Hey Heiko, I'm watching some of your old vids because I'm thinking of getting a German friend either a Rockwell 2c or Merkur 34C for the holidays. I love that you actually talk about how the razor handles and feels; some other popular channels glance over that and give the same spiel every time. Thanks for being genuine and nice improvements on the channel since even 3 months ago
Nice shave Heiko ! Although the sunburn isn't that much fun, the look suits you. ( although you look quit tired ) I think it's nice to see a razor again which isn't that much exhibited anymore. Never heard anything about Prep, so I've put it into my wishlist. Many thanks again and have a safe day Heiko ! !
That's good to know, I have a 41c and was wondering if there is much of a difference between the two if any? Maybe that could be a future comparison video as well , haha maybe.
Love my MERKUR 34C. But I've just stripped my second head thread. It's like the screws too small. I have very sensitive skin and fair skin. Any other razor you could recommend for me? Thank you!
I just did a shave with a Yintal 316L stainless steel razor. Very mild, very pleasant. The other razor that is my absolute favorite when it comes to mildness but still has effiency is the Leaf Twig. That one is great.
It is hard to say. The king C gillette memory is already fading away. I got all three now how about I make a video about it. I am guessing the mildest is the 34c but let me verify that for you.
Another fantastic shave! I love the Prep. One of my favorite preshaves. I've had trouble finding it though, where did you get yours? Back when I just had two razors that I shaved with, it was the 41C (I think) open comb to take off 4 or 5 days of stubble, for the first pass, followed by the 34C for the final 2 passes. Always a great razor. Cheers and have a fun week!
Educated guessing is good what you say ~9 : 30 on the timeline, but the number of passes and idea of "beard reduction" is also applicable. You only appear to have no more than 4 days of growth, and your shave with this mild razor goes very well; and you were on the end of pass 1.
It did a good job, didn't get clogged but I guess that also depends a bit on the type of soap. It removed stubbles on all three passes and it led to a clean shaven face.
I have one video out on a 6S. I didn't immediately warm up to it but I have since changed my approach to reviewing and shaving. I will revisit the 6S soon. The 6C is a less expensive alternative. Go for it try it. Let me know what you think.
The 6C is an excellent razor. It’s very smooth. And of course you get six plates (3 * 2) which will give you the opportunity to see which plate works best for you in terms of comfort and efficiency.
Can I give you three? My favorite three razors would probably be in no particular order the AL13 Henson, the Merkur 41C(some days maybe the 34C) and the Rockwell 6S.
I think that the King C. Gillette has the same head. Maybe a little too mild. While I am watching this, my visiting friend is shaving for the first time with a KC Gillette DE razor that I gifted him today. I think we have another convert…
I just bought another KC Gillette. I think the head is the same profile as the Edwin Jagger. I will make a comparison between those two razors. The KC Gillette is a good razor and was my first ever giveaway. The only issue I had with it were the sharp out corners. I like them rounded off.
I just looked. A bit on the pricey side. I can't seem to find a sample size. between $35-50 for a bottle of a scent that I don't know is rough. Lets see.
I am only guessing here, but with your sunburn, even two-pass shave may give some irritation. (Okay, I was wrong. You report the post shave feel was .... you said nothing about any irritation.)
$ 40 CHEAP Muhle r89 safety razor WITH Muhle r89, R41 or Edwin Jagger HEADs ONLY WITH IKON HANDLE better shave the Ikon handle is heavier, the head will not come loose from the handle, has a better grip, it's more user-friendly to shave with, it's only $20 when i bought my handle through Amazon Your mileage may vary? wheelchair larry

Thanks, I appreciate that. You can't go wrong with either of those razors. With the Rockwell they will have a bit more flexibility in aggression.
Very nice shave! Seems like the 34c is a great razor for you. Got you a smooth, very comfortable, nick and irritation free shave.
It is great. Really so comfortable that I could use it daily for a one pass shave. Greetings
My go to razor with gillette silver blue
Excellent shave and the perfect razor to use since you had sun burn. Stirling is a great value:)
Nice shave Heiko !

Thanks for your comment. Have good too.
Nice shave Heigo. Nice razor. I haven't used my 34c in quite a while. Have a great weekend.👍👍👍
Thanks, you too!
top shave with the 34c👍have a nice weekend😃
Thanks, you too!
Nice shave Heiko, thanks for reviewing the merkur 34c
It is a good comfortable razor and it isn't so mild that it doesn't shave anymore. I will definitely keep this one.
That's good to know, I have a 41c and was wondering if there is much of a difference between the two if any?
Maybe that could be a future comparison video as well , haha maybe.
There is definitely a difference in feel. The open comb feels a bit rougher but is just as gentle when it come to irritation.
classy content H! Greetings from south africa, regards Mr. Straight Razor
Thank you

hello Heiko,I never usted the Merkur 34c,wich do you think is softer(mild) between Merkur34c,Edwin Jagger DE89 and King C Gilette
It is hard to say. The king C gillette memory is already fading away. I got all three now how about I make a video about it. I am guessing the mildest is the 34c but let me verify that for you.
I really enjoy the German word of the shave. Try a Feather blade in the Merkur and stubble will be gone!
That is sound advice. A mild razor with a sharp blade will make it a bit more efficient. Thanks, I will try that.

@@Heiko-shaves vielen herzlichen Dank, über ein solch besonderes Custom Stück (designed and german made from USA) würde ich sehr freuen.

I bought it through Amazon. Link to it is in the video description . Cheers
I use the PREP after the shaving - it`s very good against skin-irritations !
Hydrovance is hydroxyethyl urea which acts as a moisturising agent. Nice shave indeed.
Thanks for the clarification. Greetings, Heiko

Heiko, have you shaved with the Rockwell on video? I'm thinking of getting the 6C even though I only started shaving four months ago.

The Rockwell 6C is a great razor - you really need to get it - won't be disappointed.

Great shave, looking forward to try this razor myself! What is your favorite razor for now?

Hello heiko shaves, can you give mandom aftershave a try?
I just looked. A bit on the pricey side. I can't seem to find a sample size. between $35-50 for a bottle of a scent that I don't know is rough. Lets see.
I love slight germanic accents.
Give me a can of Gillette shaving gel and a fusion blade ,with some coolwater aftershave. Feel like a million bucks.😂😂😂😂
I would stick with the 34c over a fusion any day of the week. But that is of course personal preference.
If you like mentholated soap try Chiseled Face soap called Cryogen, it's intense.
I'll put it on the list. Thanks

I am only guessing here, but with your sunburn, even two-pass shave may give some irritation. (Okay, I was wrong. You report the post shave feel was .... you said nothing about any irritation.)
It felt great. It took a bit more effort to get to a smooth face but no knocks or cuts, no irritation to speak of. It was really very comfortable.
So the ADJUSTABLE Rex Ambassador can't get as mild as the FIXED 34C??? Wow - fail galore IMHO.

I have seen the Ikon handles. I now have a R89, R41, EJ and the 34c. I will do a bit more head to head comparison. Thanks for commenting.
for the price its great
