. I was raised into motocross so it's just natural for me but you guys seem to be getting the hang of it
Haha Pa Swag: i love it, Boy Swag: i dont love it!. Dont worry about the guys going fast, just hold your line and they will pass you.Just make laps and try to stay up. It will all come in time. Have fun!
You probably should get his suspension set for him and his height suspension makes or breaks a rider and will give him a lot more confidence. Tell him to keep his line and not look back motocross riders know everyone starts somewhere they will adjust for slower riders
That's cool tanner everyone has they're one riding style & pace!! Don't let anyone get to your head. Your having fun in the trails! Your doing good for just starting! I had to ride the trails for two years before I was ready to rip a track. Check out my latest track video bro comment please
Gearboxes on bikes are designed to be beaten up haha. If you were going up a hill fast it will be easier to just hit up. You're welcome though, keep up the good vids :)
Swaggy's! When you guys decide to check valve clearance, are you going to do it yourselves? Each video I watch makes the math so confusing. Would be cool if you guys did a video on it. I picked up a whole kit of valve shims for like $90, all I need is a torque wrench.
I know you guys are just learning and your doing super good but I think that you guys need to be a little more on the gas. You will see that once you have done a big or medium jump and clear it it will be easy! Next time try just going for it a little more! Great job guys!
You guys shouldn't have bought 250s. You never take them out of like 3rd gear. Just grip it and rip it.....u guys should have gotten like Crf150s or like a ttr or something. 250s seem like they are too much for you guys
Zachary Mcdowell of course but they really aren't ready for a track they should stick to trails for a good bit by telling them that it's the same thing as go hurt yourself if they start doing that with how they are riding they would end up hurt they need to learn how to walk before they run that's just.my opinion. from what I see they don't even have the basics down 100% and after you learn then you have to build confidence before they start hitting the jumps and speeding up by the looks of it he has no riding experience what so ever takes a bit to get confident enough to do what your asking put me on a cr 80 I'll smoke them but why post that and discourage someone who is so new to the sport witch is why I said it isn't about what you can do

You guys should trail ride though. Tanner seems to love it more which is understandable. Motocross tracks are really tough
Yes he was stoked at first lol thank you for watching, and your right Tanner loves the trails so much better then the track this time.
super impressed on mikes progress!
Sweet! Thank you!
i think ur valves need adjustment at 2:21 when u reved it smoke came out, it shouldnt check oil and valves
I was wondering the same about the smoke. Thanks!
yeah i had a 2008 crf 250r and the valves went out of adjustment fast! so i bought a 2 stroke
For the amount of time Tyler has been riding he is AWESOME ignore the hate guys keep up the good work
Thank you!!!
That track looks sick
Yes it is. Its an awesome track.

Thanks so much for the tips, me and Tanner sat and read this together! Appreciate it!
lmaooo 2:20 haha that bike is fucked

Appreciate it, thank you!!

