  • In this video, I switch out my Apex Airs to the new Newbee RTKP trucks! These trucks have a unique dual bushing design, but also use a traditional pivot cup, at a low angle of 15 degrees. How will they do?
Apex Airs have been my favorite mountainboard truck for a while, and I did a 1000 mile review on those here: • Are Apex Air Mountainb...
The Apex Airs use dual kingpins, mounted in a parallel design, making the hanger float on the bushings, and proving a comfy ride. The Newbee trucks offer a similar dual bushing design, with one bushing on a bolt, and the other on the kingpin. However, on the RTKP, the hanger rotates around the pivot cup, and uses a small angle to work with angled tip decks. The result is a similar feel, but less bushing resistance.
I'm looking forward to doing a lot of miles on these trucks, and intending to do a full review on them in the future. Since I received these trucks, Newbee has created a slightly different design with Rake, which is supposed to improve the stability. Check out the trucks here: www.newbee.store/products/rtk...

Glad you found it useful! They seem like really great trucks, just need to get a bit of tuning on my bushings in so I am more comfortable above 30!

The product should always make you feel more safe and empower the rider to do more and take on larger things. Get the angles right and even with no bushings you will feel safe.
This angle if right would also allow the bushing to wear less and have a longer lifespan.
This is common sense if you can add or subtract. There is a reason that trailers are a certain
length from the vehicle. Just letting them know the ways things can be improved.
I know a few skateboard truck companies offer lifetime trucks, I would assume they trust their
product more than other people/brands/etc. Also there trucks are very strong since know one
wants a lifetime of trucks that break each week. So quality is a must and in most cases the metals
can be recycled. So there is little to no waste in a redesign unless the manufacture is not as eco
    friendly as they should be.
I used to work in a few factories and well, we would recycle the product on the spot if it did not rank
as high quality. In a way it was kinda neat experience to see a mold fail and then the ability to just
mold a new one with ease.
    Great Video as usual.

Thanks! I did actually bring it to Esk8con but I ended up not riding it at all, instead I rode Black Mamba for my group rides haha
And no, I haven't tried them quite yet.

do you have a link for those lights on the front truck?

They are lights that I sell at pevcomponents.com - I haven't advertised them yet due to time constraints but they support a number of trucks, and run off the battery on the board.

That's definitely something I'd like to get to one of these days. I would love to put them on my old hummie build!
