As an atheist, I have to say this was refreshingly balanced, unbiased and well-sourced. I grow tired of videos, articles and books that mock believers with non-stop atheistic dogma, as much as I do those that present atheists as immoral elitists and tout Jesus's divinity as objective fact.
I know that this has been already said a thousand times but it keeps being true: "Atheistic dogma" is a contraction in itself, I think. If I invented and truly believed in a figure, let's say my imaginary friend Charlie, it would be strange to call others acharlieists and accuse them of spreading acharlieist dogma, whenever they say "come on, there is no Charlie". Acharlyism is the default state. If Charlie exists, I must prove it. "Atheism" is a poisoned word, it tries to manipulate the mind by introducing backdoor that there is a god or gods.

Being a 'Born Again' Christian, I don't usually watch this kind of a video, but I found myself enjoying its unbiased presentation. It was very well done. Thank you. I have recently become friends with a Muslim and a Bahi and we sit for hours over coffee sharing our faith and respect for each other. For me, it's like the Apostle Paul saying, 'I am all things to all men, that I may win some.' After fifty years of loving Jesus and the word, my faith is on solid ground, but I have learned to listen; really listen to what others believe. Only then can I hope to earn their respect and have them listen to what true Christianity is all about.

The sixth century monk Dionysius Exiguus developed a calendar system for numbering the years based on the birth of Jesus thus the years are in Anno Domini (in the year of the Lord, A.D.). However, he counted backward wrong and his count of the years backward to the birth of Jesus was off several years. (Jesus was born between 7-8 BC and 4-5 BC, Before Christ). This year numbering system became standard around AD 800.

This channel is just amazing. Believer and non-believer people comment, and ALL in a respectful and open-minded way, which is SO rare when talking religion. I guess I am personnally still questioning the existence or not of a God and have no clear answer yet, but one reason why I stopped going to church a long time ago was (1 thing of many) the fact that I always felt that churches were teaching what was convenient for them, and were hiding/ ignoring many historical facts, or ancient writings...and so on and so forth. This channel has been eye opening. Always well narrated, and extremely well-documented, and does not lean one way or the other: just gives facts.
Unfortunately yeah, many churches avoid controversial topics because they don’t want to offend anyone or cause a difference in opinions to surface. Keep searching though, don’t give up.❤

I think its pretty evident when you do the reading that the old and new testaments don't really stand up ..... good stories but not historical ...... the old testament borrows from so many Egyptian texts and ancient stories and the new testament is just a mess ... especially the gospels. I'm agnostic, but I always have major respect for Christians who are into history and who aren't afraid to go out and find other information. I think that type of faith in God is truly a calling, a lot of Christians avoid history or other opinions for fear of it causing doubt, but youre not afraid of that because your faith is so deep. Just a small correction. There is no such thing as year 0. The "Christian"-based calendar begins with year 1. So it goes from 1 B.C. directly to 1 A.D.
I took a history of Christianity class in college and the first day of class the professor goes "yeah so we don't actually have a lot of evidence that Jesus ever existed." My very Catholic friend was shocked to say the least.
@@grayintheuk8021 a few Roman sources about early Christians. The main point is indirect. The Romans, even though they were initially very hostile to Christianity, never actually question the existense of Jesus and his crucifixion at the hand of Roman justice.

