Are Apex Air Mountainboard Trucks Worth It? 1000+ Mile In-Depth Review

- In this video, I give my 1000+ Mile review and opinion on the Apex Air mountainboard trucks. These awesome CNC'd Aluminum trucks sport 12mm axles, a large track width, unique parallel kingpin design, and offer some of the best offroad performance I've ever experienced.
The Apex Air trucks have been ride tested for years, and are manufactured by the great folks at Apex Boards in the UK. I have great respect for the creators of these trucks, and hope that more people will be able to experience their unique design. There are several other variants of PKP trucks out there, each with slightly different characteristics. I've not been able to try any other PKP trucks as of yet, but compared to Channels, I find these far superior.
The Airs have 12mm axles, which are not compatible with small street style wheels, but offer a much stronger and more durable mounting point for your wheels. These strong axles mount into CNC'd 7075 Aluminum, offering a mildly light & very strong setup.
In total, I've put a minimum of 1336 miles on these trucks, excluding times when I forgot to track the ride. I will be taking them off my board for a bit to test another company's trucks, but I suspect they may make their way back onto this platform.

Excited to hear your thoughts on the RTKP trucks! Hopefully we don't have to wait 1000 miles for that review 😅
Haha thanks man! I hope so too! Recording the install and first ride soon!
Perfect timing I was just contemplating buying a pair of these. Thanks captian
Sure thing! Glad to help inform your decision.
*Love a follow up/1000 mile review, especially a truck review!*
⚡🤙🏼⚡🤙🏼⚡
APEX knocked it outta with this one. Angle choice talk is always interestin. I remember APEX offerin use FatCones boardside I think. I'm quite fond of Venom bushings, FreeRide venom bushings are almost the same shape as riptide FatCone bushings.
Great video dude 🤙🏼
Thanks for watching! Angle choice definitely makes a difference with these trucks. 30/30 is significantly less lively than 35/35, from what I hear.
Not 100% sure but if I wasn't the 1st I was definitely close, went full throttle into a curb when my brakes played up on me during a race with these trucks installed & bent the shit out of one of the front Kingpins, shot straight out of my shoes & landed on my back, good times 😂😂😂 still my favourite trucks!
Whew haha well hey, glad they can be replaced!
Nice🤘🤘
Thanks for watching!
Would be sick to see a stooge 3 link review at some point
Hmm that is an interesting proposition. What kind of things would you like to hear my opinion on?
@RBEMotion its mainly on the claims of "Stability at speed and turnability at lower speeds".
@@Thec0nv1ct777 Well that much is definitely true, I can do 45 mph and also turn around on a single street very easily
Have you tried the Matrix 3’s? They are incredible
Not yet! I haven't gotten to spend too much time on Channel Trucks at all.
Hello
Greetings!
