Thís is exactly why i love Puch Maxi: they keep going and going and are practically indestructible. Quality build to last. Love the video, thanks for sharing. Keep on rollin'!!
Moped/scooters and small CC motorcycles are the practical way to commute, In my opinion. Only in the US are Big CC motorcycles in demand. The Bigger the bike the more expensive and less fuel economy, Less maneuverability, harder to handle. Just my personal opinion.
Americans are power hungry, but it's due to cheap gas compare to other parts of the world. Back under Bush, when the gallon of gas hit over $5, barrel oil $140, Americans lined up buying hybrid cars, like the Prius. I know, was down it the Toyota dealer, 6 months waiting time was on the Prius for new car. Dealer lot was all sold out.
hahaaa!! i remember when i was younger, living in new mexico and i went on a rally that went into the mountains...also the rockys...but i was on this lambretta..it was totally fine on most roads but there was these freakin' hills man!!! i was literally going 3-5 miles an hour on stretches of road. people don't realize what the inclines are like on motors. even in cars, you gotta down shift and grind it out. great video thanks.
wow, epic! I live in Switzerland and I am also passionate about motorbikes. we have the Red bull Alpenbrevet: a motorinata of 110 km through the Swiss. nothing to do with yours, but unfortunately our scooters are only 30kmh. having said that, I greet you. keep putting video ;) (sorry for my English but I write using the translator)
Great video! 👍 but did the blue bike had stopped running so other one had to pull it or? Are all 70's-80's mopeds like that? I'm saving up to buy myself one, and I don't wanna find out the hard way I guess.
I have a Tomas st with a lifan 125 bigvalve head if I had 15 more cc's then I'd do a trip like this too next March we will see 🤔and what gear ratio does your puch have?
Makes me wanna Puch...so jealous .
captures the essence of the simplicity of mopeds and a wonderful journey. Enjoyed it
This is what you call an epic journey. Congratulations and have fun

awesome boys
crazy road trip cool
Great video, looks like fun!
What were the break downs?
How many miles did you do?
so what is the purpose of the rope? was one of the bikes unable to get up the hills?
Would u do it again?
Great video! 👍 but did the blue bike had stopped running so other one had to pull it or? Are all 70's-80's mopeds like that? I'm saving up to buy myself one, and I don't wanna find out the hard way I guess.
The blue bike (Tomos) didn't have enough power with all the gear on it to ride up the mountain. I had to tow my friend. Therefore the rope.
But didn't you have pedal assist? You could've just used them. That's if you can use them while the motor is running, I don't know much about mopeds.
vanessa More I have a Suzuki moped and it runs great up hills. Old style moped
The name of the mopeds are in the title everyone.
That's epic

Is that a tomos i had 1 of them
Why did you have to keep towing the blue bike.Did it lose power. You might want to decarbonize the muffler.
Awesome ^^
3:56 very dangerous!!!
Thank God nothing serious happened. There were too many close calls lol.
what kind of mopeds are those?
where can i get a 140cc kit???
How bad was your fuel economy with 140cc two stroke engines?
RumpaPumpa did you have to modify it to fit and if so how did you do it? I have a puch maxi and would love to do the same
RumpaPumpa oh did you ever have to register it or get problems from the police?
In Denmark mopeds is only allowed to drive 30km't
