Water slapping on the hull sounds - you are on a boat, that's part of boat life, I actually enjoy that sound, especially under sail, but at anchor as well.
Even though it might seem frustrating being in lockdown you are having brilliant quality time with Leo, so treasure this time.

Hey Stew, relay is fine. You either have a bad ground or some corrosion inside the starter. Happens when sitting a long time. My guess without being there is check all grounds. Look up a starter drop test, break out a multimeter and check your voltage drops throughout the starting system.
You're spot on Robert, corrosion in the starter. Removal and a good squirt of WD40 freed it up. I think both starters are due for a strip down. Thanks for the tip on the drop test, will do! Cheers

People complained about hearing the water slap the hull? Good Lord! As we say in Louisiana, "Some people wouldn't be happy if you hung them with a new rope." Forget about them. Make the videos inside the cabin as well. There's lots of us who are very interested in seeing how and what you cook, how and where you sleep, and a general sense of what boat life is.

How has the wind generator at the top of the mast been working out? Issues?
all good. will be doing some changes to it when we drop the mast next... to try to reduce the hum.. .although everyone who comes on board say it doesnt bother them... but we can improve it thanks to all the great suggestions we have received from the faculty here at TH-cam university! Stay tuned
Stew why didn't you set a stern anchor and avoid the swing. Especially for a long-term anchorage. Family looks great.
good suggestion of course... maybe a bahamanian style anchor would have worked. Stern anchors are fine but its best to let everyone swing together in a tight anchorage like that. other issue is, you have to buoy them because no-one knows its there.. which can lead to getting dragged down on (a story for another day!)

Leo is old enough to be water proofed, to learn that he will not sink and enjoy playing with the adults in water. Shallow water for Leo to play in and when playing with adults, water over his depth. Jumping forward in water to get a ball in shallow water and soon he is surfing to the ball. Things like throwing him from dad to mum, allowing him to dive under and then as he comes up catching him. Soon he will dog paddle to close the distance. Poking faces at each other under water. Picking up toys or items under water requiring leo to put his head in the water. Losing one’s fear of the water helps children learn to swim.Research how children learn to swim. Watching his parents swim is better then all the lectures. Children learn so much just by copying.
Yes Bob, fully agree and some great suggestions there too, thank you! we have him to the stage where his reflex is to hold breath when dunking him - a great start to drown proofing him. Blowing bubbles is right off the list in the "latest" baby swim education... that is not the reflex you want if he falls in. It's alot of fun seeing his water confidence grow bit by bit. Stew, even though you guys are in quarantine, there's still always something to do onboard a boat, eh? Must be nice to have the time to get some boat projects done in an exotic location! Zaya, so people were complaining about the noise down below, caused by the water lapping on the hull? Some people will complain about anything! My hull is insulated so there's not much noise but I've been on other boats where that's not the case but it didn't bother me. Why it would bother viewers is beyond me! Stew, what kind of drone do you have and where did you get the filters for the camera? I was going to buy one for use on my sailboat but have been busy doing work on the mast (unstepped it 2 weeks ago due to some damage during a race and to fix some known issues), so I've been too busy to actually order the drone!