Christianity began as sun worship, the stories about Jesus are symbolic. He is just a personification of the sun, made into a god figure later on. The sun "dies" for 3 days on December 22nd, the winter solstice, when it stops its movement south, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th, when it resumes its movement north. In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be "born of a Virgin" The sun rising in the morning is "the saviour of mankind" The sun is "The light of the World" The sun "walks on water" is just the reflection of the sun on water/the sea. "He cometh on clouds, and every eye shall see him", is just sun rays. Jesus' "crown of thorns" is just the sun's glare, also know as a halo. The sun's "followers", "helpers" or "disciples" are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the zodiac or constellations, through which the sun must pass. The sun at 12 noon is in the house or temple of the "Most High": thus.."he" begins "his Father's work" at "age" 12. The sun enters into each sign of the zodiac at 30 degrees, hense, the "Sun of God" begins his ministry at "age" 30. The sun is hung on a cross or "crucified", which represents its passing through the equinoxes. The vernal equinox being Easter, at which time it is then resurrected. The reason why saviour myths are so similar with a godman who is crucified and resurrected, who does miracles and has 12 disciples, is that these stories were based on the movements of the sun through the heavens, an astrotheological development that can be found throughout the planet, because the sun and the 12 zodiac signs can be observed around the globe. In other words, Jesus Christ and all the others upon whom this character is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the Gospel fable is merely a rehash of a mythological formula revolving around the movements of the sun through the heavens. You could check out Nabil Qureshi. I believe he has a channel on youtube. His research about Christianity gives a lot of insight and you have room for further research.
Also why we can’t find remains or material or Jesus is because he’s in heaven. Every other god or prophet can be found and has a grave sight. I see only Christianity getting hate these days, but any other religion, I see nothing but ppl respecting it. That’s enough to tell you that God is real.
The psychedelic mushroom theory was first popularised by an English academic called John Allegro through his book The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross. It brought him both popular fame and notoriety, and also destroyed his career. He also worked on the dead Sea scrolls and was very important in popularising them as well as translating some of them, including the copper scroll. He's a really interesting guy.

Other so-called "dying-rising gods" are also associated with vegetation/herbs/drugs, such as the Ugaritic god Baal Hadad being resurrected as fruit; the Sumerian god Dumuzi and the cedar tree; the Egyptian god Osiris and the acacia tree, barley, and wheat; the Phoenician god Adonis and the anemone flower and red poppies (which in turn associate him with opium); the Phrygian god Attis and almonds and pomegranates; the Hittie god Telipinu and the oak tree; the Norse god Balder and the oak tree and mistletoe; the Greek god Dionysus and wine/grapes, pomegranates, and the pine tree; the Greek god Hyacinthus and the Hyacinth flower; the Roman mythology hero Pyramus and the mulberry tree; the Irish god Miach and "365 herbs". There is also the Slavic god Jarilo (although I'm not sure if he is associated with any particular herb or plant).
Whether he truly existed or not and whether you're religious or not, anyone can interpret Jesus as the symbol of salvation. To me, he was a revolutionary and a rebel who criticized and questioned the Roman law and other authorities for their savage and unequal treatment of the people, and got treated exactly how he portrayed these savages, by crucifying and making an "example" out of him for those who dared to question Roman/Jewish authority. And with that, he "saved" the people who followed him, he "liberated" them from their fears and lies fed by brutal imperialists. The reason why he remains a symbol to this day, is because we still need to put a stop to inequality, to wars and learn how to co-exist with each other and nature. We still need saving, by those who play "God" over us.

