Okay so lets get this right, there's no existing early copy of the acts of pilot and they're only contained in apocryphal writings which are known to be non biblical and written hundreds of years later, Is there any proof that the acts of pilot is the first century document. Do we have a copy of it, Is it referenced in other first century documents because all these are apocryphal writings, if you notice all seem to come around the second, third centuries onwards. So once again no evidence whatsoever that these accounts are accurate

In church they say that Pilate condemned Jesus, but if you read the Bible it describes Pilate trying to get the people to agree to release Jesus, and when they wouldn't he literally washed his hands to say that he was having no part in Jesus's death and that the guilt would therefore be entirely on the people.

I would like to point out that the Church does say that Pilate washed his hands, and tried to realese Jesus by telling the Jews that its there tradition to realese a prisoner on the passover feast, but he was scared, as Ciaphias was a very cunning dog, he black mailed Pilate, that he would tell Ceaser, the People choose Barabbas, and this i learned from the sermons that where held in church at a tender age.
However he was still led out to be crucified by soldiers and since we know there was a centurion present we can safely assume roman soldiers were present.

I read his entire letter to Ceasar. In it I found a man who was overwhelmed by the job of Governor. I found a believer in Christ as the son of God. And I found his story of the crusifixtion and resurrection to be entirely accurate with the storys in the Gospels. To say that this did not happen can no longer be taken seriously after reading this third party witness to the events.

As you said the appearance physically of the Lord matters not, looks are but a thing of vanity to man. What matters most is that we believe on Him unto salvation, in anf through the faith that he has given us for it is by grace that we are saved, not of looks. It is with and by His precious shed blood that we are saved, cleansed, left without blemish unto eternal life which is the gift of God to all who would believe on Him.
All who are looking to the skies for signs and wonders should instead be searching the scriptures, for it says that He will come as a theif in the night. Such do not forewarn you with signs of their immenant arrival. When Christ returns triomphant, , every eye shall see Him.

I loved the moments when Pilate stood up to Ciaphas, such as when Pilate had "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" posted above Jesus' head (as was common at Roman executions to post the person's crime over their head) causing Ciaphas to have a fit and demandedPilate to remove it. Pilate's response was, "I have written what I've written!"
What Caiaphas wanted to be posted was "This man said, 'I am King of the Jews'".

@mchooksis He didn't create us like that, but we were granted free will and chose to defy Him. So He had to keep His word and we now have to live in this world and die. He gave a second chance and He gave us the law as a gift (if we would keep His law, this planet would be a great place to live), yet again chose/choose differently. So now we have to suffer in this life.
Again He is merciful and He paid our fine (wages of sin is death). Now thanks to Him, but trusting Him and trying to live a loving life and keeping his words, we are given our third chance. But know that this is our last chance.
I saw the letter over a month ago and it just shows how much authority Jesus had without even speaking a word.

