Kieran's arc is a lot deeper than him just going mad. He's traumatized by his sister's verbal abuse (one of her lines literally being "It's not like I hit him or anything), his alienation from the town, and the perceived betrayal of the only friend he ever had. He's more like an inverse of Arven, in that Arven is able to heal from his trauma by connecting with the player, while Kieran is harmed when the player betrays him. It's shocking to me how many of the storylines in this game center around childhood abuse and trauma(Arven's neglect, Penny's bullying, Kieran's verbal abuse). I think that, for the most part, it's handled well, and emphasizes the importance of support systems, as well as how much damage words, or lack thereof, can do for a traumatized child.
i know its just jokes a lot of the time but it really annoys me when people boil down characters to stuff like that, especially when this is probably the best writing pokemon has had for a while
Kieran was always kinda... off. Long before he met the player. He gives off a lot of obsessive "quiet kid" red flags right from the start. For example, he idolized Ogerpon before he or anyone else (other than his grandfather) knew of Ogerpon's true kind nature. It kinda makes me think he was hoping Ogerpon would come back and beat up the villagers who had alienated him.

I always interpreted the salamence thing as the line used to ONLY be Bagon into Shelgon and over time their third evolution (salamence) was obtained through sheer willpower. "Salamence came about..." implies that there was a time that salamence just flat out DIDN'T EXIST, not that it was wingless.

Thank you for acknowledging the fact that Carmine grows as a person and becomes more caring for the player and other "outsiders". Carmine clearly still has some issues but I still think she was one of the best characters in the DLC that isn't Ogerpon.

Dudunsparce being allowed in Team Sky does make sense, a Dunsparce was shown in the anime to be able to fly with those tiny wings, meaning Dudunparce should be able to as well

Also yes there are multiple games that say Dunsparce can float a little, but there's also just as many that say it can fly a little. Floating is entirely different from flying

I have my buddy as a Pokemon that doesn't show up often and has the buddy badge so when it shows up I know it's zorua. now my problem is finding ditto, if found around 4-5 zoroa and yet I still can't get a single ditto
I have my buddy pokemon as a shiny pokemon, so I know when a zorua shows up because it shows up in the overworld as the shiny pokemon, but actual shinies don't do that
In Pokemon Go, Zorua appears as whatever pokemon you have selected as your Buddy (also any other pokemon you have had as your Buddy recently), so that person has a Lunala as their Buddy. There's no way that they thought that the Lunala on the map was a wild one.

I'd personally agree with Mimikyu being a Pikachu clone, actually. Adding requirements to it beyond the obvious (looking like Pikachu) kinda misses the point of what a Pikachu clone actually is. A PIkachu clone is an attempt to use Pikachu's iconic image to boost another Pokemon for marketing purposes by making them look similar. I would argue no Pikachu clone in the past achieved this effect better than Mimikyu, who got widespread attention for how cute it was and the Pikachu clone aspect was a big part of that. No, it's not Electric type. No, it's not a rodent. It's still a Pokemon that relies heavily on looking like Pikachu to achieve its intended niche in the game. If looking like Pikachu is a primary feature of the Pokemon, I think that's enough to make it a Pikachu clone. I don't think that would cause Marill to be a Pikachu clone, because I don't think Marill actually looks that much like Pikachu. Back when people were commonly making that connection, Pikachu clones weren't really a thing yet, so it being a small rodent was enough to make the connection even though they don't really share much past that.

Lore-wise speaking, there is a chance Fezandipiti used to be a Flying/Fairy type. It's just that by wearing the Toxic Chain, Fezandipiti's body got altered through the toxic stimulants emited by it and thus its type very likely changed into Poison/Fairy along the way as well- :Ôc

Jigglypuff can fly it has been shown in the manga, Green uses her Jigglypuff like transport, Blastoise too is shown to fly using its cannons like jetpack boosters but it does eventually run out of water so yeah.

