    If I may ask, what is this mark ( о́ ) I saw on some letters? And when do we have to write it?

      Its a bit scary that you haven't figured it out yet, but those marks above the vowels show that they are stressed. Its a normal stressed O. The mark above it is not there in normal writing, its just there for learners to help with pronunciation. If sth else was stressed, the O would be pronounced as an A

    So if I was in a cabin in the middle of Siberia, no civilization nearby...would I still say na ulice if I mean outside? Its a bit strange to get used to...I mean to get away from the literal meaning
