Hey, you should listen to your daughter "maybe the battery's low" how adorable she is.
Your thermal cam is a must have in the arsenals of a tech repair guy. I saw other guy injecting power and start touch and feel with his ten digits, and tongue 😛 around which takes time and not efficient.
Your daughter is adorable, she looks like a similar age to my eldest - great job as always!
I had to subscribe, Normally just watch these. But when a little child is so adorable to say "Subscribe"
after giving her dad advice on "Its likely flat battery". By time she's 16 she will be working on devices herself 100%. Little prodigy there.
@@BlRaidX yes. I also do component level repair as much as I can (I don't have all of these tools) since I am 13 years old. My family doesn't know anything about electronics or computers though!

Most of the people for brand stores don’t know anything about technical troubleshooting so their default option is “it will never work again” or “would you like another one?” Not surprised it worked after you isolated the short. Excellent work!!!!
Reminded of the lawsuits on the right to repare where spokespeople were claiming that not apple licensed technicians don't have the means to repair their stuff. Kind of a mind boggling that such predatory companies are the ones at the top.

Man I was wanting so bad for the battery to be low when you attempting to power the device after the repair.....lol.....nice video and brilliant apprentice in the making.
Nice job using thermal camera! I was wondering if one would work good for small components! The place I used to work at used thermal cameras to find any “hot spots” on 480V 3 phase MCCs (breakers)... some up to 1200A! When those heat up enough/are loose enough, they don’t do little pits/arcs...THEY LITERALLY BLOW UP! Had a arc/short due to failed insulation on a huge connector for the 850kW generator blast a small jet of plasma through steel panel which my heart was 3” from not 5 seconds before it happened! God said “not today!” ... Got 3 boys from 9 to 16 in age, and a 12 yr old daughter! ♥️cherish EVERY moment with your beautiful, precious little girl!♥️. For they do not stay little for very long, although they melt their daddy’s hearts forever! ♥️

I have and old hard drive for iphone 6 it was originally loop booting I replace it and kept the original hard with out erase it , so can you be able to extract the data from it as you deal with it as flash drive ship?

Do you use voltage injection with thermo cam to check for hard to find shorted components?.
Just out of curiosity. When you’re troubleshooting a device you’ve never seen before what documentation do you use to know the normal values you’re confident about, (e.g 0 to 0.1 amps when the battery is disconnected)?
Or do you generally learn this kind of information by testing a known good specimen?
