Amazing job, Spoon would be proud lol. If you sold adapter harnesses, that'd be amazing, it appears that wiring/electrical is the greatest hurdle of the swap. Did you ever mess with trying to make more power with the stock L15B? It's certainly no K swap, but I've long wondered if one could make another ~20whp with a k&n air filter, exhaust, and tuned with a ktuner on e85.
He's Jiraiya in disguise coming from the toad world to mod cars on human earth
You will rebuild and come back stronger, faster, smarter.
You gonna bar it?
I would like to
I got the acuity red shifter knob but this is fire too
did these harnesses ever make it to market? are you selling?
Not yet, I'm trying to iron out some Non performance affecting CELs first.
awesome job. one thing that stood out to me is just how low that exhaust is. man if i did this i'd have to figure out a solution for that. especially if planning to lower a bit.
I have a 2015 GK5 and I’m starting to research a K swap for a future project. Do you have an online store? I just subscribed so I’ll be watching all your videos and making notes. Thanks for your support, there’s not a lot of GK5 love or content.
Hell yeah! LFG!!!
You found my little channel. Welcome
How much did the swap cost? Thanks! I own a 2015 base!
Lol the exact same thing happened with my old k swap civic. Dead idler pulley. It went from the worst day of my life to the most relief i ever felt. Never felt happier to spend $150 or whatever the thing cost
this is my dream daily driver. I love your car. excellent work. I had a k20a2 6 speed EP3 and it was recently wrecked in a crash. I havnt found any interest in the newer model Civic SIs, so i may have to do something similar. I wish there were more resources available for performing this swap as the K20a2 into EP3 I did was very straight forward and im afraid I will be in over my head with this one
If you want it do it. But be warned, if it's your only model of transportation it can get rough. There enough support to get going the rest is in your hands. I had never gone beyond a starter change before jumping off the cliff. I hope you have friends that can help you. Soloing a swap is challenging.
I'm really looking forward to watching through this process!
Awesome content
hey man, i’ve been thinking abt k24a2 swapping my 2018gk and i was wondering if u have any other socials that i can talk to you on if ur willing to answer questions
Dankworx_llc@IG
Very unfortunate that you had to disassemble the entire engine 🤣
I was taking the engine out anyways since my stage 2 motor was ready. I'm glad I did, now I have a back up motor in good condition.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s a Honda K24, Of COURSE it was a bearing instead of the engine 😂💪🏽
Did u fix the charging system issue? My son has a 2015 hinda fit has same issue. New battery, alternator replaced also replaced small box that goes on batt terminal. Car has been working properly for about 5months+...only issue is the light won't go off on dashboard. Is there a procedure for it? Thanks
Honestly I'm stunped myself. Most likely a body ground in the cabin. I only say this becuase I've done a whole engine swap with a different wire harness and still no improvement.
Has anyone figured this issue out??? If any I would appreciate someone that has figured out issue & not just anyone commenting, thanks.
@@ajbreaks thanks.
would also like an update 😅
@hellayucky bro I kswap the car and the stupid lights are still there. Literally replaced the entire charge system and no luck. I've just accepted the lights as interior mood lighting.
I'm late to the party, looking at buying a 2018 Sport right now, so this is very relevant to my interests (subbed and liked for the algorithm). I'd like to share a tip on ball joints though for future work. Throw away the "pickle fork" first... Loosen the ball joint nut but don't remove it, leave it on a few threads. Get a pry bar between the knuckle and lower control arm and put pressure between the 2 (maybe get a 2nd set of hands) then smack the knuckle right were the ball joint goes through with a BFH. It might take 1 hit, it might take 10 (rare) but the ball joint will pop and you won't lose the boot in the process. Stoked on this set of videos, thank you!
Thank you for the tip. I recently took out the stock K24 to drop in a built motor. I got a ball joint tool from harbor freight for 20 bucks and my life is so much easier now.
He's about to pull the whole engine out over a bad pulley. Mmaann, imagine if you had it all out and then found the bad pulley.
I was going to change the motor anyways since the metal core build was ready. I just avoided driving it since I thought something was wrong with the motor. I'm learning everything on the fly and def will make mistakes. Thanks for tuning in.
:/
Water pump bearings
If you're getting weird engine noise always check the belt tensioner they fail pretty often
Your not even a mechanic
Nope, I'm an engineer learning auto mechanics on the fly. Stay hating
😂😂😂😂😮😮😮😮@@ajbreaks
Lol those things are indestructible NA bro
Not the2.4
@jamiesmith4041 the k24z7 is a tank. You don't know what you're talking about
@@acevedohiramyou are right it is. I’ve driven the 2.4 like I stole it for the past 2 years and as long as you do oil changes you’ll be fine .
@@acevedohiram200k miles btw
Thank God
Honestly it's a good thing I did. I found some issues at the flywheel that could have become a real problem down the road.
Your fit is the best example of one that has had done to it all which you've done. I got a silver one just like it . 2015
No!!!!!!😮
Guys, help me beat the algorithm. Share my video if you liked it. Thanks for your support.