No serious historian - Christian or atheist - questions the existence of Jesus of Nazareth. In addition to all the biblical references to Jesus, he was written about by Clement of Rome, Ignatius of Antioch, Polycarp, Papias, Justin Martyr, Quadratus, and the writer of the Didache. Granted, these were all Christians, but Jesus was written about by non-Christians, too, including Josephus, Mara Bar-Serapion, Phlegon, Suetonius, Lucian of Samosata, Celsus, Pliny the Younger, and Tacitus. These were all writing about Jesus within 150 years of his death and resurrection, some within 50 years. The fact that none of them was writing about Jesus before his ascension is irrelevant. To dismiss the evidence of their writings, some of which were by Christianity's opponents, is to demand a standard of evidence that no genuine historian requires of any historical figure. The remarkable thing about the evidence for Jesus' existence is that there is so much of it for an otherwise obscure person whose public life spanned no more than 3½ years and who apparently spent all his adult life in an area encompassing less than 150sq.km (58.5sq.mi) in a poverty-stricken backwater of the first-century Roman empire. Richard Dawkins, in _The God Delusion,_ couldn't find a qualified historian who would deny Jesus’ existence, so he resorted to citing GA Wells, a professor of German (not history) at the University of London, to call Jesus’ existence into question. If Jesus didn't exust, it is remarkable that early Christianity's Jewish opponents expended so much effort in the Talmud to discredit someone whose existence they could simply have denied. Hm. Your opening statement sets the bar, I think. There are actually serious historians, with high degees, that do question the historisity of Jesus. And so they should. The truth is not within the sources, or the amount, but rather in disecting what the sources say, how they say it, when, and compared to each other. For instance; Clement writes about the risen Christ who died on a cross. But he has no knowledge of anything Jesus said or did during his ministry. Nothing. It’s like he never read Pauls epistles or had any knowledge of the gospels. So where does he know Jesus from? Josephus’ testemonium flavianum is really up for debate. The language, the writing style, the narrative structure - everything is off. There’s reason to question whether Josephus wrote any of it. If christians faked parts of it - why not all? Tacitus most likely have all his information from Pliny t.y., who got his information from christians. Look - trying to end the dicussion with «no serious historian» is counter-productive, at best. Read the research, study the models and argu the hypothesis. It may well be refuted - but on the basis of academics, not seriousness.

I also don't see a way of defending polygamy, and the Quran denying Jesus death, which is a point every other religion and even atheist agree on, makes me difficult to consider Islam a possibility of truth. As to the existence of Jesus, it seems that those who deny his existence entirely, claiming that he is simply a fabricated character no more "real" than Batman, have a much more difficult thesis to support than those who accept his existence regardless of how the meaning of his life might be defined. As to "who" he was, that shall forever remain a mystery just as the "true identity" of each of us is irreducibly mysterious and can never be captured by any set of beliefs.

Please continue to have these conversations because it’s healthy to make sense of historical figures and their validity.
This is not a scholarly debate about the existence or lack thereof of Jesus. There are plenty of scholars who point out that stories similar to Jesus and his purported life actually existed for hundreds of years before Jesus was alleged to have been born. Where are the historical references to show this much earlier history from which the "myth" of Jesus could well have evolved from.

If your first guess was the Titanic, I'm afraid you'd be wrong. I was referencing the Titan, the fictional ocean liner from Morgan Robertson's The Wreck of the Titan, written 14 years before the very real, historically tragic events of the RMS Titanic. Now imagine if people 2,000 years from now looked at both accounts and wrote off the Titanic as just another copy or rehash of the older, seemingly similar account of the Titan. This should give you an idea of how I view the "accounts of Jesus is a copy of (insert other mythical figure's name here)" or the Jesus Myth Theory in general.

There are tens of thousands of evidence based facts about the Titanic vs a fictional novel. Granted that thousands of years ago there is scant evidence or records left today to make such a similar comparison. But to be honest, I am personally just not enough of a biblical or ancient times scholar (nor willing to spend the time to become so) to really have much of an informed opinion or conviction one way or the other. What I do find interesting is the debate discussion, and viewpoints of those "experts" who do have considerable knowledge abut the biblical times questions.

Thanks for the great video with such a balanced and well-expounded narration. I am not a Christian myself and trained as a medical scientist. By my own reasoning would tell me Jesus is most likely a historical figure with great charisma and influence especially after his untimely passing since there have been tens and hundreds of writings and gospels written about this person, or his close relatives and disciples, or about his apocalyptic/prophetic records/teachings that make him as a central figure mushrooming within the 100-300 years. You just can't regard it as a random event. This rising literature and disciples who could even sacrifice themselves for this religion must be triggered by a special event centered on a person. More or less similar phenomena also occurred at the early formation of Buddhism after the passing of the Buddha, or of Islam after the death of the prophet Mohammad.

I think you can actually regard it as a random event that got extremly popular due to the circumstances. People at the time were either tired of believing what others forced them to or just saw christianity as a superior religion due to it being only 1 omnipotent god instead of multiple(simpler religion) and the stories surrounding it. It's safe to assume if it was today it would just be considered another cult that no one paid attention. Regarding the disciples who sacrificed themselves, you can also see that in those same cults nowadays. People will give away all they got and themselves to the cult churches with no central event to it.