Thank you! Yes Tanner was so brave and I'm happy he's not shy to admit that it was tough for him:)
Arizona
The track is so fun. Nothing like learning to jump! I suck at the ruts though haha
Your right it is a blast!! We suck right now but hoping we pick it up soon!!
after a few years of riding he will want to be back on the track for some air! keep ridin!
i am 17 and i have been riding since i was 4 and racing since i was 6. This track looks gnarly and i would love to come up and shred it.
how much did it cost to get in
$30 for each rider, well worth it!
Yeah will you guys go again
Thanks
Yes for sure!
alright alright, I'm going next time now. I'll admit, it looks very intimidating, but has to be so much fun
Awesome! We can't wait to go again it is so much fun!
Stop looking behind you. The faster riders will pass you, don't worry about them just focus on yourself.
Here is a tip: when a faster person is behind you don't look back they'll pass if they want and when they do pass try to stick with them it will get you much faster
Sounds good thank you!
The Swags np I know this from experience
When yous get better make sure your bike reef limits befor you change up gear then it rids better like what I'm doing on my rmz250
Tanner has got to fix that choke problem. It sounds horrible. If he keeps leaving it open, your power will decrease greatly and you won't get the speed you need. Also I recommend using VP fuel, it keeps the carb clean and gives you a little extra power. Keep improving swags :)
Alright I'll check it out, thanks man.
ya clintus has vlog on u should have swag on
Love it!
I wish I could give you some advice lol I'm just not great at giving it. I was raised into motocross so it's just natural for me but you guys seem to be getting the hang of it
I would kill to have a track like that where I live
Your pretty good for a starter
Haha Pa Swag: i love it, Boy Swag: i dont love it!. Dont worry about the guys going fast, just hold your line and they will pass you.Just make laps and try to stay up. It will all come in time. Have fun!
Exactly lol Thanks for that, we are going trail riding this weekend. We love your comment!
how old is tanner?
Connor 2 stroke He is 17
You guys are so nice to your kids I love it. I wish my parents would by me a rm 125 and gear but they just laughed at me when I asked😂😂😂😂
You probably should get his suspension set for him and his height suspension makes or breaks a rider and will give him a lot more confidence. Tell him to keep his line and not look back motocross riders know everyone starts somewhere they will adjust for slower riders
Yes for sure! He wants to do that this weekend, thanks!
When are u posting more dirtbikes vids
This weekend, we have been sick.
That's cool tanner everyone has they're one riding style & pace!! Don't let anyone get to your head. Your having fun in the trails! Your doing good for just starting! I had to ride the trails for two years before I was ready to rip a track. Check out my latest track video bro comment please
Thanks man!! Yea I was not feeling the track at all!! I will stick to the trails for awhile as well. We will watch it for sure.
I want taners bike
You don't need to use clutch on the track you can just shift
Just found this out lol thanks won't be doing that anymore!
Gearboxes on bikes are designed to be beaten up haha. If you were going up a hill fast it will be easier to just hit up. You're welcome though, keep up the good vids :)
u guys would be good at cross country racing
Oh wow never thought of that, something to think about!

hey swags nise video
Did Tyler ever want to get a bike or 4 wheeler
Yes he wants a quad, so does mom:)
The Swags that would be awesome to see all of you riding trails
I like trails much better too! Scenery is better. More technical variety. Less people.
Tanner agrees!
If ur riding slow stay to side kind of track etiquette
Yea we will, thanks!
The dad is going to be really good in about a year he's gonna be shooting dust in his kids faces XD
Yeah he's definitely bitten by the bug that's for sure.

Very good to know, were going to a friends house to tune them up and do some work we will defiantly record it.
The Swags Good deal, I actually just did mine the other day and it runs WAY better. Looking forward to the video!
I know you guys are just learning and your doing super good but I think that you guys need to be a little more on the gas. You will see that once you have done a big or medium jump and clear it it will be easy! Next time try just going for it a little more! Great job guys!
your march is to expensive i can't afford it
Tanner your bar pad is on backwards turn it around
Got it thanks!!
I don't think tanner is meant for riding dirt bikes. He's just not in the spirit.
You guys shouldn't have bought 250s. You never take them out of like 3rd gear. Just grip it and rip it.....u guys should have gotten like Crf150s or like a ttr or something. 250s seem like they are too much for you guys
cory day 125 two smokes would have been good for them
You need to push yourself beyond your comfort level and then you will slowly get better you have to crash a few times, trial and error
I wanna ride so bad lol
your idle is to high
3rd
first
1st
you guys go so damn slow learn how to ride a track and start ripping it. I would get that track rip that track on a 125 and smoke you guys
+Zachary Mcdowell Ok thanks Pal!
Zachary Mcdowell yeah but it isn't about what you can do there just starting no one cares what you can do.
Zachary Mcdowell we all know that, it doesn't have to be said.
Dope Mx i was just trying to say they would learn it faster if they actually started to rip on the track and hit the jumps harder
