I canned pickled beets from your other video this morning, and heard my first 5 pings ever - such a great day! Even Martha Stewart, although love her, her videos aren’t as clear. Beautiful peppers! 💕 When I pickle my peppers, I throw in one or two little green grape tomatoes from my vine. They are delicious and it's like finding a little Easter egg in the jar 😊

Congratulations on finishing your cookbook. Look forward to it coming out on March 4 (2025). My daughter was born on that day, so I plan on getting it for her as a birthday present, even if it’s a belated gift. She has an associate degree in baking and pastry.

I’ve got a variety of peppers a dozen or so, mostly sweet, that are growing fabulously this season! I’ve pickles banana peppers, and I’ve got peperoncini fermenting so far! I’ve got a bunch ready to harvest, maybe today😊 last year my most favorite thing turned out to be chopping and freezing! I had chopped peppers thru late winter. It was so nice having them ready.
I love you cooking with your mom. Martha Stewart had her mom quite a bid. I loved her. She reminded me of my grandmother. Her mom passed away a few years ago. Keep having your mom. You can tell you 2 are close.
Just made this recipe. They are in the water bath now. I had a bunch of hot peppers that I needed to do something with. I used 19 different hot peppers. Trying to keep the heat on the mild side. Love this video and learned a bunch! Demystified canning for me. I bought some beautiful heirloom peppers from our farmers market a few years ago that were labeled sweet. They were not. Found out when I cut up a few and took a bite. I was wearing contacts and couldn’t sleep with them in 😵💫

You never show this person, but I’d like to give them credit for a very professional show…it makes your presentation the best…The one disturbance about some cooking channels is they are filming from a stationary camera and miss honing in on closeups of the cooking demonstration….Love the gardening and home restorations too…all my favorite spots for relaxation. milk works better to take away pepper burning. I did like you did, I made salsa with serrano peppers without gloves....NEVER AGAIN LOL! i soaked my hands in milk , it took about 2 hours to stop burning enough where I could take it.
Funny story!!! My husband is from New Mexico and we process Hot Green Chile and Fresh Red Chile every year. We invited my Mom and Dad to help with the process one year. My Dad being a veteran Marine decided not to take my advice on wearing gloves to handle the chilies……..😂. Needless to say pain was involved and the years after he was always the first to find the gloves! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

I raised great jalapeño plants from seed this season. I had one plant in each pot (container) as I do container garden and raised bed garden. I got NOT ONE jalapeño! I was so angry…I planted three. Not one pepper. Last year I was overwhelmed with them.

Try dehydrated peppers. They last forever. Couple dried slices in a bowl of soup or chili is a great way to season individual servings

If you don't have a rack you can also put a kitchen towel in the bottom. That's what my mom did she never had a rack.
