My best friend since 2014 is a covert narcissist, & I have learned some valuable lessons on how to set boundaries & make my opinions made known to him, whether he likes it or not. The stronger I get the less he has me under his authority. I chose to spend the time how I want & with whom I want. He's a believer in Christ Jesus so there is limit to how bad he reacts or treat me & our faith is what glues us together. Though sometimes I have to pull the plugg on him when he says horrible things (he just tried to make me feel bad for what I share on social media) & I told him that his opinion is not more valuable than others & he understood, but this has happened for many years. I'm not going to continue to be a by-stander for him, I can find other friends. Thank you so much dear Rebecca for your help. ❤❤❤ God's richest blessings.

Seen them trying to distance / separate a family , causing drama in their actions so they can prove they got control over one of the person in the family

A narcissist I knew would tell me we were going to talk about something. He would talk and I would listen to what he had to say. When it was time for me to say how I felt about it, he would always cut me off before I could finish the first sentence, usually 2 words in, and he would say We'll just have to agree to disagree and this is the way it's going to be. He controlled everything, right down to how much water I'd drink and when. He would say this right from the beginning even if everything I had to say was a positive. He started this early in the relationship and continued throughout. I let him continue his one sided relationship, alone. 🎉

The lovebombing was the only part of them that I really liked and enjoyed. But since the narcs are mirroring me during that time, I guess it's me I like; not them.

I've seen this!!! And i thought she just always walked fast. Never connected the dots on that being a narcissistic trait. I'm 6'0 and she was 5'6 but was always in front of me. That was obviously the least of my worries given all the other bs she put me through. She would also wear really high heels and make a comment of me still being taller. Why would you WANT to be taller than your bf? Makes total sense now...

Agreed - weird. Sounds exactly like a married woman I had to leave a church to get away from. She was even waiting for me over by my bag once which was really creepy. It was like she had decided we were together in that way when we weren't. Also her husband eventaully asked her what she was doing and she was like "I'm waiting for Douglas", at which point he took her out of there. Now it's just like a bad memory.

A narcissistic boss would make appointments to meet freelancers who worked for her & keep them waiting for 45 minutes. One time her reason was she was honouring herself with a walk on the beach. Knowing someone was waiting she would text them saying I will be 10 minutes so that they would not just leave .. ratbag behaviours!

The phone thing: I did all this to my phone to keep the covert narc out especially since I work with a huge client that said to keep a passcode. The narc lets me into their phone but has the conversations about me in a different language or makes sure to leave. I’m not letting the narc into my phone after seeing them go through my stuff and opening my mail “accidentally”.

Yes, it worked with the lady she just started working with me and she is like the cashier hostess supposed to be helping me in the restaurant like cleaning tables and stuff like that, and then cause it was just 2 of us basically in the breakfast time at a hotel and then she was in to making these baskets. These gift baskets which say we're nice. I'm not gonna lie but she was so involved in the gift baskets like she wouldn't be doing her actual job. So guess who was stuck doing most of the work all the time. I mean, she doesn't like hosting and cashing people out. That's her what she wanted to do and sell her baskets. And I'm the jerk because I tell my manager that it's really not working. If she's not going gonna do I mean, I could cash here myself and we could put. Please seat yourself sign in the front. You know, everybody just thought she was so great. So great, and you're just like wow.

Asking someone to give them words of affirmation is effed up.
My mother suddenly and recently passed away. In a foreign country, hers. I was the only child she spoke to. For many years, I just thought they were crazy. I went no contact about 20 years ago. Now I have to deal with them over the estate. My mom made me power of attorney. Yeah, that didn't go over well with them.
My question is, one of these lovely people stole two things that belonged to her. Can I use this as leverage. We are having a Zoom meeting next week.
My mom and I were very close. She trusted me. My mom wasn't good enough for them while she was alive. Now that's she passed, you can only imagine.
Converts are just crazy.
I am writing key notes to help me on the zoom call its three against me. The ring leader is the worst.

Dood has put , many many hours , practicing , sitting behind me just out of view mirroring me, when i say many i mean like ive lost count long ago, this fact is creepier than the act of it, it becomes more annoying when you know whats really going on, dood got injured yesterday, wasnt center of attention , also he cant fake genuine , now were all gonna be punished, especially me , cruel would be an understatement, i think about just kicking his ass at least once every day

I think ' my' narcissist is a stalker, lawyer, who uses an IMSI catcher to use the ' law' and technological means to pick on someone nearby, just to " get his rocks off" and because it is affecting his reputation, he is preparing to commit murder.
I knew that about him not wanting me to initiate sex. There is a deep seated reason for that in addition to the control.
He told me a story about a lady that was walking ahead of him. Looked good from the back pretty long hair then she turned at round and she had wrinkles. He said, I felt so sorry for her. I was dumbfounded! Why ?

Saw one of his buddies at a funeral. He came up to us and asked what wrong with bro. I told him to ask him. He’s not doing that again and by the way he sure doesn’t like you.., to me!
