Would have been amazing to see this type of footage back in the Pantera days. RIP Vin

Gotta love it... surrounded by floor toms on a rack with upside down sticks... the embodiment of thunder behind a drumset. My musical hero R.I.P Vin.

He carved grips in them too so he could get a better hold.

thems are good old standard size toms back in the day. Sadly since the late 90's little baby size toms became more the standard

Question, did the sound guy crank them up way too loud like always? Loved Hellyeah but every time i saw them live it was unlistenable because their sound guy had no clue what he was doing apparently.

Hell yeah needed to fire whomever did their sound. Every time i saw them live them they had all the levels cranked way too loud to the point of being overdriven and you could barely hear anyone over vinnies kick drums. Seriously, it was awful, and the smaller the venue the louder the cranked them as if to say “fuck you” to anyone within 5 miles trying to not go completely deaf. I love loud music and played in a metal band for 10 years but if it physically hurts MY ears from 50 feet then it is too loud.

It doesnt matter now since the band is long gone, but I agree...saw them at BFD Dallas. I was also in a few bands (alt rock, not metal) and understand it's sometimes hard to get the mix right no matter who's doing it, but HellYeah could afford to get a good sound guy..instead they hired someone who was apparently deaf and cranked it until he could feel it.
