Another video says you can remove the control wires from the battery (the three wire plug) and put it back in. It seems to reset the issue and get rid of the charge system warning.
I know it’s been a while since this video was posted. Just want to see if you were able to find the problem with the check charging system. I’m going through the same problem and been trying to find what it can be. Some say they’ve changed the battery others said the alternator and the issue was gone. Different cars different issues. One gentleman said that he took a pretty thick gauge cable and put one end on the battery + and the other end to the alternator. He said it’s been fixed with no issues at all. He stated the alternator wasn’t getting enough battery power for whatever reason which I don’t know but he said it’s been fixed and no issues. Just want to see if you had any luck. Thanks
Hello Scotty, hope all is well. I have a quick question that maybe you can help me. I have a 2015 Honda fit Ex-L and my check charging system came on my dash and I have a few warning labels on dash. The battery was old and I changed it everything was fine for 24hrs and again it started with the same check charging system. I’m thinking maybe it’s the alternator or the serpentine belt. The car did have a a dead battery a couple of times but it hasn’t went dead after driving the car. Any ideas or anything you think may be the problem or do you recommend anything that may help. Thanks Scotty
Did u fix the charging system issue? My son has a 2015 hinda fit has same issue. New battery, alternator replaced also replaced small box that goes on batt terminal. Car has been working properly for about 5months+...only issue is the light won't go off on dashboard. Is there a procedure for it? Thanks
Honestly I'm stunped myself. Most likely a body ground in the cabin. I only say this becuase I've done a whole engine swap with a different wire harness and still no improvement.
@hellayucky bro I kswap the car and the stupid lights are still there. Literally replaced the entire charge system and no luck. I've just accepted the lights as interior mood lighting.
I was looking into buying a Fit but not anymore. I have an Odyssey with the same problem that I can't drive because i don't know where is going to leave stranded. I have taken it to different independent shops, and also to Honda dealer to no avail. So, for now Honda cars are not in my shopping list.
It's understandable to be frustrated but my check charge system light never affected the performance of the car. Now that it's K swapped, the light doest bother me that much.
In my case it is not the light, I get the warning " battery not charging" and then after a few minutes the van stops and the battery is dead.@@ajbreaks
@@ajbreaks I actually fixed that issue, sorry it’s been a months, but I think I replaced the horn fuse (10A) Or there might be a short with the ground wire somewhere, that caused the fuses to blow. Hope this helps.
hello guys, I have the same problem with a honda city 2016, when the message CHECK CHARGE SYSTEM appears on the screen, the car stops the acceleration and right after 2 signals turn on and the motor turn off, I have to start the car over again and the car go a few kilometers and again the same problem repeats, I review the battery voltage when the car is off and when the car is on (with the alternator) and everything mean to be ok, but the problem persist, tomorrow I will check the continuity of the fuse and a possible false contact, Thank you
I replaced everything including the charge harness , alternator, battery sensor associated fuses with not improvement. I K-swapped it and now im much happier.

I had the check charge system issue for like 2 years. My battery died and I let the car sit for a number of months. After putting a new battery in, Ive never gotten the issue to come up again. So I'd say if anyone still has this problem, try disconnecting the ground on your battery and let it sit overnight. Might work for you guys.
This is one of the most annoying non-issues I've ever seen. Also, when check charge system engages, you no longer have the ability to turn traction control on or off

I've bought the battery sensor twice, correct part #, same part # as yours...the ones I keep getting sent don't fit the battery post!!
Where are you getting these from? I got an aftermarket one on Ebay and it was too small.

Check the battery terminal fuse under the red cover ;)

i’m done,.check your horn/lights/hazzard fuse it’s interrelated
Clean the connector to the alternator with a swab/isopropanol or electrical cleaner spray.

Le cambie todo relacionado con el systema de cargar y nada. Ahora tiene un K24 y sigue el mensage.
I found the same issue, and it turns out to be the fuel pump on mine.
Check your fuel pump fuse by driver foot rest.

That's what the dealership said. I'm changing the whole harness anyways so screw it. Let's get going with the swap

Go back and recheck the fuse. A short may have blown it again.

Use a scanner that will let you look for codes that are not stored