It is possible they were inserted, but one would have expected a lot more ancient sources would have then been tampered with, and there be many more mentions of Jesus. The fact there are so few indicates that each of the authors did mention Jesus.

If he existed, Jesus would not have been known as "Christus" until some time after his supposed death. Christians were well-known by Tacitus's time. For an argument from absence, none of the critics of early Christianity made the argument that Jesus of Nazareth never existed. The flat statement that Christians were following a purely fictional character is apparently a much later claim, and not one made in antiquity.
The critics didn't need to make the claim that he didn't exist because he didn't. When the new testament was written it was backdated in order to make Jesus' prophecies appear to come true. People were worshipping a character who they believed had existed.

I believe one of the biggest issues that may arise here is that, clearly, the earliest recorded papers we are going to find are only going to be of Christian origin because those are the people who were closest and saw the most of the man's actions. On-top of this, who we can chose as trustworthy sources is very narrowed down by the decision to say Christian views are biased, because if Jesus _was_ the Messiah and _could_ do these actions, _anyone_ who saw him doing them would have, and _did,_ convert! That is a major part of his story, non-Christians being converted by his miracles. So the problem instantly arises: There is no unbiased source. There is either "I didn't see, I'm not a source at all", "I didn't see anything, but I hear this name alot, I just prove he was talked about", and "I saw, and I converted immediately, now I am biased and cannot be counted at all." By these categories, we see that only one can be considered, and it's the idea that he exists at all. Then again, that is the title of the video, and as we see through your well-written explanations we are pretty confident that he did! He was, with a small enough margin for doubt, a person on Earth. For context on my thought process, I myself am a Christian, but only because out of _all_ the Religions, I find Christianity to be rather fair and well thought-out when it comes to the Give and Take of the Religion and it's worship. On-top of that, my family has many... Miracles tied to it that cannot be explained logically or scientifically, despite said miracle-family raising me to be as logical as possible. I have not once been preached to, just gotten simple answers believed to be true when I have asked questions. This recipe makes a very (in my opinion) fascinating outside perspective! I trust Science wholeheartedly... But I trust that ALL Gods and Religions exist wholeheartedly... Because as I was raised, BOTH have made sense and both could very easily co-exist, like puzzle pieces that so neatly fit together. So when trying to consider "Did Jesus Exist?" "Did Jesus actually do these things?" "Was he the Messiah?" "Does Yahweh actually exist?" My answers can very easily boil down to... An unusual bias that... Sort of cancels itself out. In order; "Yes", "Maybe", "He was _Yahweh's_ Messiah! He was intended to be atleast!", "I don't know but I have seen far more evidence For than Against." And even then, all of my evidence For is very easily explained by calling my Mother a schizophrenic that _thinks_ she's translating the messages of gods and misses her wings. She's not a Christian, I just trust her word because I don't understand how my uncle can be permanently cured of his chronic gout in one night by my Mom's healing, or why she is able to be so clear and well-spoken in all of her conversation both in and out of Religion if she's crazy, nor do I understand how you can prevent _rain_ from _reaching a house._ (IT CUT OFF AT THE DRIVEWAY AND THERE'S NO TREES?!) This is not trying to preach to you or something, this is just the crazy shit I've seen so you can maybe understand why _I_ think the way _I_ do. As they say, "I'm not trying to Excuse what I did, I'm just trying to Explain _why_ I did it." In the end, whether I'm insane or not, or whether you're an Athiest, a Christian, or something else, I think as long as you aren't a fucking DICK to your fellow human, then we can all enjoy a great life on Earth and in wwwwhatever comes after. I think that it's _healthier_ for humans to have such a wide and diverse range of things they believe in because it vastly improves the uniqueness of our race and the stories we can share be they real or not. It doesn't matter if they are, that's why _Faith_ is a thing. I chose my beliefs based on the Security of the Deal I got. I wasn't religious prior. But it was reading through critical texts like these that led me to become a believer and embrace faith. Well, there's everything for everyone. I'm an agnostic atheist since 13 or so, i read mostly science, but i'm very interested in religion. I've read the whole bible (some books several times), the Nag-Hammadi library, the Dead sea scrolls, tons of patristics, tons of apocrypha, the Qur an, and much more... I'm currently reading the Mahabharat (11th section by now). Nothing in this vídeo is new to me. Yes, i've read Josephus' Opera Omnia and Tacitus, Suetonius... There is a God who cannot lie, and another god who is fathers all lies. Both are light. I know that this has been already said a thousand times but it keeps being true: "Atheistic dogma" is a contraction in itself, I think. Being a 'Born Again' Christian, I don't usually watch this kind of a video, but I found myself enjoying its unbiased presentation. It was very well done. Thank you. I have recently become friends with a Muslim and a Bahi and we sit for hours over coffee sharing our faith and respect for each other. The sixth century monk Dionysius Exiguus developed a calendar system for numbering the years based on the birth of Jesus thus the years are in Anno Domini (in the year of the Lord, A.D.). However, he counted backward wrong and his count of the years backward to the birth of Jesus was off several years. (Jesus was born between 7-8 BC and 4-5 BC, Before Christ). This year numbering system became standard around AD 800.