Great content brother , it will help a lot for people who are looking the same swap. The fit should have come with k swap like a fit si or something. What is your opinion about l15b swap the turbo 1.5?
It's a great motor, it just doesn't have Vtec. It does have great power and is CARB legal.
Which k engine is this specifically, is this from the accord?
I have asked the same question previously. I think this is the k24 motor from a 2012 si which apparently is the perfect swap for these cars, electronic wise. As for performance, these motors in my view is not like the k24 a2 from some accords that has 3 cam lobes on both the exhaust and intake side.
@@nemesis394 yeah, i watched his old video and he said he is going to build a k24a motor. But aren't they supposed to have vtec on both sides?
@@ABDULRAHMAN-jp7jc Nope, there are different variations in the K-series motors
@nemesis394 it's in my previous videos. The first k24 I swapped in is a K24Z7 from a 9th gen civic Si (12-15). The new motor is a JDM K24A R40. Same as our USDM K24Z7. Both motors only have Vtec on the intake cam.
@@ajbreaks 👍I am really interested in the wiring, because that is going to be a headache but i will cross that bridge when i get there. All the best with your build👊
Can’t wait
So glad to see you haven't given up on this car! I'm curious as to why you had the new block sleeved. Are you planning on boosting this motor? or is it just a peace of mind thing. Looks awesome!
It's getting boosted, then awd conversion
@@ajbreaks WHAT!? Oh my goodness I'm excited to see how that works! I know alot of awd conversions on hondas are pretty simple but i cant imagine how you're gonna fit a drivershaft under a fit. Good luck!
@@malachimasur4084 HR-V 🤫
man, amazing progress on this car. enjoy seeing it. thanks.
I can’t wait to see this Fit take down much larger things.
Is the K-Swap adapter harness for 2015 Honda Fit available?
My dream set up
Can I ask what error codes you have on the dash with this swap?
Do you still have engine lights on?
I think the hardest part is getting the electrical just right. I saw your videos, and man the wiring looked like a nightmare. You made it look easy though. Perfect music. Wu tang forever!
I'm currently doing a k24z7 swap into my 2015 fit. Thank you for sharing your progress. I desperately need help with my adapter harness. Can you point me in the right direction for buying a pre-made harness( Chassis & ECU harness? Or do you have any advice for fabricating my own? I've collected all the connectors. Thank you!!
1 month Alldata subscription is 20 bucks per car. You'll need it to pull all the wiring diagrams associated with engine controls. I'm not sure if the 2025 Fit is the same as the 2015 though. A 2025 fit may work better with the new Lseries motors.
@ajbreaks thank you! I missed typed...meant to say 2015 fit. I corrected the year on my previous post. Thnx again
Did you pull the engine out of the top or drop it down below.
gotta do the prrep if your gonna turn and burn man
@@InformalInker i feel you i have a blue gk5. I blew 2 motors in a subaru is all . Doing the same going up on ramps
Yes sir, you're absolutely correct. I built a 2nd sleeved motor for my fit. I'm in the process of installing. When I was taking out the motor I thought I blew, it ended up being just a bad idler pulley. I'm learning about this in the fly.
Is the check charge system still on?, i have the same issue
what happened?
I think that a slow leak dropped my levels low and daily aggressive canyon run may have spun a bearing. I will know more once I crack the motor open.
You had a leak and ran the car?
@@ajgrows i mean its just not smart. Also yea you need a windage tray for sloshing. I mean you dont drive a car fast around corners untill you have the proper setup.
@officaldjflo thanks for the advice. Definitely learned a lot from the fort motor. I'm addressing the windage tray on the 2nd motor I'm building for the Kswap.
I know it’s been a while since this video was posted. Just want to see if you were able to find the problem with the check charging system. I’m going through the same problem and been trying to find what it can be. Some say they’ve changed the battery others said the alternator and the issue was gone. Different cars different issues. One gentleman said that he took a pretty thick gauge cable and put one end on the battery + and the other end to the alternator. He said it’s been fixed with no issues at all. He stated the alternator wasn’t getting enough battery power for whatever reason which I don’t know but he said it’s been fixed and no issues. Just want to see if you had any luck. Thanks
Hello Scotty, hope all is well. I have a quick question that maybe you can help me. I have a 2015 Honda fit Ex-L and my check charging system came on my dash and I have a few warning labels on dash. The battery was old and I changed it everything was fine for 24hrs and again it started with the same check charging system. I’m thinking maybe it’s the alternator or the serpentine belt. The car did have a a dead battery a couple of times but it hasn’t went dead after driving the car. Any ideas or anything you think may be the problem or do you recommend anything that may help. Thanks Scotty
This is done way too well. I love this so much!
Install jdm rs facelift bodykit sir 🙌
Hey man, been watching you for years. My partner and I both drive GK5 Fits and we love your build. Congratulations! That looked so much fun. Maybe we will K Swap our Fits someday; do you think a K20C1 will fit? The turbo might be too much lol.
If the K24 fits, the K20C1 will Def fit too. I'm currently building a 2nd K24 for the Fit in prep for boost. The ultimate goal is 800 HP. First aiming for 400.
