    Specially because you are not a dealership team with advertisement intent we very much appreciate your dedication and showing us in detail how it is possible even for not professionals to take on such a big job. If possible I would like to know the prior mileage of the bike, which parts you had to change, if you did any machining on the crank and cylinders and if you used oversized crank / connecting rod bearings. Grazie mille and Greetings from Germany the source of your blue plastic oil pan 🙂

      Thank you😉... The mileage of the bike was around 40k km, the dashboard was missing. The motor wasn't worned, but the aluminium of the melted clutch blocked everything and the motor was really stuck. We changed all bearings because were all blocked by aluminium, but the surfaces of the crankshaft were perfect, so we used standard parts. We replaced the piston rings and repaint the anti friction pads on the pistons with cerakote micro-slick.

    Si ma oltre al manuale e alla manualita serve anche l'esperienza... Quanti mototi hai smontato e rimontato finora ? E poi la dotazione tecnica , da acquolina in bocca ... Una curiosita ... tutto questo in quanto tempo ? Mi pare di capire che sia stato fatto nei ritagli di tempo ..

      Abbiamo iniziato io e Syl nel periodo di pandemia rifacendo le catene di distribuzione alla Adventure, prima di allora mai aperto un motore se non la mia Cagiva Mito 20anni fa (mai funzionato). Con il lavoro sulla ADV Syl ha scoperto il suo amore per la meccanica e abbiamo comprato un 690 sbiellato per lavorarci assieme, rifatto quello abbiamo pensato all'aprire il canale TH-cam quando abbiamo trovato il superduke. Il lavoro sul superduke lo abbiamo fatto solo nei weekend (e neanche tutti) da fine settembre a fine febbraio. Ora stiamo creando la nuova officina e dobbiamo rifare il motore della ADV perché durante il viaggio in Portogallo di quest'estate ha iniziato a fumare e quindi facciamo che rifare anche lei.

    Complimenti ragazzi, bel lavoro! Però non avete chiarito cosa ha causato il danno alla campana, secondo me meritava un approfondimento. 👍

    Hi. I have question. In Englisch ok? What could be the cause of too much play between 1-2, 2-3 at lower speeds? Rubbers on the sprocket are fine. Is it the fault of the clutch? Chain tension is correct. Throttle grip "play" is fine. Yes I know that KTM V2 but I've had the opportunity to drive other 990's and shifting was smoother. After adjusting the clutch lever (jump is less), the problem does not appear for a few kilometers, but it reappears when the hydraulic fluid is warm. Is it possible that it is the master cylinder? But it is in good condition with no leaks. Or what people say it's worth moving to Oberon? Thanks in advance

      @ennepiuunomoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can be the clutch pump system that doesn't work properly and doesn't disengage the clutch completely, so you feel the gear shift hard if the engine doesn't spin so much. First try: change the oil in the clutch pump, drain it from the bottom cylinder and refill from the pump tank. Use only mineral oil, motorex is not mandatory, but must be mineral oil. For example I use the Shimano brake fluid and works good on the 990 but it boils on the 690. If there were some brake fluid like DOT4 in the system maibe it will be necessary to change the internal orings from the actuator and to replace the gaskets from the pump, but you know that because it leaks.

      @@ennepiuunomoto Thank You. I will more precisely explain my problem. When I press the clutch and change gears...there is too much play between pressing the clutch and closing the throttle. The noticeable drive play between shifting these gears makes the bike shake... too much. For example: There is play on the drive shaft, but it is normal, I feel this play when changing gears. The gears change properly. Only this "drive play" is puzzling. Recently, I replaced the hydraulic fluid for Motorex 75, I checked the slave cylinder - there are no leaks. The system is vent. Oil -Jet - I haven't checked, has something to do with it?

      We are not professional mechanics, but if we can help... It is a pleasure. Maybe a video can explain better the problem you have. If you like send us a video to our Instagram account, you can find it in the information page of the YT channel.

      Abbiamo comprato un motore di un 950 e l'abbiamo cannibalizzato! 😜 Poi abbiamo acquistato in KTM solo i ricambi indispensabili. Se hai bisogno ci trovi su Instagram...buon divertimento!

      Calcola che il nostro Superduke lo abbiamo già preso non funzionante. Mancava completamente la campana frizione, distrutta, e quindi prendere un motore completo era la soluzione più economica. Se il tuo va solo rinfresca un po’ prendi i ricambi che ti servono e via.

    Ciao, ho la stessa moto e mi piacerebbe molto fare un restauro così. Sono a 60k km.
    Che competenze ci vogliono per fare una roba del genere?
    E inoltre la mia vibra tantissimo a giri costanti, sopra i 6 è inguidabile vibra tutto in specie le pedane

    • @ennepiuunomoto
      @ennepiuunomoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Più che le competenze, dove basta seguire il manuale d'officina passo passo, importante è la manualità e la sensibilità nella gestione delle fasi un pelo più critiche (ad esempio quando insistere su un pezzo che non vuole muoversi oppure fermarsi e cambiare approccio). Noi di 990 ne abbiamo 2 una SD ed una ADV e non vibrano particolarmente, il fatto di avere forti vibrazioni può essere sintomo delle bronzine o di banco o di biella usurate (capita quando si usura il corteco della pompa acqua ed il motore gira con olio emulsionato per un po'). Se la senti vibrare troppo specialmente a regimi medio bassi il consiglio è di farla vedere a qualcuno. 60k non sono tantissimi per quei motori e se è stato manutenzionato a dovere non dovrebbe darti particolari problemi.
