    Nice quality review. I use the Bona for work and it's great for certain types of floors and quick clean ups without having to grab a buck etc...To make it easier to change the water you put a little lubricant around the O-Ring at the tip of the reservoir. If it stops spraying properly you put a little WD40 down the second half of the stem. I've been using mine over a year and it's still kicking. The finish it produces between the "misting" spray and the pad is very good, just have to get the home solution right. I use a cleaner called "micro blast" because I can get that from the supplier at work (cheney) without having to acquire bona spray which would be out to fast and cost much more.

    BONA said that you must take the microfiber pad and run it under warm water first then ring it out and
    It will slide easily across the floor

    Some of the houses I clean are over 3000 square feet and the whole place is nothing but wood floor ansd the Bona spray mop does the big job easily. I dont think the Bona spray mop is only good for light cleaning and little spills, this mop is a work horse and I use it daily on my cleaning jobs. I love this mop and wouldnt trust any other mop in my clients home, I have tested and have proven over a long period of time that the Bona Spray mop is the best out there.

    You have to buy the "wood floor" cleaner for wood floors. Wood floors obsorbe moister so that's why you have to clean them with a lubricating cleaner. Regular cleaner has alcohol and other chemicals that can dry out and break down wood floors. Please don't knock the mop until you have tried the right solution.

    • @ChristinasHome
      @ChristinasHome  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh good to know, I’ll have to try that - but I’ve used all kinds of cleaners in the o’cedar & it didn’t seem to make a difference- which is why I assume it’s the cloth, but as I said, over all I still like the bona & that’s what I use for my quick cleans. Thanks for watching :)

      I think as long as your floors aren’t too crazy dirty, (like If they aren’t in need of a major deep clean) OR if you are able to find another pad for the bona, it could do that for you... personally I really enjoy the bona but I just feel like a thicker pad (like on a traditional mop) makes me “feel” like my floors are cleaner... if that makes sense? But I have no actual “data” to prove that, my kitchen always looks clean & shiny after using the bona. But I always feel like I want a little “extra” when it comes to bathrooms... I wanna really “feel” like I’m doing some major cleaning in there - like how I feel from having super hot water in my mop bucket... so I’m not sure if my floors are really cleaner from that VS a spray mop but I always just feel like they are

That worked out well. she said I don't know what you use but the floor is not sticky so yeah fortunately I had made a video on what I mixed up so that way if she asks I can easily share but yeah clean solutions that lead the floor sticky and then when you look at the directions it says "rinse the floor" but it's made for a spray mop that doesn't require rinsing.... you know they sneak those details in there in the really, really small print.

    Pros .
    about the Bona mops excellent you can reuse the pads and get as many pads as possible I have 15 of them have used them for a long time and I just keep re-washing them
    cons .
    overtime when you spray the solution out the solution doesn’t come out unless you apply pressure to the bottle and sometimes the trigger hangs up to the point where you can’t get the solution to come out of the device. I will be on my third Bona mop due to problems with the device. Also be very careful with that Bona solution on your beautiful floors Bona has a tendency to leave a heavy residue on hardwood floors as a professional cleaner I honestly stopped using that product because it left a lot of my clients floors hazy looking overtime and I switched over to a product called Bruce. I only use that product once every few months on my clients floors.

    • @ChristinasHome

      Yeah I love that both of them are reusable, but my bona seemed to break pretty quickly. (Well it didn’t fully break but it didn’t spray as well) My Ocedar broke also but I think that was mainly from me dropping it all the time😆🙈

    I enjoyed your video but I have to disagree about the Bona mop and what you said about it. The Bona spray mop is the best spray mop out there right now. I use mine daily because I clean forz a living and I really work this mop. It cleans very well but like with all mops you have to put a little lean into it as you push it. Any mop that just glides on the surface easily isnt doing a good job at cleaning anything up. Of course floors that arent as glossy would be easier but the Bona mop works great on floors that arent glossy as well. I clean both glossy floors and non glossy floors daily and I dont have a problem getting both types very clean as long as I put a little muscle into it. Also the blue Bona cleaner is only for hard wood floors, it isnt meant for laminate floors as you suggested. Bona has some green cleaner that I use in my 2nd Bona spray mop that cleans laminate, vinyl, tile and other non wood surfaces extremely well. Have a great day.

    • @ChristinasHome
      @ChristinasHome  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually recently had someone explain to me that if I wet the pad ahead of time, then it works better. They stated this mop was intended to be used that way. I tired that & liked this mop WAY better, but I wish there wasn’t an extra step. I did not like it on my wood floors very much, but just moved to a house with laminate flooring & have been enjoying the bona mop it quite a bit more here! So I think the type of flooring you have makes a difference, though I’m sure using different cleaners with it makes a difference as well. The wood cleaner is what I bought, because I had wood flooring. But I think there are a bunch of small things that make people love 1 mop over another & that is why so many different companies are able to be successful & also why a lot of us have multiple mops (because we like different mops better for different things) That’s just my opinion anyways. Again I’m no mop expert, just going off personal experience with my own home & limited knowledge of what brands are out there - I’m trying new things all the time now & enjoying finding what I like. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!!
