We are glad to be back after a 2 month hiatus due to you know what. What the heck have you all been doing? Let us know in the comments below! Stew, Zaya, Leo and Ariun
It's great to see you back on TH-cam! I was wondering where you've been. The Litzenbergers ("Sailing with the Litzenbergers") on board S/V Tarka were also stuck in Belize, but recently left and sailed directly to Key Largo, Florida. They felt things were getting too restrictive in Belize and they needed to get out while they could. Since you asked what "we" have been up to: I have recently started a new TH-cam channel called "Shoestring Shipyard." I've been populating the new channel with all my boat building and related videos. Stew was right when he commented how my Downeast Thunder Creations was an eclectic mix of subjects, and my sailboat construction videos were getting lost there. In the meantime, the weather has finally moderated here in Downeast Maine, USA - so I can now resume construction on my new sailboat hull. I'm looking forward to your next video and once again - it's good to see you back again!
Yes, Belize did close its border for EXITS for a while which I don't really understand, so they must have timed it well to get the zarpe (clearance from port of last entry) that Florida would want to see. Good to hear you've been keeping busy! Stew
I always keep a couple of large garden garbage bags (green ones) I filled them with water from a bucket to shift the weight aft to get know unstuck in the sand. Worked pretty good. Got my bow up and then I dumped the water and folded up the bag back in business.
I was watching them stuck in the mud and wondered if they would think to shift/remove weight and push from the dock rather than push from the boat. Good to see they realized that. :-)
Great to have you guys back. That little 'un is rapidly becoming a big 'un. Must be all that healthy sea air. Cheers from NZ where we've finally been released from house arrest.
What's the saying "If you havnt run aground , your waiting to" Great to see you back on the briny with the family . Im boatless now (got that naked feeling) but will be looking for another soon , Think it might be a buyers market within the next few months when this shambles hits home . Your in the right place , Dont really like the way things are heading - Fair winds my friend .
I hear you Bill - re the buyers market.. well that remains to be seen particularly wrt the charter industry and how quickly that recovers. It accounts for something like 90% of new catamaran sales. And then you hear that Boeing is back in production on its 767. Its so hard to predict things when nothing makes sense. Cheers! Stew
Missed you guys loads, crazy old world eh?? Congratulations Tim you're a chap of some taste! Nice chops on the recorder too! Hope you enjoyed / are enjoying your time aboard. Skipper Stew, pls get Luckyfish off the bottom and show Tim a good time!!! ( sorry lol!!!)
Aye m8’s, Wow this is a really top episode, from a lot of aspects! You just made me totally envious and longing to come back to Luckyfish. Breathing deep…
Hey scott yes, we did give that a shot but the secondary anchor just pulled clean through that silt. Longer scope might have helped but by then we were trying other ideas!
Careening. Run a rope over the top halyard and pull the stuck side of the hull higher. If necessary, run the rope under the boat to a pylon on the stuck side. "lean" the boat away from the stuck side, then power out of the mud. Ariun is beautiful - HOW YOU DO-IN. @15:57 shame on you using single use "disposable" diapers which may never degrade in a landfill. A common handkerchief can be used and washed in the ocean, and re-used. I have no problem "leashing in" a toddler, or for that matter a stupid adult. Stay well, and don't believe everything the "news" tells you.
@@SailingLuckyfish 6, if you count the Chinese. But then it may be only 3 if you count the Chinese. Oh wait; Oceania, Eastasia, and Eurasia. Funny how correct Orwell had it in 1949. You know what? I should write a book. hahahaha

Sailing is a life of adventure..... And some times you find it.
Aye m8’s, Wow this is a really top episode, from a lot of aspects! You just made me totally envious and longing to come back to Luckyfish. Breathing deep…
Did you try taking an anchor out to the channel/deeper water & using your windlass to haul you off Stew? Stronger than man with pole :-).
Hey scott yes, we did give that a shot but the secondary anchor just pulled clean through that silt. Longer scope might have helped but by then we were trying other ideas!
They are alive!!!
I was surprised you did not use those wenches to get unstuck...I mean winches...doh, that was a close one. :P
Welcome back
Thanks for the awesome video ,stay safe !
Thanks, you too!
That seemed like the most unlucky you have been so far. No one hurt still sailing couldn’t have been that bad.

Riding on anchor in self-isolation off Belize for 7 weeks. Thanks and we're glad to be back!
From NZ. Welcome back. Glad to see you safe.
There are two kinds of sailors those that have run aground a d those that are going to run aground so don't sweat it

The news is owned by 5 corporations. Diapers are the least of our problems.
