It is so refreshing to see these episodes again and their traditional use of ingredients and cooking styles. Tex-Mex is fine, but that really isnt a fair comparison to authentic Mexican cuisine.

Tex mex or any southwest Mexican food does not compare to Mexico city food.

Don't cheat on yourselves: Even when they are really diverse and all varieties of tacos are amazing, we Mexicans dont eat tacos every day, they are a dish for the afterparty, after a concert, for an out to dinner night, etc. There's literally thousands of Mexican dishes you can taste every day without repeating, and tacos are only a small part of all of them

So you mean kinda like burgers for Americans?? You don't cheat yourself thinking otherwise

I don't care. I really ever get to eat Mexican and if I can find a good taco it's all I want to eat. I wouldn't judge the f*** out of you about what you want to eat American

I ate a giant bowl of that type of squash the other day steamed with Knorr tomato bullion powder topped with ghee.
    Best squash ever.

I make a stew of chicken, peppers, and onions then serve on corn tortillas toasted on a pizza stone. I then top with Colby jack cheese and a very spicy chile sauce. MY FAVORITE🤤

Rick you need to come to Mazatlán, Sinaloa to taste our cuisine. Tacos de camarón capeados o tacos dorados de camarón en Col. Pancho Villas or Tacos Dorados de Esquinapa or tacos in general. Menudo Blanco, Pescado Zarandiado, Ceviche, Aguachile and the list go on. Eating in El Quelite is a treat.

Hmmmm, skirt steak tacos are sounding better and better to make this week. I've also have made the salsa de molcajete twice already. I love these simple yet extremely tasty recipes. Keep 'em coming Rick, we love them! Thank you!

Back then your intro showed parts of Mexico and a lady making Huaraches you eventually made the recipe on pbs is there a video from then of the Huaraches you inspired a person here in Arizona to put it on the menu from this video that I'm speaking of I would appreciate if u can point me to that video since it inspired a business

My mom wasn't the best cook and made tacos with Old El Paso Way taco seasonings with ground beef on hard shell tacos. I wish I could get my family more interested in Mexican cooking other than Taco Bell. Groan! Luckily my husband and I love Mexican food, so we eat it a lot.

I dunno’, we do enchiladas better in San Antonio and tacos better in Austin. Better ingredients north of the border, flour tortillas, milk and cheese, chili con carne, etc. 🎉

I'm sure you've had great tacos. But no taco anywhere in US or other cities in Mexico can compare to Mexico city tacos. Most of the TH-cam videos only show a few places. In reality there are hundreds of places throughout the city.
