      it looks so beautiful and the character fits so well into the low poly style because of how simple it is, yet isn't bland to look at :')

    Very clear and doesn't have a bunch of wasted time. Actually shows how to correct the common issues instead of just mentioning that they can happen.

    Thank you for making this!! Every other VRM tutorial gets hung up on customizing and importing preconfigured characters using VRoid and stuff like that. Took me like an hour of scrubbing through other videos to discover this one. This is so incredibly useful thank you so much

      Every time I search for a tutorial, it's always a pre-made base anime model that you just recolor and dress up. It's very frustrating. This truly is probably the best video to find and it's better when it shows you how to edit the bones and still make it compatible for VR

      Vroid seems to mess up the rigging for the hands for me. I am debating accurig or Mixamo for the rigging.

    I know this comment’s late but I absolutely love the use of color in your character! The cool tones against the warm skin give such a lovely contrast, not to mention I rarely see Vtubers use a model with a low-poly look. Gah, I love it so much and thank you for the great tutorial too! Keep up the awesome work c:

    Hmm. This is a great tutorial, very easy to follow, but I think the Unity VRM tools have changed quite a lot and have added a few minor speedbumps here and there.
    My only shader option in the VRM set is "MToon" - none of the others are there. That's not so bad though, I can use emission/etc. to emulate the unit shader.
    The "VRM" -> "UniVRM-0.51.0" -> "Export Humanoid" menu now appears to be "VRM0" -> "Export to VRM 0.x".
    When doing this the first time it will complain a lot about a missing "meta object". Seems you can ignore these warnings.
    It defaulted to a random folder when exporting the VRM - make sure you navigate to your Unity project's Assets folder before exporting.
    Thanks!

But the VRM unity packages only worked for me in one of my projects, and now won't work at all or make the VRM export drop-down menu appear at the top at all in my other projects I drag and drop them into. Don't suppose there is a newer, better VRM exporter package available that works better with Unity v2019 or whatever?

    This tutorial really saved my life, thanks! But I have one issue:
    I'm trying to do the Unity rig thing on my model, but it's just a floating head; and the Humanoid rig doesn't work (because, no hip bone, no spine, no body in general). What do?

    • @Priichu3D
      @Priichu3D  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've never attempted this before but you might still need the bones there? Probably don't need to assign them to anything, they just need to exist. I can't really say for sure

      @@Priichu3D Update: Finished the model! I actually had to work around the issue by making a super tiny body and hiding it right under the face where it can´t be seen. Still, thanks for the help!

    You're saving me a lot of headaches.
    Quick question: I don't intend on using the arms, nor the lower body, can I model only the upper body of the avatar? or does it need to be a complete body?
    Thanks!

    • @Priichu3D
      @Priichu3D  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think removing any of the bones from the rig might cause issues since it needs to be classified as "humanoid". I haven't personally tried it, but maybe you can get away with it if you still include the bones for the full body? Please let me know if it works or not!

      i believe you can model just a head with shoulders but you will have to add bones for the rest of the body even if it doesnt exist, most vtubers have full models but everything below the chest is mostly unused

    This tutorial was very helpfull.
    But I have a problem when I want to set blendshapes. The mesh or something get distorted. For example, when I set "AA", when the avatar open his mouth, it gets all black; when he blinks, arround the eyes gets all black; etc.

    Do you always need to use unity to transfer over or can it go straight from blender?

    • @Priichu3D
      @Priichu3D  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In order for your vtuber to function, it needs to go through unity

    Hi @Priichu
    Just got a Qustion for you:
    Has the VRM Unity package changed in the last 1,5 years? Since i can't seem to find the Blendshape setup script in The generated VRM File.
    It be grate if you can help me out on that.
    And if it did change it would be nice if you culd make a Updatet version of your Video :D
    Btw Nice Avatar-Design :3

      It definitely changes overtime so it might just be in a different place or you might want to use an older version.
      It's been a while since I've worked with VRMs, but I want to make an updated version of this tutorial as soon as I have the free time

    Love the tutorial, I just have one question. Can the Vtuber model be made up of several separate models? Like, can the eyes, hair, body, etc all be separate, and not one object? If so, is it possible to have shape keys carry across to different objects?

    • @Priichu3D
      @Priichu3D  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it's recommended that they all be on one mesh. You can model them separately and then just combine them at the end before exporting

    My Model has only 2d faces. Is there a way to move the textures of the mouth while talking and blinking? The only way I found is to use shapekeyes but i was wondering if there is another way. love your stuff :3

    • @Priichu3D
      @Priichu3D  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, there is a way but requires that you set up your mouth and eye textures properly. In unity you can assign textures to your blend shapes, with an offset number to tell your UVs where to go for that expression.
      The only thing I haven't figured out with this method is if eye tracking works