Hell was created for the 1/3rd of the heavenly angels who rebelled against YHUH and sought to make s.a.tan their new king of Heaven. Of course, the attempted Take-Over failed (thankfully!). When people decide that they don't need or want to receive YHUH's Way of Salvation via His Only-Begotten Son, Yahusha HaMoshiach, (Jesus The Messiah), those people are making a cognizant, personal choice to live their lives without Him. They don't want Yahusha to be their Savior because they see no need of themselves needing one. They think they are good enough to get into Heaven on their own. There are no "do-overs". The only time you can change your mind and have the chance to ask Yahusha to be your Savior is while you are living right here, on earth. Nope Easter is nothing to do with Passover which came three days and nights before His resurrection. He was resurrected on the Sabbath during the feast of unleavened bread. The commanded 7 day feast that starts the day after Passover at sunset. It was this annual Sabbath that drew near so they had to get him off the cross and buried not the weekly Sabbath. Johns account calls it a high day. Which means it's an annual not weekly Sabbath
I'm a tough guy ~ At 73 I've done so many life or death and cheating death things. I surfed all my life and now kitesurf and take some gnarly wipeouts so I know about getting beat up. The thing that has jumped out at me after so many years of THAT ~ is this ~ Jesus took a really hard hard beating. They beat him beyond recognition. He TOOK THAT BEATING and more and the ONE GNARLY Centurion said of him at the end "Surely this man WAS the son of God" ... I say that this Centurion saw the beating and how nobly he suffered. THAT CENTURION was GNARLY and saw much punishment... so he would KNOW ! Jesus went to his death with more courage than anyone he had ever seen in this disciplined centurion's long life of horrors and strife. Disciplined men know each other. This Centurion who witnessed the beating of Christ had the ultimate respect for him on a visceral level and his supernatural ability to suffer the torture. Impressions like that garner respect that no other kind of behavior can provoke. Christ was more noble in this than anyone else they had ever seen by far. He had a supernatural ability to be savaged and the tormentors were amazed one by one.. Pilot had to know these facts and they could not have been unworthy of profound hushed stoic respect . Stuff like this goes unreported as it's spoken by hushed awed men who all know they themselves would have broken after such punishment. THEY BRUTALLY KILLED HIM and then he didn' even stay dead. THAT's some comeback ~ they did this to one who didn't deserve it. They were affected by these things profoundly. When you see strength like that it's so impressive that the murmurings off it travel widely and in awe. Pilot did not want to kill Christ and when it was over everyone were astonished. Never in these men's collective memory had anyone ever been so righteous and good and they KILLED HIM!?! You can bet that there was some serious scuttlebut about it and it never ever went away. His message of peace and tolerance combined with how he stood in their presence with dignity and automatic majesty impressed the shit out of these men who lived in a very cruel world and they delt it out and could take it themselves. Nobody missed that event ~ it was their ENTERTAINMENT !!! You combine all that with three hours of very black unnavigable darkness mid day and a powerful earthquake and you got some shook up people who suddenly are searching each others faces for some Ideas or logic. Christ was not just some guy. The world has NEVER been the same after that. NOPE ~ After seeing something like that your solid perfectly sane tough guy will walk around in circles mumbling to himself. Yea People tend to notice that stuff.
Well said. These facts are so often overlooked. It was no walk in the park, it was no light weight slap across the face. He was scurged, whipped with such that tore the very flesh from His bones, it was a brutal beating. He was so badly beaten that He could not carry His cross and another was ordered to carry it for Him. And then when the cross was raised and fell into place, every bone in His body was dislocated. None have endured as Christ endured. Christ laid down His life for those who would believe. He laid down His life for none could take it from Him.

And in so doing, fulfilled His promise that He would come and save His people.

It's not a main point, but this videos narrator said it was probably added later because the Bible says he looked like the average person from his region. Galilee. What the narrator fails to realize is that there were different looking people throughout that region and the average person from Galilee was fair haired and fair skinned compared to the rest of the region. So although the Bible says Jesus looked like your average man from his area, the fact that he stood out while preaching doesn't discount the authenticity of this document. That's why it mattered. Not because of the message, but to see if the document was authentic. Which a fair haired and fair skinned Jesus does fit in with that time, even if the surrounding populations had darker hair because he looked like your average man from Galilee. In a similar way Guadalajara Mexicans typically have lighter eyes and complexion than their surroundings areas. This document sounds very authentic. We know Pontius Pilate had such trouble governing the region that some evidence suggest he fell on his sword when returning to Rome.
There are so many historical accounts of Jesus that it's crazy to think we have those who don't believe today. Even letters from Romans who mocked him and Christians. Even the Romans mocking him, still accepted his existence and story of his life as facts. To think there are people today who still deny Jesus is crazy in my mind.

This is a very good story about Pilate and his actions and his admiration of Jesus. Whether it is true or not. I don't know. I do know that his description of Jesus and his talk of his much serenity and calmness that Jesus evoked is expected from what the Gospels say about Jesus. He was hated by the Sanhedrin, Pharisees, the elite of the Jews in charge of the Temple at that time. I know I love Jesus before I read this, and I will Love Him forever. We all have a God-shaped void, that we try to fill with counterfeits that only Jesus Christ can fill.. he wants a relationship and fellowship with us. He loves us and wants to spend eternity in heaven with us. We need to be sorry to God for what the Bible says is sin. Only once we realize we're lost can we be saved by trusting and the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus came to ke for 3 nights in my dream. He was a teacher and he was teaching the bible to me... he wouldn't allow me to look at his face. I tried, he said , don't look at me. He walked back and forth teaching me the bible. He read it from memory. His hand i saw, his skin tone is the same as the jews skin color. The problem with this document is that it makes sense. If it is a later writing, the writer had much insight. With such large crowds that Jesus drew, you can't tell me that Pilate didn't know anything about it until the day of the trial. That wouldn't make any sense.
In the apocrypha Pilate's wife had a servant who witnessed Jesus on the donkey and he returned to tell her other servants of the miracles he saw that day. Pilate's wife found out and had a dream about Jesus. When Jesus was brought before pilate the servant recognized him and bowed to him. The high priest Caiaphas ordered the servant to be whipped and the servant was ordered to answer to pilate. Pilate's wife intervened and told him her dream. Pilate was greatly troubled and wanted nothing to do with Jesus' death.

