Brilliant solution to the housing crisis. The government should just give anyone who wants a house a 100% loan! Since it is a housing ladder (in other words, a sure thing, can't lose investment) there is no risk to the government! As the values of homes increase, the government can just keep issuing more loans! We will all be Trillionaires!
A more relevant question might be "Should you get on the housing ladder?" ... and what does that look like? Could you work remotely from another country where property is affordable? Should you just rent and invest your money instead for a better ROI? Why do you need a home in the place you are looking to buy it? Is your job so stable you will be there in 15 years? If not, why are you rooting yourself to this place? I think getting on the ladder is over-rated. Young people should fix their pension first, then forget about it as it compounds. Doing that later might be too little too late.
@@ihmpall That's the main reason I know I shouldn't buy one. When everyone wants a house and there aren't enough, you aren't going to be paying a realistic price.
They’re all fair questions Bob and good things to think about. I think for most people - and myself included - owning a home is a goal. It’s nice to settle down and have your own place. Saying that, I have no intention of buying one soon as I continue to work abroad & travel. Hence, as you say, focusing on investing as much as I can each month and letting that compound for the decades to come 💪
I'd be wary of shared ownership because of the potential for increasing costs and difficulty selling it. I'm sure it works for some people but it seems risky.
@@ProfoundFamiliarity yeah that’s fair enough. Really depends on your specific situation - where you’re looking to buy, your salary, etc. This just gives another option to people!
‘Under valued’ is a buzzword, that of course would be ideal but that can be difficult to find and assess in reality. Affordability - definitely agree with that! Buying ‘too much house’ is something the many people do and it can quickly become a problem 😬
Sorry to hear that! Shared Ownership is one option to get onto the housing ladder and it happened that Latimer (a SO service) were looking to sponsor this video
@@MakingMoneySimple yeah they seem like a good provider it's just the way you went about it no biggie just felt like it took away from the point because of the way it was disclosed. No issue with sponsorships as you deserve compensation for the work you put into videos.
Get a life. This geeza is genuinely helping out the less educated/ younger generations, as well as trying to boost his channel off- what are you doing with your life?

I feel exactly like you but 95% of people seem to be obsessed with buying house

Do you own a property or thinking of buying?
Australia or England 😊
I don’t own one yet, and not thinking of buying one at the moment. Maybe in a few years… not sure where 😅
My main bit of advice, buy under value and buy under your affordability

@@MakingMoneySimple I'm in Scotland so when I say under value I mean under the value on the home report
@@thepap000 that makes sense, understood. Yeah that sounds like a good idea then, I like your approach 🙌
❤ Nice video ❤
Thanks Lawrence 🙏
Interesting video - do you own property?
Thanks for watching. I don’t - not yet!
I don't like the way you disclosed the sponsorship. Say it before the sales pitch please

@@thepap000 sorry about that - but also thanks for understanding and I really do appreciate the feedback. Will work on that for the next one!
