It always fascinates me, the quality of life in Europe and the culture there. Thanks for showing the place from a natives/locals point of view.

Short personal history: I was adopted at one month of age. My adoptive father was Dutch but was born here in Canada. His parents were born in Amsterdam. Hint: my family surname has something to do with wooden shoes...
I've been to the Netherlands once, back in 1984 when I was 21. I absolutely completely fell in love with it. Life got in the way and I've never made it back. That is, until the end of November this year when my wife and I will be spending two weeks there. We are basing ourselves in Amsterdam and will make day trips to other towns and cities. The Netherlands is a very special country and I'm so excited to be going back!
Last year Amersfoort got the title: Best city in Europe 😊
You should visit Leeuwarden, cultural capitol of the world. Maybe your next vlog 😊

Life doesn't consist for most people out of extraordinary days everytime but mostly out of normal routine days.
Making "A Day In My Life In The Netherlands" on a rainy day is extremely realistic :-) I realized that I've been living in Delft for a long time when, when Buienradar became my best friend...

When you are in Amersfoort and you want to get some fried snacks, FEBO is okay, but Van Gogh is absolutely great. They cherish craftsmanship in a very professional contemporary manner. Almost all the snacks are locally produced or prepared at the spot.
By the way, I don't work there.

I m from Goa India a former Portuguese colony for 472 years i came here last year and live in sint jacobslaan Nijmegen 4 kms from Germany,For me Netherlands is the happiest country in the world,i just don't like immigrants from Romania they are racists at work towards people from other ooor countries
Quintessential Dutch:
- Bicycling (aka free transport)
- Perfect English (hampered by Dutch accent)
- FEBO (cheap and quick food supply without social obligations)
- hating on Amsterdam (Disneyland, filled with yuppies and tourists)
- complaining about the weather (it's shit most of the time)
- advertising erwtensoep (its shit mashed to soup, originally accompanied with left overs from farm animals ie pigs ears, feet or other crap...)
- being a shit cook (yeah, if it has nutrition, taste and is easy and quick... we're good. Explains the go-to traditional mashed split pea soup being considered culinary.)
- explain 'gezelligheid'
Yeah, even though most of us would fail an inburgeringstest, we'll be Dutch in every fiber of our body...even though we'll probably complain about that (or anything else) too.
