Presidents don't control the economy, Government Institutions do, from the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve, which control interest rates, currency etc, to the Justice Department insuring Corporations don't gauge pricing, munipulate and defraud consumers and pricing, to the DOT and more. A President that wants to destroy all the institutions which help and protect the American people. You should think long and hard about what a President does, when Trump destroy the infrastructure of our economy like Trump has promised to do, you can be assured the economy will collapse. To fix the economy in a depression or a recession we need everyone of the above Institutions to keep us on tract. When you destroy those institutions as Trump has promised, it would be more than 100 years to repair it.

If the polling question referred to his conviction as the “election interference conviction” and not as the “hush money conviction”, I would bet money the numbers would be much worse for trump. How the question is posed influences the answer. Reporters, and others, who refer to the conviction as being for a hush money payment are misrepresenting what this case is about and are influencing voters.
Exactly. 'Hush money' sounds frivolous. Election interference, which sounds and IS more serious, would sway a lot of voters towards Joe and away from the psycho.

The wilful ignorance of the average American when it comes to being informed about national politics -- especially in the era of Trump -- continues to amaze me. I'm Canadian. I live in Canada. I have no vote in US elections. But I'll bet I am better informed than many "average Americans" about what's at stake this fall. And NO; I wouldn't be caught dead watching Fox "[Not really the]" News.
Don't forget that at least 12 grand jurors chose to indict him, so there was at least 816 votes to indict him, let alone the unanimous 12 votes on all 34 indictments.

As hard as the left tries they fail. Americans see right through all the acts of Political Persecutions. And many of us knew the NY Judge and Jury were in the bag for Bragg. And even if this Biden Judge tries to send Trump to jail (Something that most are in agreement on he will not do) It will all be on hold until the Appeals Process works its way through. But as we are seeing in the polling this case has not made any kind of negative impact on Trumps polling numbers and keep in mind Trump always polls below his true standings.

I vote on both sides of the fence. I am an election volunteer/poll worker. There are some republicans getting my vote this cycle. Trump is not one of them. I made my mind up long ago. I would be heart attack shocked if there was any sizable number of undecided voters prior to this last court trial.

There's a big disconnect in these polls. These polls show a majority of Americans are less likely to vote Trump and want him to drop out, yet at the same time his poll numbers rose in the battleground states.