Light hair is actually possible, considering that both Joseph (from Old Testament) and King David were said to have had reddish hair AND both were a type of Christ.

I've often wondered about what the Bible doesn't say about Pontius Pilate's meeting with Jesus, so it's quite feasible that Pontius Pilate did write a letter to Ceasar. If the letter is the original then everything the bible says about Pontius Pilate the crucifixion is true. History has proved this many times

I believe they are legit. Even just reading the Bible, I always felt Pilot knew Jesus had done nothing wrong, but the craziness of that culture's inhabitants in the city, gave him pause to semi-quiet them (sounds familiar even now). Always felt Pilot did not want to hand Jesus over, which was why he gave them a choice of letting Jesus go or an awful, psycho criminal go. Though it was obviously meant to happen, I just don't think Pilot was aware of how earth-shattering his actions would turn out to be.
I think Pilots wife had an ominous dream about Jesus. She told Pilot to take nothing to do with him.

The betrayal and death of Jesus was also during Passover Week when thousands of Jews poured in from surrounding areas to celebrate deliverance of the Israelite slaves from their Egyptian masters. So Pilat had a small garrison to keep the peace during a potential tinderbox situation. The last thing he needed was a King of the Jews and Messiah situation. His foreboding was realized 30 years later when there was a massive revolt in Palestine requiring extra Roman troops under Vespasian to crush. Jerusalem was burned down, the Temple looted and destroyed and thousands of Jews killed and enslaved. Pilat did the best he could with the hand he was dealt.
If you read the Bible and got this "feeling" about Pilate, then why could a later author not also get this "feeling", and concoct a fake letter to fill in the gaps that seemed plausible? Humans have been writing fiction for millennia. Thinking a letter sounds plausible isn't sufficient reason to believe it's true.

There is a artist with the name of Akiane, who painted Jesus on what the called a vision she had when she was 8 years old if memory serves correctly. Strangely she also painted him with golden blonde hair and green eyes. She has never heard of this letter to Tiberius Ceasar.

She lived in northern Idaho at the time she painted it. It is an interesting story. There is more to it, though.

May I ask? What does it matter what our Lord and Savior looked like? When I imagine Jesus, I always imagine Him with light eyes and golden hair and a loving yet disappointed expression. I would imagine that any other brother or sister Christian may imagine Him in a different manner or look. What does it matter? God will look as He sees fit, and it is His will, and only His, that matters. When I saw the face of God after my surgery, He was of Pure Light. He had shoulder-length hair and a short beard. His eyes were of Pure white flame. It was a flame that I did not fear. But a flame that I knew would cleanse me utterly and make me whole. Our God is a great God, and He can, and will, do as He sees fit. Did the Father not say "let Us make man in Our image"? Does man not come in all shapes, features, and colors? Would that not mean that God is whatever He deems Himself to be? I do not care what Jesus may have looked like. I care that our Father loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son. Praise be to God in the Highest! All Glory and Honor is Yours Lord! For without You, there is no Glory and no Honor! Amen and Deus Vult!

That is exactly why Pilate did not wish him to be crucified, because he was descended from David, and tberefore from the line of Judean Kings. When he discovered that Jesus had no earthly ambitions and was speaking of a Kingdom of heaven, this meant tbat he was innocent of causing any uprising against Rome, and Pilate could see that he was not arming a militia or attempting to depose the Pharasees. He must have been bewildered that they would murder their own Royal bloodline...why?
He was simply a bothersome thorn in their side, because he exposed the empty hollowness of their existence, and they needed to maintain their illusion of spiritual authority at any cost. But Pilate likely knew that Jesus lineage was indeed from the line of David through his mother Mary. The sign was posted as a message to the Pharasees really. He is essentially throwing them under tbe bus. "You have killed your King , the only known heir to the throne of your people.. the Judean Kings are dead"

Pilate may not have found anything in Jesus worthy of the death sentence, but he caved in to the demands of the Jews and released Jesus to be crucified at the hands of the Roman soldiers, however, it was the Jewish leaders that were ultimately responsible for Jesus' death. Even if Pilate had stood his ground against the Jews, Jesus was still going to be crucified as prophesy declared the Messiah would be. Jesus even mentioned, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." This refers to being impaled upon the cross, and raised into its upright position. John 12:32 KJV
