I love this gane its so unique imo gameplay wise. You can just keep it on the table and play 30 minutes to an hour or 2 every night and make some progress. Som excited to get the new stuff
I 100% agree!!! Most unique game Iv played in a while. I love having it one the table and looking at and saying ok I’m going to sit down and attempt “this”. And then work towards that goal. I find it very important to have a goal with this game. I have a ton of fun every time I have sat down with this game. 😃😃👍

This is one that I want to get back to the table. I want to play it two players though, I think it'd work better than just playing solo like I was, even though you move as a group.
It is fun solo but playing 2 players bouncing ideas off each other and laughing the whole time!!! I can’t wait to get this back to the table!!! Great to hear from you as always Peder!!! 😃😃👍

That was a great idea. This update pack bring great changes that people wanted and also gives a great balance across all the characters. I can’t wait to get back to it!!! 😃😃😃
I hadn't gotten too far in my copy when the news was announced for the upgrade pack. I stopped playing in anticipation to restart all over again with the new content. There are so many other games in my collection to play that waiting for this hasn't been an issue
It’s going to shock you but I was in the same situation I hadn’t got far and I have a “few” games I could get to the table while waiting for this update pack. Now it’s time to dig back in 😃😃👍
Very excited to get this. I didnt back the 1st print but did back the 2nd, most recent one. I have way too many games showing up now though that I don't know which to play first! 😂 I know, that's not a problem, it's opportunities. But, curious to know either which would you play first or which is easiest to learn to play and start playing the quickest of these? Isofarian Guard, Tanares Adventures, and Deep Rock Galactic?
That’s awesome!!! Sounds like you have some tough choices. Deep rock is quite easy to learn as what I understand. Isofarian will be an emense epic adventure that will take a while to get through but they have a great instruction book. @@MeetMeAtTheTable Tanares is HUGE! I went all in and have received storage boxes 1 and 2 with all its content. I still have more to get, but mostly it's the massive miniatures (big-atures) since they're dragons and monsters between 4 to 10 times as big as your hero.
There is a dungeon crawler game as well as an RPG. It's the Dungeon crawler that I'm getting shipped. Each storage box is the size of a Kallax cube hole. And the adventure story books are split into weeks 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, that are an inch or inch and a half thick each. They also have a slightly smaller package that fits into 1 Kallax cube sized box. So a ton of content. Maybe too much to actually play through completely and still play other games.

Do you think you will start over with the new content? I got half way through Campaign 1 Chapter 4 when I backed the update pack. I think I'll start again myself. Look forward to playing along with you and Colin when you do your live shows.
That’s a great question. I don’t know if we will start over per se but we may start at the beginning of chapter 2. That of course is if we decide this is the game to play!!! 😃😃👍

I hope you get your copy soon. This will be an epic experience you will enjoy. As for league of Dungeoneers it has a new home. I couldn’t keep it since I would not play it as much as I should so no I don’t have the upgrade pack. 😃😃👍
So the million dollar question is, "Do I have to restart from Campaign 1 all over again, or can I continue with the update from where I left off?" We had just finished Campaign 2 when we ordered this and decided to wait until it arrived to start Campaign 3. Do you know if we can just add the update pack and start 3?
Great question. You can totally just add it in now and start from where you were playing. You are good to go Beerman!!! I was just playing a little of chapter 2 i will just pick up from where I left off adding in all this cool stuff!!!😃😃👍
So some decks are straight replace as whole but some are card specific?
You are correct this is something I was going to ask Sky Kingdom is if they could give a list to the card decks that only replace some and the ones that are new. I think that would help people I would be scared I throw something out I’m not supposed to lol!!!!! 😃😃👍
On an unrelated topic, have you played Tanares Adventures? I just got it and it just screams Bairnt!! Seems like a perfect game for Hit and Miss :)

You definitely need to. Fantasy, campaign, standee version was very affordable. I haven’t started since I have iss vanguard on the table but it looks fantastic. A ton of quests then a city building phase and a world building phase. Rule book is massive (81 pages) but it’s one of the best I’ve ever read.

