    I'm surprised this hasn't had many views. Aussie blues at its best. Top playing by all.

    Chain - Towards the Blues - one of the best all time Aussie blues albums.

      Little Goose told me off once for saying Towards the blues he got quite cranky saying it’s bloody Toward! Never forgotten it. Great album!

      @@keithspencer4225 I stand corrected.
      I just looked at the album cover. Now I will have to remember that.

    • @keithspencer4225
      @keithspencer4225 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wasn’t be a smarty Brad it just reminded me of Little Goose. I called it Towards for many years, first saw Chain early 70s playing on the back of a semi tray, I think Carson played the same gig. Lost count of how many times I have seen them over the years, Toward was the best lineup for me. I have many Chain stories, most not appropriate for here. Thanks for your comment it brought back so many memories. It also reminded me to communicate with Matt, haven’t for a year or so. Thanks Brad.

      @@keithspencer4225 Cool stories from a cool time mate. Bought the vinyl Toward the Blues when it came out ( I was 15) and then saw Chain,Thorpie,Wendy Saddington,Jeff St John and all the other bands back then,as often as I could,which didn't leave much time for school studies..🤣... ✌

    A more general comment after reading the 24 below.
    Saw the Two Gooses and Warren Morgan open for Billy Thorpe and his "heavy" Aztecs at Festival Hall Brisbane.
    After about fifteen minutes Jerry Humphries joined them.
    The crowd rioted and threw all those wooden/canvas seats all over the place.
    Those really old ushers in white shirts gave up on the mayhem.
    After interval only about half the ticket holders returned for Thorpe's set.
    Top memory

      richard finlayson... Lots of bands back then would intermangle their members regularly, hence "Friends", a multi fascited mish mash of player's, just did this because they could. And Charlie T was the lead singer, bass player for King Harvest (hit song: Sex Machine) b4 joining Bill Nelsons' Be Bop Delux. Barry Sullivan was an excellent fretless Fender Precision bass player, often swapping that role with many, and this (back then) was the first and only time that I've seen and heard him playing lead, and shredding it with a Strat. Now, , the drummer here, is head swinging and hand jiving his stix like Mark Kennedy, (a young, teenage, off beat all the way, night n day, drumming prodigy, that ALL & sundrie wanted a piece of, just because he was THAT good) and here, (Matt Taylor, with real hair ) leads em out with this very beautiful musical prayer. Oh, man, those were THE days. And I was most humble e apprenticed (exposed) to it all. Regards.