This channel is just amazing. Believer and non-believer people comment, and ALL in a respectful and open-minded way, which is SO rare when talking religion.
I guess I am personnally still questioning the existence or not of a God and have no clear answer yet, but one reason why I stopped going to church a long time ago was (1 thing of many) the fact that I always felt that churches were teaching what was convenient for them, and were hiding/ ignoring many historical facts, or ancient writings...and so on and so forth.
This channel has been eye opening. Always well narrated, and extremely well-documented, and does not lean one way or the other: just gives facts.
Unfortunately yeah, many churches avoid controversial topics because they don’t want to offend anyone or cause a difference in opinions to surface. Keep searching though, don’t give up.❤

I'm agnostic, but I always have major respect for Christians who are into history and who aren't afraid to go out and find other information. I think that type of faith in God is truly a calling, a lot of Christians avoid history or other opinions for fear of it causing doubt, but youre not afraid of that because your faith is so deep. Just a small correction. There is no such thing as year 0. The "Christian"-based calendar begins with year 1. So it goes from 1 B.C. directly to 1 A.D.
I took a history of Christianity class in college and the first day of class the professor goes "yeah so we don't actually have a lot of evidence that Jesus ever existed." My very Catholic friend was shocked to say the least.

Christianity began as sun worship, the stories about Jesus are symbolic.
He is just a personification of the sun, made into a god figure later on.
The sun "dies" for 3 days on December 22nd, the winter solstice, when it stops its movement south, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th, when it resumes its movement north.
In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be "born of a Virgin"
The sun rising in the morning is "the saviour of mankind"

The vernal equinox being Easter, at which time it is then resurrected.
The reason why saviour myths are so similar with a godman who is crucified and resurrected, who does miracles and has 12 disciples, is that these stories were based on the movements of the sun through the heavens, an astrotheological development that can be found throughout the planet, because the sun and the 12 zodiac signs can be observed around the globe.
In other words, Jesus Christ and all the others upon whom this character is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the Gospel fable is merely a rehash of a mythological formula revolving around the movements of the sun through the heavens.
Jesus is a fictional allegory for the sun. Christianity is ancient astrology. It's just fables about the sun.

Whether he truly existed or not and whether you're religious or not, anyone can interpret Jesus as the symbol of salvation. To me, he was a revolutionary and a rebel who criticized and questioned the Roman law and other authorities for their savage and unequal treatment of the people, and got treated exactly how he portrayed these savages, by crucifying and making an "example" out of him for those who dared to question Roman/Jewish authority. And with that, he "saved" the people who followed him, he "liberated" them from their fears and lies fed by brutal imperialists.
The reason why he remains a symbol to this day, is because we still need to put a stop to inequality, to wars and learn how to co-exist with each other and nature. We still need saving, by those who play "God" over us.

