Question Of The Day ⚡ What kind of photography do you do? Portraits? Street? Landscape? Let us know! 👇 ******* WATCH THIS VIDEO NEXT 📣 7 Tips and Tricks for shooting better video with the Canon M50 👉 th-cam.com/video/aB0TlsnkY6E/w-d-xo.html
Think Media I’m still loving my Canon 80D Might go to the DSLR for my events that I go to before I had a Sony HX350 point-and-shoot that was my first camera I’m not gonna lie but it was a good camera at the time but it broke So I upgraded to the canon 80D Because I have been doing photography for a very long time and I wanted to treat myself to a professional camera Which is my canon 80D I love it
Think Media What is the best lens I can use for TH-cam videos or maybe tech reviewing and can you use a speed buster and an adapter in front of your lens or just one or the other? One more thing, the filters on the end of the lenses should I buy those?
I went to photography school, (New York Institute of Photography), in the late 80's. Most of what I learned is still unbelievably relevant. I just got my M50 yesterday with 2 lenses. I can see I'm gonna have to spend more money. Lenses, filters, etc. I bought the M50 so I could record music videos of some of my original songs. I also just acquired a USB Audio interface. I'm almost 65 yrs old, so the hardest part is going to be learning how to use all these digital devices and software. It can be frustrating, but "onward through the fog"! THANKS for the videos!
I really appreciate how you prioritized the tips for those of us who are relative newcomers to photography in manual mode. There are many M50 tips out there, but knowing what is important and what can be deferred to a more advanced is often difficult to discern. I have already incorporated these tips into taking pictures, so thanks. One of my next learning adventures is deciding on what post-processing software to use and figuring out how to use it without getting lost in the many details and settings. Another topic I know I will have to deal with at some point is, how to properly adjust white balance when shooting on the M50, how to calibrate colors, and how to adjust colors during post-processing.
I have had my M50 for over a year and chose to take pics on my phone because I didn't know how to use it! I took some pics over the weekend and I was in love (even w normal settings, using a 50mm w the adapter). Now I want to really learn how to use this camera because it beats phone photos any day! Thanks for the tips! can't wait to become a pro M50 user!
Totally agree! It’s a beginners camera for photo and video. This is my first camera and still is. But after doing a few jobs and working in a production house. I realise the limitations of the camera. But if you’re just doing vlogs and etc, it’s an excellent camera!
Got the M50 2 weeks ago and as a beginner content creator it has taken my video quality to the next level! 😱 Went for a game drive yesterday and it took the most amazing photos of elephants and other wild life! Thank you for suggesting this camera Think Media! It has inspired me to keep it up, as does your channel!
Thank you for all of this information! This is my first camera I have owned and bought for myself instead of renting and borrowing from friends. I love taking portrait style and themed shoots either holiday or just artistic ideas that I or my friends have!
Tutorials like this are great fro me. I am starting from almost zero with the tech products and what they can do. I appreciate that you talk without much industry slang that leaves me in the dark about what is supposedly being conveyed. Landscapes are my favorite, but I like trying to video and photo almost anything. Thx PETE aka Wildside Clyde
I’m extremely interested in doing Astro photography. Something about the stars is just so appealing to me. The universe is so vast and unexplored, so to be able to catch even just a glimpse into that beauty is just so amazing and inspiring to me.
Had my M 50 For a while, but got so much more from your video than from any other source. Thank you…I’ll be looking at the series that you mentioned. Great video!
@@jv8studios Thanks! I really like it. I'm not real tech savvy, but with the tutorials that Sean and others have out there, I've figured it out for my needs.
Thank you!!! I returned my SX740 not knowing anything about cameras and purchased a M50. I luv taking pictures of my kiddos and was told the M50 was pretty good for photography purposes. However again not knowing anything about cameras I can learn alot from your playlist on M50. You have made my day. Thnx you!!!
Been Blogging with the M50 for over 2 years. Never done photography with it but now im stating to get interested and this is the 1st tutorial video I've watched on photography. Really helpful. thank you.
I fucking love about this, the examples, explanation, simplicity. I’m sold. Do not depend on post processing, learn the basics, lighting, positioning so you don’t have to half ass posts
Thank you so much for this video it has been a huge help. First time camera user here and I’m looking forward to watching the series that you were referencing in the video. I am a hairstylist and plan on using my m50 for portrait style shots of hair, and some vlogging/Instagram reels. I chose this camera because I literally know nothing 😅 and all of my resources pointed me in this direction as a begginer. I look forward to more videos from you and the rest of the think media team🎉
Just bought an M50 and am a novice with camera. It came with a Vivitar Wide Angle and Vivitar Telephoto attachment. My plan is to document an upcoming RV trip around some of the USA. This will include landscape photos and video. Yes I have a tripod also and some filters (UV, CPL, FLD). A lot to learn in 4 weeks :-) Thank you for all the help in your videos.
I have had mine for months. I decided to watch one more video on TH-cam this past Sunday before returning it and getting the g7x instead. I decided to keep it afterwards. It's initially a bit intimidating for beginners, lol.
I don’t even have my camera yet but this video made me more excited for it to come in & invest in more accessories in the future , def will be checking out the playlist for more tips !
I do what ever catches my attention. Lots of photos from a moving car or truck, on my walks including dawn and dusk, people , animals. etc. Still learning my M50 and generally have the 18-150 lens on it for general shooting.
Yes!! Love these tips for the m50! I’m currently rocking it with the 10-18mm and 50mm for broll. And love it so far. Just trying to get better at color grading.
I use the 22mm prime lens and get good quality portraits but really average full body shots! Hopefully tweaking the settings improves the pictures i take when i shoot tomorrow!
I just bought one after watching m50 review for vlogs and I can say it's pretty darn good. Also I was looking for the photography part of it as it requires a little skill and this video is the perfect one I was looking for. Now I know there's a playlist I just might binge watch it right now. Oh wait.. I am watching it right now.. Thanks

Still trying to learn the ins and outs of my settings on the M50. I'm more of a "shoot from the hip" kind of photographer and this works well for me.
My Aperture won’t go down to 1.4 it only goes to 3.5 why is that?

@@freddyjason3142 It's based on the lens you're using. :-)
The new sigma lenses for the m50 are the ones that can start at 1.4 aperture.

Love how fast he talks. I usually listen and/or watch thru 1.5x but here, I don't have to. Info to value for time ratio is excellent.

I love sports photography
Love the Canon M50! I use it with a variable ND filter so you don’t have to crank up the shutter speed for outdoor shots. Thanks for the tips guys 🙏🏼

ND filters are the best! 🙌Lifesaver when shooting outdoors
