Best your swing has ever looked Brendon. No concern about elbows, wrists etc. Love it. These Marcus Bell videos have been very educational.

GRF golf are by far the best instructors on you tube. It’s all in the feet 🏌🏻

Love this guy- In short while I have been focused on upper body swing - I've neglected lower power power- now using "pop and drop" really started to hit the ball with less effort. Thank you! Can’t wait to see the rest of your videos!!!

Have followed him on his own channel, so have seen this transformation on others. B, he seems to have gotten your whole body into the swing. You just look so connected.

    Brendan,
One thing that is fun, is that he’s teaching leg work properly. The legs work early but not fast, they dig in provide support so that the upper body (especially the arms can relax and swing). Legs create support and the arms swing and play off of that support. The legs pushing back (stabilizing) is what gives speed a chance. It seems like your tendency is to get forward quickly (way better than it used to be) but everything tends to go forward through the wall. That is where pulls come from. This training gets a firm front leg early feel going! I also like that he focuses on listening to the body instead of instructing the body. You have to instruct the body every time unless your body learns it once by listening.
I enjoy that you have good variety on your channel.IMHO he’s got the best motor learning approach so far on the channel. He’s a teacher as well as a coach.
    Hope all is well,
    Alan

Yeah it’s a SLOW and heavy Mechanic w the legs. Gotta be so early

Now what Drew Cooper says about the backswing (being over after the takeaway) starts to make sense. It has to feel like that to get the body on pace. Sometimes I try to unload my trail leg as soon as possible and then do the same with the lead…the pressure loads are quicker both trail and lead. It’s a good feeling because you don’t get stuck anywhere. I was also going to say earlier, that when he told you to do something you went to a thought, then feel automatically. That is a great way to learn. If you take it one step further and do one or two with no thought just the feel, it should cement it faster. Any thought (beyond intention) makes movement slow.
      Alan

As Pete Cowen says, a golfer should focus on the up and down forces in the swing. The up and down forces will produce the horizontal and rotational forces automatically. A golfer cannot focus on all three forces at once, but he can focus on one of the forces as a swing key.

The swing structure has improved considerably from years past…with that structure only minor adjustments (feels) will be required to fine tune desired ball flight

I'm guessing Marcus doesn't look at a golfer's dominant leg, or post (Rear/Center/Front) like Mike Adams and Scott Lynn do? Curious to hear his thoughts on that. Would like to see the pressure map of this on swing cat.

I wondered about a pressure plate reading increased left side pressure from a kind of smash and rebound versus just shifting over to the left side, very insightful, hopefully I can implement it, haha!

Now that they have dual plates with 1 for each foot that should be able to mix with 3d cameras to see what you are talking about in great detail

  • @mikebarnard2689
    @mikebarnard2689 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Have to agree, your swing looks extremely conventional and non quirky ( this is a compliment )
You have enough video footage over the years to make a direct comparison of say a face on swing. This looks extremely Pro like and your balance is perfect at these higher swing speeds.
So again a zero swing technique ( no positions no face/path stuff) has produced a resultant excellent swing.

This is the one big thing I k kw I do and I can't foe the life of me get it right. I interstate the concept and actually work on it in the gym. But taking it to the driving range and course is a different animal for some reason.