I assume you liked the game? I played the first chapter and it was okay, but the thought of going through it all again 3 more times with 3 more sets of characters just didn't appeal to me. I don't mind grind in games at all, but this one was just too repetitive for me. Did any of that change? I ended up selling it for something. Can't remember what.
Kevin that is a great question. There is a things set in place to help elevate the grind they have introduced the system where your fort can gather some of those resources the prestige system can help the grind by eliminating half of the material costs. Also they expanded the bag size to hold more materials. They give you the option now of not encountering the skull chip at the cost of energy. Now with that said if these are not the reason you found the game grindy then I don’t have an answer for you. Also you will still need to fight random encounters as you move across the land to build up your character if XP gathering was grindy not sure there is much out in place to help. Im not a fan that content creators get special treatment. I'm fine with them getting prototypes but getting games and expansions shipped early and for free is not fair. Its not that big of a deal but I wish they got the final product at the same time as everyone else.

I get giving back to those who helped pump your game. What I don’t understand is how this early release generates anything for the company behind IG. It’s great for Bairnt and others, don’t get me wrong. But for the developers, they lose money paying for individual shipping of a product. It seems a bit counter in today’s economy. I’ve seen companies ask for more shipping while they are first class overnighting these promo freebies out to 100+ folks.
Bairnt did a great video, so again, nothing against the YT and other content creators out there.
Thank you for the great discussion. I should talk to Steve from Coop guild and make this a discussion topic for one of our Coop Chats we do almost every Saturday. I totally get both sides of this discussion. For transparency purposes I’d like to state that I have backed this all in update pack and will be getting one when they deliver. I don’t reach out to publishers asking for these early releases but when they offer I will say yes if it is something that I am really looking forward to, or others in the community say I should really take a look at and think I would enjoy. I hope that when I have these opportunities I am able to use them to the best of my ability to give informed information of what is coming and are able to help the consumer, and the company that provided it. Most of the time the companies don’t have the knowledge or ability to create content that is able to showcase there products in a professional way and I feel I am able to help them with videos like this so the consumer can see what they are getting and the changes that are coming. This info then can be relayed through the comment section and through their discord to answer question before the copies arrive. Also I am able to ask questions and get answers for people that they may have in the future. I already have a few questions and am planning to ask Sky Kingdom that may help others when they get there copy of this update pack. Again I do understand the frustration that backers get when they have not only been waiting for these products but also have spent hard earned money to have them Delivered. Sky kingdom games is a really great company that I feel is honest and works to make really amazing products and I would like the believe has everyone’s best interest at heart. The early release helps the community understand by seeing what they are getting before they get it. If content creators got it the same time as backers then backers would need to wait for videos to be made if those videos could answer common questions. This alleviates the game company from many more emailed questions, etc. So, to say there's no benefit is short sighted and wrong. In this video Bairnt says you get new books and can discard the old ones. That was a common question for Tanares backers too. So, I think you are just a little jealous and not looking at the bigger picture that this helps the community.
Also, since there will be people that didn't back the game, they see what they missed and have time to plan to buy it when Sky Kingdom gets the regular shipments to their store. Hopefully this helps enlighten the "why this is a good thing" question.
@@timf7354 For me, it has nothing to do with jealousy. I’ve had 2 different campaigns in the last year ask for more money because they mismanaged or do underestimated costs. In one case, they ate the first $100K profit, at which point the entire community said “we got you” and covered it via tips. In another case, they asked for tons more money ($40 for shipping, IIRC). Shipping rates didn’t change that much over time, and they still were first class overnighting shipments to various content creators. At some point, if you are out of cash, spending more cash while asking for extra doesn’t really give me hope in supporting you as a company in the future.
