    In this video I go through the whole process of taking an iPad apart without breaking the factory glass, removing the logic board, finding the issue - which in this particular case was a short circuit caused by a capacitor that had failed. Removing the short, explaining continueity mode and how it can be useful for us to help problem solve faults like this, and testing of course! We get the W - I hope you guys enjoy!

    Love your attitude! Great words of wisdom on the end there about not making it hard on yourself or other techs that have to deal with it again down the road! I've been blessed by other techs with a half a pound of glue on batteries and screens, so that's always on my mind when i'm sealing things up.

    So, you don’t have to replace the cap? Why is that?

      Was going to ask the same thing!

      same

      @maxjhawker  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      There are various reasons why, but essentially caps don’t always need to be replaced, the circuit isn’t on a knives edge - they are built with some redundancy in place

      The thing is, I’m not actually overly keen on the repairs it’s self, like I am, but it’s the same way I like movies though don’t wanna talk about rates reviews etc, I’m a nerd but not full nerd? Does that make sense? Hard to explain hhaha
