USA athletes win 400m gold SIX times in a row! 🏃‍♂️

Between the 1988 and 2008 Olympics, the United States dominated the men's individual 400m athletics event, winning gold six times in a row. Here are the names of all six gold medal winners during this period:
1. Steve Lewis: Lewis won gold in the 400m event at the 1988 Olympics held in Seoul, South Korea with a time of 43.87 seconds.
2. Quincy Watts: Watts won gold in the 400m event at the 1992 Olympics held in Barcelona, Spain with a time of 43.50 seconds.

4. Michael Johnson: Johnson also won gold in the 400m event at the 2000 Olympics held in Sydney, Australia with a time of 43.84 seconds.
5. Jeremy Wariner: Wariner won gold in the 400m event at the 2004 Olympics held in Athens, Greece with a time of 44.00 seconds.
6. LaShawn Merritt: Merritt won gold in the 400m event at the 2008 Olympics held in Beijing, China with a time of 43.75 seconds.

Kudos to Karani James and wayde Van for breaking up the US dominance. The strange one is 2008 where Wariner ran a 44.15 in the semis then faded badly and ran 44.75 in the final
