2024 who's here??Reminds me of the year 2006 when my Mom was working in another town and my Dad would play this masterpiece and I would break in tears not knowing why but now I'm listening to it with both my parents staying together and I'm alone in another town at this lonely hour remembering those years...Setswana se monate mahn😍🙌🏻
Man, what a beautiful beautiful song. I don't know why I get emotional when I listen to it, I guess it just reminds me of the good old days, when life was still nice, pure and simple.
Yes life was once simple. Love was everywhere. When a man loved a lady he would unashamedly approach her and freely express his love. If he was afraid of her he would send a letter to her through her friend. The friend would receive all good things from the man in an attempt to persuade her to talk favourably about him to the lady. The man would put on his best clothes whenever there was a chance that he would cross paths with the lady. During those times when you were well behaved everyone would wish you get a good, faithful and well behaved spouse. Your friends (ladies and men inclusive) when they see someone who is as well behaved as you they would go to the extent of telling her about you and how much they wish you get married to him or her. They would arrange a meeting for both of you. The result was almost always a happy marriage. Nowadays you are well behaved no one cares. No one to protects you from falling into the hands of horribly dishonest people I miss those days 😔
May his soul rest in eternal grace, prior to that your work will forever be remembered, mostly you were the pioneer in the protest theater, the two plays that wrote Asinamali& Sarafina will be a constant reminder of what was is like to be a black person, in the height of Apartheid that black endured in the hands of Apartheid Regime. RIP Mr. M Ngema💔💔💔
Takes me back to my teaching practice year when a good friend of mine, Emmanuel Mujuru, a musician in his own right, used to play this song. Hamba kahle Baba Ngema.