To answer Mikey's question about Pokemon go, in my experience with transforming Pokemon like Zorua and Ditto, the Pokemon WILL look like the impostor Pokemon until capture, when it transforms back into its original form. So if the Lunala happened during some sort of event like the recent Rayquaza event, it's totally fair for the poster to have been tricked into thinking it was a real Lunala. Hope that helps! 😊
The reason why the main gang (penny etc) didn't go to Kitakami is because 1. the DLC takes place during the school year (when starting a new play through) and 2. the 3 of them all meet/interact for the first time at the end of the game

Zorua is a pretty rare spawn so I could see why somebody might fall for that if they're more of a casual player but this us most likely somebody lying about it because the only thing people really use their master balls on in pokemon go are the galarian birds.
Mikey, the teal mask has crystals from the crystal pool in it, and if you remember, Carmine says they can make you see people that have died. The crystals, not the mask, brought them back. My theory
Adding onto this, the sign that explains the four masks says that the Teal Mask is able to "bring life back into withered greenery around it," so that in conjunction with the crystals easily could've done it. There's also the theory that it's connected to a fourth legendary, but that's a whole other thing

Marril is absolutely a pikaclone! Hell, for almost a year before it's name was revealed everyone was calling it Pikablu. That should tell you all you need to know.
The only pikaclone is either a Pikachu genetically engineered from another Pikachu (good luck finding the one Mewtwo made) or a Pokévolved version of a Pichu genetically engineered from another Pichu. They'll be a raiclone if they Pokévolve into Raichu.

There's a sign at the lake with the crystals talking about how the lake is rumored to be able to restore things to life. The Teal Mask has a gem in it from the lake. These gems are also connected to the terastal phenomenon, which is connected to time travel (or whatever else it is) down in Area Zero. I think Gardevior and Gallade's gender ratio is based on their origins. Gardevior is based on the Ane-sama-Ning-Yu, thin japanese paper dolls with blank faces that you could give character to. Gallade is based on a corinthian warrior- which were exclusively men from the region of Corinth, Greece, who fought in wars. I also like to think that Gardevior and gallade also make references to Romeo and Juliet, more specifically shakespearean actors of the time. this tracks with their gender ratios. Gardevior is male half the time because back in shakespeare's time, women were prosecuted if they tried to be entertainers, meaning that all the female roles in shakespeares plays (Much ado about nothing, Romeo and Juliet, the tempest etc) were played by men in drag because men never had such restrictions imposed on them like their female counterparts. .

I honestly never had a problem with Zubat, whenever I encountered one I just ran because I know how annoying they were the thing that actually pisses me off is when I’m searching for a specific Pokémon and I keep on getting Zubat every five seconds like “go the Frick away I’m trying to find a pokémon and you are not helping”
In Go, Zoura takes the form of whatever your partner Pokemon is, looking exactly the same, even if shiny, shows in overworld as that Pokemon, then after you catch it, it turns into Zoura.

Kieran's arc is a lot deeper than him just going mad. He's traumatized by his sister's verbal abuse (one of her lines literally being "It's not like I hit him or anything), his alienation from the town, and the perceived betrayal of the only friend he ever had. He's more like an inverse of Arven, in that Arven is able to heal from his trauma by connecting with the player, while Kieran is harmed when the player betrays him. It's shocking to me how many of the storylines in this game center around childhood abuse and trauma(Arven's neglect, Penny's bullying, Kieran's verbal abuse). I think that, for the most part, it's handled well, and emphasizes the importance of support systems, as well as how much damage words, or lack thereof, can do for a traumatized child.

I love the character depth in this gen. All of the characters feel like they could be real people.
Kieran was always kinda... off. Long before he met the player. He gives off a lot of obsessive "quiet kid" red flags right from the start. For example, he idolized Ogerpon before he or anyone else (other than his grandfather) knew of Ogerpon's true kind nature. It kinda makes me think he was hoping Ogerpon would come back and beat up the villagers who had alienated him.

A good tip is that legendaries/mythicals NEVER spawn in the wild, unless it's the lake trio (very rarely + region locked depending on member), if an event is happening, or if it's the Galarian legendary birds on the daily insence

I have my buddy as a Pokemon that doesn't show up often and has the buddy badge so when it shows up I know it's zorua. now my problem is finding ditto, if found around 4-5 zoroa and yet I still can't get a single ditto

In Pokemon Go, Zorua appears as whatever pokemon you have selected as your Buddy (also any other pokemon you have had as your Buddy recently), so that person has a Lunala as their Buddy. There's no way that they thought that the Lunala on the map was a wild one.

