Trust the process
That’s exactly what art is: random splotches of color that fool the eye. That’s also what life is….random lights and darks pushed together. Our brain processes it all into a cohesive picture. Just like it does with the blotches of light and dark color. Realism is essentially just a very patient process of recreating the light and dark blotches faithfully. The real art is making something that never existed before using the things you learn in realism. And breaking the “rules” of realism…which means essentially playing with the illusion.
As a digital artist myself there is no words to express how much respect I have for traditional artist and especially one as skilled as this. The amount of time,work and layering that’s goes into this must be insane. Beautiful work and a true master of their craft
Exacly! Now this is how one of many talented artist's skills looks like, not just a fake talentless "artists" using AI GENERATED ART and fool people by telling they draw it themself, what a bunch of losers

@@elgatocasanovafumadordeeuc5382 1st of all I didn’t compare the 2…..obviously ur not an artist with that comment. I’ve started out as a traditional artist for years b4 I switched to digital and they are both difficult in their own way. At the end of the day a digital tablet is jus another tool like a paint brush and it all comes down to the artist experience and knowledge of the subject they are drawing.

I watched it from beginning to end. Focused as best as I can and I still don’t understand how this is humanly possible. This is just beyond words.
To put it into perspective, this is 38 hours of work compressed down into 11 minutes. The level of detail is still insane, but I am not at all surprised that by the time it took to complete it.

The look in Kratos' eyes long for a peace he knows he will never have. The quiet rage he is able to portray with just a look is relatable in some ways. Great artwork!

The amount of patience and time that went into this work of art is what's really impressive to me. I can't finish a 2 hr drawing session, this must have taken 15 plus hrs to complete. Awesome job
15 hours doesn't seem like long to get an artwork. In the caption he says 38 hours which seems reasonable, 5 and a half hours a day and you would be almost done in a week.
It's unbearably wonderful! You can watch it endlessly. The artist has great respect and admiration for his talent.
The level of detail in this is amazing but what I am most impressed by is that the artist didn't do a rough sketch they just started drawing and layering the colors right then and there truly mind boggling talent I'm subscribing ASAP instant fan here

Well that is because it pretty much is the source image. He traced the source image on PC (so theres pretty much no drawing included). Printed it on a stencil. Aplied the stencil onto the paper (you can see that in the video). And then colored it in. That said he is really good at coloring it in.
