Unlocking the Beast: Black Mamba Enclosure & Electronics (Phase 1 Pt 3)

In this video, I install the enclosure and electronics into the Black Mamba DIY eskate build. This build has been awesome to put together, and I hope you guys learn something and find the series useful!
The Black Mamba build is a 14s6p VESC-powered electric skateboard, using a MakerX D75, Flipsky 6374 motors, Onsra TKP trucks, Newbee Impaler rims, SKP tires, a Hummie deck, and a Zmote from Kamen on Tindie.
Installing the electronics in this build was not too difficult, but it was time-consuming as I ran into a couple issues I didn't document on video. I accidentally fried a switch somehow when I was soldering up the wires for the light control, and that took quite some time to figure out. After getting the switch wired up, it's pretty awesome to have the remote controlling the lights, just like on my old Hummie build!

What is ur opinion on getting a propulsion bord demon 3.0 for a first electric long bord I want to go diy I have experience with long bords and high end electric rc cars or should I just start from scratch

Hey there - I think I spoke to you on another platform, but I'll answer breifly for the people here. The Propulsion board is a great opportunity to get into DIY if you get their kit. It takes the guess work out of picking the components and gives you an easy way to experience building without the tricky bits. I think the value is a bit lower than doing straight DIY but overall it's not a bad option nowadays. If you're able to solder and pay someone to build your battery, you might be able to do it yourself a bit cheaper but it's still a large amount of stuff to collect.

Do u have to worry bout the esc overheating. Iv got the makerx dv6 I’m about to put in. My 1st build. Thnx 🙏 for all the videos.

I haven't really had an issue with it getting warm yet. The DV6 is also an amazing ESC, highly unlikely you will experience any overheating, even without a heatsink
