there's also O The Joy, which was a Sac town band Kurt was only in for one album, but they're not too well-known and their sound on the album Kurt was on was more psychedelic/trippy than the Swancore stuff

The alternate universe of "It found a different path" being strawberry swisher pt4 lives strongly inside of me. Also the fact that we share the same favorite DGD song makes me believe you have nothing less than excellent taste.

Happiness was my first DGD album and is still one of my faves by them. This album might be the closest that we get to a Happiness 2.
Happiness brings back such a nostalgia for me... and it's weird, now any time I hear Kurt, I get so damn in my feels man. He makes me nostalgic for something that doesn't exist! How does he do it 😂
This album was better than jackpot In my opinion. Royal coda sounds so good live too.
This was why I had to listen to it! A lot of peeps commented this on my Jackpot Juicer video as well. I will say, the vibes were very different but I enjoyed them both so much. We eating good this year thanks to Swan Records 🥹😭

Kurt's become such a phenomenal musician over the years, he's probably tied as my favourite with Joey Vannuchi (though he's not Swancore lol); I don't think he's ever made or has been part of a side project that hasn't immensely slapped. Would highly recommend Gold Necklace as one of your next listens, it's a groovy jazz-funk project he did with Joseph Arrington (who drums for Royal Coda, as well as A Lot Like Birds) and Brandon Ewing (who was a guitarist for Chon and also worked with him on Eternity Forever, which was basically GN's inception).

TRULY! I wasn't expecting them to smack my life like this man... I really wasn't 😭
I too suffered with migraines for 17 years. 4 concussions did some damage. I tried everything (medications, cutting out meat, cutting out sugars, cutting out chocolate, drinking insane amounts of water, exercise, etc.) and nothing helped.
I got a new doctor and he started me on amitriptyline.
I went over 7 months without a migraine for the first time since I was 14. Felt amazing.
I hope anyone suffering with the absolute hell that is frequent migraines can eventually find their solution.
You can't properly rock out to all this sweet Swancore with a migraine. 🤘
Oh man. So you understand the struggle. I've dealt with them for over 15 years myself. Unfortunately for me, mine are hormonal and do as they please. I have seen every doctor and tried everything as well. Hopefully one day we'll find something that works 100% lol but I even had to stop streaming regularly because of it. Couldn't keep a schedule lmfao

Loved the clear re-invented sound these guys threw down on this one. The instrumentation on several parts of the album brought me back to that ambient gloom of the first two Circa Survive albums. I'm a sucker for dual guitars wandering off on their own panned to each ear. 😤👌
And it's hilarious how everyone's reaction to Kurt's vocals (male, or female) is usually: "Ohhhhh Kurt~..." 😂
Ooh that's a great comparison. I love Circa Survive, and they definitely had some stuff on here reminiscent of them. Juturna specifically.
100% get the Circa vibes! It's one of the reasons I like this album so much! One of the ones I went out of my way to buy just to have it on everything I own
At first I though the final song was my least favorite, but after a good amount of listens, it’s definitely top 3. Maybe even #1
It's so crazy to me how much great music there is. I've always knew about this band but never really sit down and listened. Thank you for making this video because there's some real bops in this album 👌. If you want to check out something a bit different, I've been completely infatuated with sammy rae and friends. They just released a new song called If It All Goes South and I can't stop listening to it. If you check them out and fall in love to let me know.

Well, that's not a surprise considering this band is instrumentally basically Sianvar. There's even "Don't Stay Long" featuring Donovan Melero (Hail The Sun and Sianvar) which intentionally basically a Sianvar track.

People need to stop saying this - I don't like DGD, I'm only interested in the "side projects" like Eidola and Royal Coda. Kurt's been out of DGD for WAY longer than he was in it. And DGD's music is more misses than hits for me, I really prefer Hail The Sun.