Hm. Your opening statement sets the bar, I think. There are actually serious historians, with high degees, that do question the historisity of Jesus. And so they should.
The truth is not within the sources, or the amount, but rather in disecting what the sources say, how they say it, when, and compared to each other. For instance; Clement writes about the risen Christ who died on a cross. But he has no knowledge of anything Jesus said or did during his ministry. Nothing. It’s like he never read Pauls epistles or had any knowledge of the gospels. So where does he know Jesus from?
Josephus’ testemonium flavianum is really up for debate. The language, the writing style, the narrative structure - everything is off. There’s reason to question whether Josephus wrote any of it. If christians faked parts of it - why not all?
Tacitus most likely have all his information from Pliny t.y., who got his information from christians.
Look - trying to end the dicussion with «no serious historian» is counter-productive, at best. Read the research, study the models and argu the hypothesis. It may well be refuted - but on the basis of academics, not seriousness.

However I don't understand the context of Muhammad the prophet, the Messiah was announced centuries before Jesus was born, but Muhammad came out of nowhere without announcements in a very convenient way. I also don't see a way of defending polygamy, and the Quran denying Jesus death, which is a point every other religion and even atheist agree on, makes me difficult to consider Islam a possibility of truth. One big problem with the josephus testimony if one part was alter who's to say the whole thing was not altered. It's a easy thing to replace one man's name with another or to imply one man is related to another. Tempered with evidence will always be suspect.

Please continue to have these conversations because it’s healthy to make sense of historical figures and their validity.
This is not a scholarly debate about the existence or lack thereof of Jesus. There are plenty of scholars who point out that stories similar to Jesus and his purported life actually existed for hundreds of years before Jesus was alleged to have been born. Where are the historical references to show this much earlier history from which the "myth" of Jesus could well have evolved from.

By my own reasoning would tell me Jesus is most likely a historical figure with great charisma and influence especially after his untimely passing since there have been tens and hundreds of writings and gospels written about this person, or his close relatives and disciples, or about his apocalyptic/prophetic records/teachings that make him as a central figure mushrooming within the 100-300 years. You just can't regard it as a random event. This rising literature and disciples who could even sacrifice themselves for this religion must be triggered by a special event centered on a person. More or less similar phenomena also occurred at the early formation of Buddhism after the passing of the Buddha, or of Islam after the death of the prophet Mohammad.

I think you can actually regard it as a random event that got extremly popular due to the circumstances. People at the time were either tired of believing what others forced them to or just saw christianity as a superior religion due to it being only 1 omnipotent god instead of multiple(simpler religion) and the stories surrounding it. It's safe to assume if it was today it would just be considered another cult that no one paid attention. Regarding the disciples who sacrificed themselves, you can also see that in those same cults nowadays. People will give away all they got and themselves to the cult churches with no central event to it.