I'd personally agree with Mimikyu being a Pikachu clone, actually. Adding requirements to it beyond the obvious (looking like Pikachu) kinda misses the point of what a Pikachu clone actually is. A PIkachu clone is an attempt to use Pikachu's iconic image to boost another Pokemon for marketing purposes by making them look similar. I would argue no Pikachu clone in the past achieved this effect better than Mimikyu, who got widespread attention for how cute it was and the Pikachu clone aspect was a big part of that.
No, it's not Electric type. No, it's not a rodent. It's still a Pokemon that relies heavily on looking like Pikachu to achieve its intended niche in the game. If looking like Pikachu is a primary feature of the Pokemon, I think that's enough to make it a Pikachu clone. I don't think that would cause Marill to be a Pikachu clone, because I don't think Marill actually looks that much like Pikachu. Back when people were commonly making that connection, Pikachu clones weren't really a thing yet, so it being a small rodent was enough to make the connection even though they don't really share much past that.

Swords of Justice are a trio since keldeo is a mythical and the rest are legendaries.

To answer Mikey's question about Pokemon go, in my experience with transforming Pokemon like Zorua and Ditto, the Pokemon WILL look like the impostor Pokemon until capture, when it transforms back into its original form. So if the Lunala happened during some sort of event like the recent Rayquaza event, it's totally fair for the poster to have been tricked into thinking it was a real Lunala. Hope that helps! 😊
The reason why the main gang (penny etc) didn't go to Kitakami is because 1. the DLC takes place during the school year (when starting a new play through) and 2. the 3 of them all meet/interact for the first time at the end of the game

Zorua is a pretty rare spawn so I could see why somebody might fall for that if they're more of a casual player but this us most likely somebody lying about it because the only thing people really use their master balls on in pokemon go are the galarian birds.
Mikey, the teal mask has crystals from the crystal pool in it, and if you remember, Carmine says they can make you see people that have died. The crystals, not the mask, brought them back. My theory
Adding onto this, the sign that explains the four masks says that the Teal Mask is able to "bring life back into withered greenery around it," so that in conjunction with the crystals easily could've done it. There's also the theory that it's connected to a fourth legendary, but that's a whole other thing

Marril is absolutely a pikaclone! Hell, for almost a year before it's name was revealed everyone was calling it Pikablu. That should tell you all you need to know.
The only pikaclone is either a Pikachu genetically engineered from another Pikachu (good luck finding the one Mewtwo made) or a Pokévolved version of a Pichu genetically engineered from another Pichu. They'll be a raiclone if they Pokévolve into Raichu.

There's a sign at the lake with the crystals talking about how the lake is rumored to be able to restore things to life. The Teal Mask has a gem in it from the lake.
These gems are also connected to the terastal phenomenon, which is connected to time travel (or whatever else it is) down in Area Zero. It wasn't exactly fleshed out or super elaborated upon, but there does seem to be emergent more surrounding this stuff.

Gardevior is based on the Ane-sama-Ning-Yu, thin japanese paper dolls with blank faces that you could give character to.
Gallade is based on a corinthian warrior- which were exclusively men from the region of Corinth, Greece, who fought in wars.
I also like to think that Gardevior and gallade also make references to Romeo and Juliet, more specifically shakespearean actors of the time. this tracks with their gender ratios. Gardevior is male half the time because back in shakespeare's time, women were prosecuted if they tried to be entertainers, meaning that all the female roles in shakespeares plays (Much ado about nothing, Romeo and Juliet, the tempest etc) were played by men in drag because men never had such restrictions imposed on them like their female counterparts. .

But that also means there was a time before the mutation took place. And the possible evolution line before that mutation is what they were talking about.

I honestly never had a problem with Zubat, whenever I encountered one I just ran because I know how annoying they were the thing that actually pisses me off is when I’m searching for a specific Pokémon and I keep on getting Zubat every five seconds like “go the Frick away I’m trying to find a pokémon and you are not helping”
In Go, Zoura takes the form of whatever your partner Pokemon is, looking exactly the same, even if shiny, shows in overworld as that Pokemon, then after you catch it, it turns into Zoura.
But then, you'd have to be pretty dumb to think that a Lunala would just show up in the wild unannounced.
