Masked Man Gets Shot While Trying To Carjack Undercover Police Officers With a Gun

Louisville, Kentucky - On June 19, 2023, around 1:32 p.m., two undercover officers with LMPD's Fugitive Unit were inside a vehicle attempting to apprehend a suspect in an unrelated investigation.
Officer Hayden was approached by an armed individual on foot, wearing a mask who opened the driver's side front door and pointed a gun at the officer. Officer Hayden fired several rounds from his service weapon, causing the subject, 21-year-old Mark Jaggers Jr. to drop the gun and fall backward. After the officer secured the scene to assess for additional threats, he requested other officers in the area to respond. Officers began rendering Aid and attempted to perform life-saving measures on Jaggers.
EMS responded to the scene and Jaggers was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Mark Jaggers Sr., Jaggers' father, said following the shooting that he doesn't believe his son was trying to carjack the officers and that he didn't know anyone was inside the car. "That car was sitting here for three hours. ... My son thought it was a dumped car," Jaggers Sr. said. "I know it's still illegal, I know. But it's not worth getting shot over." Hayden is a 10-year veteran of LMPD. Neither of the officers at the scene were injured. Police later said, Rex Wright Jr., 23, is the person detectives were initially looking for. He turned himself in after the shooting. He was wanted for a non-fatal shooting incident.

The undercover cop was doing surveillance for an unrelated case and the young man was trying to determine what the car with the tinted windows was doing parked near their house for all that time. This shooting is BS. And this channel is outright lying. The kid was wearing a mask as many people do nowadays, and the young man’s last words were “I wasn’t trying to rob you”. To be fair, while I entirely agree with you that she was in on it, for the sake of argument I want to look at the other side for a second. The mask he was wearing (from what I saw anyway) was a ski mask with the upper part open for ski goggles. Meaning all anyone could really see was his eyes. Quite often, a person can recognize someone from their eyes alone.
Either way, this was a family plan, and it just didn't go their way because they were too stupid to do any recon.
Alternatively, considering how fast other family members show up I suspect this incident happened either right out front of, or within walking distance from their family home. I just think everyone immediately saying she must be "in on it" are jumping to some rather extreme speculations and judgments out of conjecture. We DO NOT know the full details.
Reading the video description verified my thought about them living nearby. They all lived literally right next to the scene of the event.

The car was sitting outside their house for hours. This would spook nearly anyone. The sitting car was noticed earlier. They left for a while for unrelated reasons. The car was still there when they drove home. So the guy decided to investigate. Possibly fearing the worst (it could just as easily be gang members scoping their home for all he knows) he retrieves a gun and mask from his home. Knowing it's a high crime and gang area, he decided to conceal his identity and be armed, both just in case. Gangsters can be awfully retaliatory after all.
Im not saying thats at all what actually happened, and yes it's based on a lot of assumptions and conjecture, but no more so than the "it was definitely a carjacking and she was an accomplice" theories.
If someone refers to you as "Baby Daddy" in public, you know you're living a high-quality life.

I know these types. There is something that happens with addicts and with some people that grow up in poverty. They basically are incapable of objective analysis of their own personality, which makes them incapable of accountability or self reflection.