I believe one of the biggest issues that may arise here is that, clearly, the earliest recorded papers we are going to find are only going to be of Christian origin because those are the people who were closest and saw the most of the man's actions. On-top of this, who we can chose as trustworthy sources is very narrowed down by the decision to say Christian views are biased, because if Jesus _was_ the Messiah and _could_ do these actions, _anyone_ who saw him doing them would have, and _did,_ convert! That is a major part of his story, non-Christians being converted by his miracles. So the problem instantly arises: There is no unbiased source. There is either "I didn't see, I'm not a source at all", "I didn't see anything, but I hear this name alot, I just prove he was talked about", and "I saw, and I converted immediately, now I am biased and cannot be counted at all." By these categories, we see that only one can be considered, and it's the idea that he exists at all. Then again, that is the title of the video, and as we see through your well-written explanations we are pretty confident that he did! He was, with a small enough margin for doubt, a person on Earth.
For context on my thought process, I myself am a Christian, but only because out of _all_ the Religions, I find Christianity to be rather fair and well thought-out when it comes to the Give and Take of the Religion and it's worship. On-top of that, my family has many... Miracles tied to it that cannot be explained logically or scientifically, despite said miracle-family raising me to be as logical as possible. I have not once been preached to, just gotten simple answers believed to be true when I have asked questions. This recipe makes a very (in my opinion) fascinating outside perspective! I trust Science wholeheartedly... But I trust that ALL Gods and Religions exist wholeheartedly... Because as I was raised, BOTH have made sense and both could very easily co-exist, like puzzle pieces that so neatly fit together. So when trying to consider "Did Jesus Exist?" "Did Jesus actually do these things?" "Was he the Messiah?" "Does Yahweh actually exist?" My answers can very easily boil down to... An unusual bias that... Sort of cancels itself out. In order; "Yes", "Maybe", "He was _Yahweh's_ Messiah! He was intended to be atleast!", "I don't know but I have seen far more evidence For than Against." And even then, all of my evidence For is very easily explained by calling my Mother a schizophrenic that _thinks_ she's translating the messages of gods and misses her wings. She's not a Christian, I just trust her word because I don't understand how my uncle can be permanently cured of his chronic gout in one night by my Mom's healing, or why she is able to be so clear and well-spoken in all of her conversation both in and out of Religion if she's crazy, nor do I understand how you can prevent _rain_ from _reaching a house._ (IT CUT OFF AT THE DRIVEWAY AND THERE'S NO TREES?!) This is not trying to preach to you or something, this is just the crazy shit I've seen so you can maybe understand why _I_ think the way _I_ do. As they say, "I'm not trying to Excuse what I did, I'm just trying to Explain _why_ I did it."
In the end, whether I'm insane or not, or whether you're an Athiest, a Christian, or something else, I think as long as you aren't a fucking DICK to your fellow human, then we can all enjoy a great life on Earth and in wwwwhatever comes after. I think that it's _healthier_ for humans to have such a wide and diverse range of things they believe in because it vastly improves the uniqueness of our race and the stories we can share be they real or not. It doesn't matter if they are, that's why _Faith_ is a thing. I chose my beliefs based on the Security of the Deal I got. I wasn't religious prior. But it was reading through critical texts like these that led me to become a believer and embrace faith. Some nonbelievers end up as believers such as me, while I've got believing friends which ended up more agnostic, or nonbelievers becoming more nonreligious. It is compelling, I can tell you all that.
Well, there's everything for everyone. I'm an agnostic atheist since 13 or so, i read mostly science, but i'm very interested in religion. I've read the whole bible (some books several times), the Nag-Hammadi library, the Dead sea scrolls, tons of patristics, tons of apocrypha, the Qur an, and much more... I'm currently reading the Mahabharat (11th section by now). Nothing in this vídeo is new to me. Yes, i've read Josephus' Opera Omnia and Tacitus, Suetonius... How do you know which words are from God and which are from the deceiver, Lucifer/Satan, the angel of light? If light can deceive you, how do you discern God? There is a God who cannot lie, and another god who is fathers all lies. Both are light. How then do you distinguish the True and Greater Light which rules the Day from the Lesser light which rules the night?

So whoever hopes for the meeting with their Lord, let them do good deeds and associate none in the worship of their Lord.”
@@ukleth Thank you for your reply. The difference is Jesus and Peter and Paul, Apostles of the One God, had miraculous signs of healing and other miracles confirming they were sent by God. And men tried to worship them, but they said "Do not worship us". Now Muhammed has no miracles. If the One God is Inside Muhammed, like He is inside Jesus, Peter, and Paul, and all the Holy Prophets and Apostles, then why does Muhammed have no signs God is inside Him working? The One True God is INSIDE all His Holy Prophets and Apostles.

The main proof that most muslim belive in mohamed not the magic miracle he perform , but a book that have 114 chapter that no human in earth could write it from his mind .
