Great job! Sorry for all the comments. I was a play tester for this expansion so I LOVE watching people play it. I hope to see more Bond on your channel!!
Oh yeah I love this game! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!
Always great to see more Legendary. Thanks.
Love em!! Thanks!
I enjoy this incarnation of the Legendary system and - bonus! - so does my husband. Thanks for the play through, Colin!
Oh nice!!! It's always great when your significant other enjoys a game right???!!
@@MeetMeAtTheTable Yes! Kerry is a casual gamer, although he is coming round to gaming more now that he has retired, and I am loving it!
@bookaddict777 yessssss!!!!!!
James Bond never stops giving.
H hahaha!!!!
10:54 I have found that the best strategy is to only fight those henchmen when you can potentially trigger your risk it all THAT turn as it greatly increases your chance of verifying that you can safely KO a starter. This is risky as your on assignment will grow if you let henchmen stay there BUT KOing a great card with risk it all is NEVER fun. :)
I totally hear you I should have done that more!
39:20 an idea would be to leave the recruit starter on top of your deck and THEN when you play the risk it all you guarantee the KO of a starter.
That would have been smarter!!!
22:49 haha. Someone has been playing marvel champions? The blue card you called leadership! :)
Oh really?? Hahaha!!!!!
One clarification for future plays: Henchmen are still classified as Villains ( They are “Henchmen Villains” ) so any card effects referring to Villains including the Escape penalty from the Mastermind apply to Henchmen.
Good call thank you!!
8:28 the threat mechanic first appeared in this bond expansion.
It's so cool I hope they use it more!!
Loved the play through but it seems like regular Legendary doesn’t scale well. Once you start hitting the mastermind, then the game seems to get a lot easier, as opposed to Legendary Encounters which seems to start of easy and gets more difficult the longer the game goes. Maybe I’m wrong? Love the videos and can’t wait to see more, good sir!
That is a good point! I do think I much prefer the encounter series where it's objective based vs. Just taking down the boss. If I hadn't had that slew of attacks on the mastermind.. Pierce was going to have a hard time with all those wounds! Thank you so much for watching!!
The scaling comes from the tiered decks. This particular Mastermind has a pretty low attack value but you usually have to fight him quite a few more times than a regular Legendary game.
@gwgumby very true I just got to him early enough!
29:44 I am not positive…but I think the explosive mines being placed into the on assignment counts as it’s action that turn. In other words I don’t think you can play it for its five attack AND do that special effect. You play a card to generate its recruit and/or attack and that is playing the card.
Yeah I was not sure either! I have asked on bgg but no one has responded. If you find out for sure can you let me know? I'll do the same! Usually you can play a card and do it's action so wasn't sure..
Great video! I like all the legendary games but if I had to rank them, my list is below. What's yours?
1. Aliens
2. Predator
3. Matrix
4. X-Files
5. Firefly
6. Buffy
7. Big trouble little china
8. Marvel
9. 007
Alien is number 1 followed by 007 as they have the most content! X-files likely next as it has the most replay then matrix and then firefly!
Ho Colin great gameplay !
Do you prefere this One or the Matrix One?
Great question! So iv much prefer the matrix one but it only has 3 scenarios in the box. This one has 3 expansions so I would almost always recommend this one over the matrix. Hope that helps!!
Great playthrough Colin! I love this game as well.
Small error you made, gadgets don't go the Henchmen. So the Mastermind should have received that card.
Oh thanks for that!! I'll make a note what a fun game!!
No. Any card on assignment will take the gadget. If it is empty the gadget will go to the Mastermind.
@@gwgumby If the Villain Deck Card
is a Gadget:
The bad guys have acquired the Gadget! Place the Gadget under the Villain or Mission card that is closest to the Villain Deck. If there are no Villains or Missions On Assignment, then the Gadget is acquired by the Mastermind.
There is no mention of Henchmen. Only Villains and Missions.
@@BmlCom see me comment about Henchmen and Villains. Henchmen are classified as Villains.
I do find this to be confusing!! And it shouldn't be haha!!
