I have to grow everything in containers. I have some very nice loofas on the vines and can't wait to open them up. They actually gravitated towards the crab apple tree near them and are growing crazy over the tree. The grurds hanging are beautiful.
Ohhh wonderful! I just transplanted mine yesterday…. Hopefully they will be fruitful this year, I’m completely out! Enjoy! You might like this video too th-cam.com/video/7ZdIzRvAwE8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jNXC9csK8rejChYN
I have 8 pots with one plant each. I have about 10 good size ones on the vine. Having to water twice a day due to the heat. I also live in an RV on our 5 acres. 😊
What do you do with the vines once the luffa has been harvested for the season? Do they die off or do you have to take them down and begin again for the next season?

How exciting! Mine have grown so slow this year, not sure I’ll get any luffas. Thanks for watching!
I’m currently growing loofah in three different containers, here in zone 6b. Thank you for sharing your video! 🙂☀️

That’s great! Mine aren’t doing much this year. I saw a flower, but that’s it so far. Nice to meet you
@@KowalskiMountain well I hope they pick up for you. Good to meet you too.
@stacyw3250 me too… I’m completely out of sponges
This is great information!! Thanks for posting this video.
Love luffa veggie, kindly what fertilizer and when to add I just got to babies I am in zone 7 NC.
I use fish fertilizer. The directions say it’s used every two weeks. Honestly I just add it when I think they need it.
I found some luffa leaves affected by leaf miners. Do you end up getting rid of this issue ?
Well we moved… so it solved itself…

They die off…. But the seeds are prolific… I’ve got several that came back
@@KowalskiMountain Wow thank you!
how big of a pot did you use?
I think those pots are about 12” in diameter. I had multiple pots 3 to 4.
