to use the goat horn on bedrock version you have to put the period at page 15 just like in the video. Then on the lectern set the page to 9 and 10 and it should work with the goat horn. Hope this helps
Thank you so much! I watched and build the java verison just to find it doesnt work haha but thanks for this now I can have everything way more secure!
@@jjaaxxthelegend I actually added a pressure plate to open it from the inside of my castle, and to close it automatically when I come through. I connected it in between the sculk sensor and the flip-flop.

When i throw an item in the hopper its not going through all the droppers but if i put an item in rhe bottom dropper the pistons retract is there a solution to this?
if your doing this on bedrock the book and lectern didnt work for me but what i did was used redstone dust and a block of redstone connecting to the sensor its 11 redstone dust then a block of redstone (the numbers differ from what you want the signal to be) and that worked for me but it use's more space though
I don’t understand the whole book thing on bedrock. I can’t select a single page because it’s double paged. The sensor automatically goes off when his doesn’t in the video. Help please
I fixed the problem. Instead of using a comp next the the sensor use the amount of redstone needed to activate your method then powered by a redstone torch.
I was just looking for a door where the bottom pistons actually work, which this does. Be cool if the skulker sensor actually works but you see two pages on the book unlike his that shows one page at a time so it doesn't actually work.
I have had one problem where the pistons that are supposed to like keep the door closed and opened dont activate when i blow the horn so please someone tell me how to fix this
@@jjaaxxthelegend thank you for your video. I was able to make a secret trapdoor with your circuit thanks to your on/off switch with the dropper+hopper combo. I don’t know how you came up with it, but I’m glad you did.
This does beg the honest question, though: Why don't java players make sure that their farms are Bedrock compatible? I know some things are just *different* between the versions. Bedrock players can't take advantage of quasi-connectability, and Java players can't make piston feed-tape smelters, for example. But beyond that, there's a lot of overlap...
There is a lot of overlap but there are some serious differences. Those difference can make many builds so complicated and / or huge in bedrock to the point many people wont want to bother building them. I always test in both and if its possible I create a java bedrock version. Otherwise if there is a demand I create a bedrock edition for people. If you check I will always say either in the intro or the description if it is bedrock compatible or not
Having the issue where it will work perfectly - staying open and staying closed when needed. BUT a lot of the times when I try to close it, it closes and then opens straight away?
For some reason it’s not working on bedrock anymore, me and all my friends tried to build it but the issue is coming from the flipper thing not working
I have tested with no issues and I cant replicate your problem I can only suggest you double check the redstone and if you are on a server check with admin that there is no mechanic they have in place that could affect this
Why is only my top sticky piston moving the wall? I had it working for the longest time but now only the bottom one pushes out the stone 😢😅 please help
@@jjaaxxthelegend I found a pretty good design if you’d like I can show it to you I just used a 3x3 redstone door design and then hooked up the sculk sensor using a jb (I think that’s what it’s called the compensators facing both ways thing)
For the life of me cannot get this video tutorial to work I place the blocks hundreds of times now I've re-watched the video at least 30 time stopping at every single instruction point to no avail Bedrock sucks
to use the goat horn on bedrock version you have to put the period at page 15 just like in the video. Then on the lectern set the page to 9 and 10 and it should work with the goat horn. Hope this helps
It seems that for bedrock now you need to have double pages so a double spread then becomes one page. Also you must write something on each page
It didn't work
@@jjaaxxthelegend a period on each page till 30? And then what pages do I leave open to use the horn? Just tried and cannot get it to work
The horn didn't work but eating food did
I got it to work
So you put a item in the hopper and set the page to 5 of 30 & 6 of 30 it works with goat horns
I have been looking for a tutorial like this for 3h😭 thank you

In Java you can get a shield and shift close to the skulk sensor to open and close the door I noticed in 1.21
Interesting
with the 2 pistons above the redstone torch how did you get the top piston to extend?
you have to put the wall blocks for some reason, i made the same mistake
Yep - seems like that can solve the glitch some people are experiencing in bedrock
How would you select a certain page on the lecturn or is the signal for page 3&4 the same?? Bedrock
I had the same issue and did some testing last night, the values just change I found that page 7&8 will unlock the sensor off of armor equipping
@@austinhammonds6379 THANK YOU!
Any idea what I’ve done the bottom block won’t close on door I did have it working fine also awesome video
You will have to re check your blocks and redstone - bit hard to know what yo might have changed or broken
All fixed now I misplaced redstone thanks
Glad you got it sorted

could you make a 2x2 opening version instead of the 2x1 shown here?
Do I have to press the button again to open the door because when I do the thing that activates the scull sensor it doesn’t open it, it can only close
Check you have the redstone correct

You can make a lock 🔐 by make a sticky peston and a block
You can indeed Good tip

Page 5-6 works for horn since I doubled it for the two pages but it does an also for food and bows. Is there a way for it just to be horn?
That is a minecraft thing sadly
if your doing this on bedrock the book and lectern didnt work for me but what i did was used redstone dust and a block of redstone connecting to the sensor its 11 redstone dust then a block of redstone (the numbers differ from what you want the signal to be) and that worked for me but it use's more space though
Thats a great alternative liamalombro Also you can get the lectern to work in bedrock now by make each double page spread as 1 page
So placing 3 redstone in front of the sensor and then a redstone torch it will allow you to place blocks to open the door
It seems for bedrock that one double page is equal to one page
I was just looking for a door where the bottom pistons actually work, which this does. Be cool if the skulker sensor actually works but you see two pages on the book unlike his that shows one page at a time so it doesn't actually work.
It seems on some platforms of bedrock you need to create 30 pages as each double page counts as 1one Let me know how you go
@jjaaxxthelegend I was about to say this but 30 pages works perfectly on bedrock you just need to remember to double whatever output you want
Yep for sure - good tip
Can confirm it works on bedrock.
Sure does and appreciate you also letting us know
Can you use a bell?

Can’t set the some of the values on bedrock using lectern
In latest bedrock it appears you have to create 30 pages and make each double spread count as a page Let me know how you go
I’ve been having an issue where one of the pistons doesn’t seem to operate and am confused on how to fix it
Can you check your redstone - it should have no issues in latest versions
