good choice! also testing "Sirenevyi" and a seedling of a "Sweetheart" I found at Walmart. Both are soft seeded. The Sirenevyi is suppose to be cold hardy. I can't find much about the Sweetheart though
@@adollarfortomorrow thanks! I had one even bigger than these. I think with proper watering and fertilizing they can get a nice size. I didn't so anything special for the tree watering wise but I did add a fertilizer spike
getting some more cracking here as well on the smaller poms, hopefully the rest will last until mid november for higher sugar like last years later harvest. i picked them all last november around the 22nd
mid november or later is usually the best for these as long as the temp doesn't go too far below freezing for more than a couple hours. i picked them all last november around the 22nd
The tree has been exposed to a low of 1f (-17c). The fruit in this video 35f. I won't pick unless we go too far below freezing for more than a couple of hours
Congratulations on growing those wonderful pomegranate. Those arils sure looked delicious. 👍🏽
Great looking pomegranates! Also good to see that they’re ripening a little sooner to beat the frost!!
Great job! Those both looked excellent inside; very large fruits as well!
I’m growing Afghanski in Virginia and Maryland. I’m glad it looks like quality fruit

Impressive!
That's nice! We have a Salavatski pomegranate 2 years in ground. Hopefully it'll fruit next year
salavatski is a great variety, I use fish fertilzer 0-10-10 in the spring which helps it bloom
@raregrowsNJ thanks for the tip!
Those are nice size
