    I really appreciate the step by step commentary as the project progresses. More makers than not either think the viewer is free to do it however they want and skip out on the how to, or they use thousands of dollars worth of equipment that most diy’ers don’t have. This is purely my opinion but I personally love that. Thank you.

    I was just thinking that you could route an insert in a tabletop same depth as the based of the height display base, put in the base and then lay a thin veneer over the top to hide the display base... then when the levitation ‘thing’ is put on it will look like nothing is effecting it float. I think that would look really cool!

    • @brobroant6205
      @brobroant6205 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, I was wondering if you have any tips on how to regain confidence when doing woodwork and carpentry after a bad accident? A few months ago I got in a rough accident with my table saw and I've been seeming to have issues with being confident when I'm making cuts or anything really in general with a margin for error.
    Besides that, great video as always!

    • @MikeTheMaker1
      @MikeTheMaker1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I hope you are okay now. Take it slow and work back into. Start with some small projects that dont require tons of table saw cuts. Start with a couple easy cuts a week. Then work up to a cross cut sled. Then gradually build from there. Make some cuts every week and build your way up. Jimmy Diresta has some great tips on his older tips for table saw video. He also had a nasty accident through his hand and arm and now hes still going. Good Luck and stay safe my friend.

      Considering my Nova lathe is about 10x the cost of the Rockler lathe, they can’t really be compared. They’re both great, the Excelsior is a good starting point and is great for turning smaller items. I’m also going to set it up with some buffing wheels so I can use it for adding a nice sheen to turned pieces.
