Bernadette Teaches Music Yes.. It is going very well. I have figured out the 7 diatonic chords in a few keys. Scale shapes are a bit tricky because of the high G string.. Should develop a way to play scale shapes in all 4 strings.
There are some people who order strings to get the Low G tuning. I think you might like that! I was thinking about doing that with my tenor in the future... something to think about ;)

Just an update, got my uke today and played this song! Chords are same as guitar, I'm still adjusting for 4 strings. Hahaha! I wonder what's hard, from playing uke then guitar... Or playing guitar then uke? 🤔 What's bigger adjustment?

Really nice, nice to hear you singing along also. Bad thing is I had some big earrings like yours but mine were cheap and I didn't realise they were magnetic. I was stuck to the fridge door for five hours until my dog woke up, grabbed my trouser leg and pulled me free, Ouch! 👂👂 C

Loving this song and working on it for a few days now. I got the notes and the downstrokes but when I do the strumming pattern of DDUUD how does that fit in the with notes and chord progressions? I'm new and can't seem to figure out how many DDUUD you do for each letter, A, E, D, etc... anyone help?

I'll admit a little frustration. Going to be practicing that E chord over and over again. I turned the speed setting to your video down to .75 and still had difficulties. I may have to set it to .50 speed just until I can get thru this song. Speed will come later. I'm going to use the pdf to practice then come back and try to play along to your video again. Thank you.
it took me a while to master E chord. I remember practicing it while watching tv (just practiced the left hand, no strumming).

I must be doing something wrong. My left wrist is sore this morning. In order to put my index finger down on the first string second fret my middle finger on the 4th string kept going into the third fret. Is this common for learning E chord? I wonder if I was tilting the neck up to far.
