    Quick update : I've just discovered that DSSC works way better if you'll export your model in a T pose from mixamo. just type T in the search bar in mixamo and export your model in that pose instead of the A pose that mixamo usually chose for you :)

    Hi everyone. If you're having problems with your model, you should try loading it inside "VRM Texture Replacer" even if it already has the right textures, and export it as a new VRM file. I don't know why, but for some reason "VRM Texture Replacer" just fix a lot of problems and create a more "healthy" versions of your VRM files. This is also why I chose to fix the textures of my model first in the tutorial ;)

      @@GoKuMoDz_VTuber oh yeah. Don't worry about it. All of those things can be fixed pretty easily. the white texture problem is pretty common, and I'm showing how to fix it later in the video. Before pressing on the conversation button, make sure that your character is walking and not just stuck in a T pose while you press the W,A,S,D keys. And the last part is to look for the VRM file that DSSC has created when it's opening the file explorer after converting. The file name sometimes can be pretty random so don't look for the same name as your fbx model. Just focus on finding a file that ends with VRM. I hope that helps :)

    hello! im using this method to make a vtuber model and I have a reoccurring issue happening with the eyes. In blender and as an fbx file, both eyes are there and just fine. However, whenever I upload it to dssc, specifically the left eye of the model just disappears?? I also loaded it in the vrm texture replacement and the eyes also just vanish there as well
    I tried deleting the eye bones, shapekeys, and merging the eyes with the head but nothing seems to fix this issue. I followed all of the steps including mixamo and the only thing I did different was adding an eye rig

    • @PULPANIME
      @PULPANIME  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's interesting. it sounds like the eye rig is messing up your export for some reason. If I were you I would just save the eye shape keys (Locking up/down/left/right) like I showed with the mouth movements, and then you'll be able to control the eye movements normally in most VRM softwares. that's usually how Vtuber models are working so i think it's best to imitate what's already working. I recently added eye movements to a model that I created this way, and it worked perfectly :)

    Oh the XPS plugin doesn't work on Blender 4.x yet?
    The Dan Sing Sing converter can be a hit or miss, when it comes to converting MMD models to VRM. It either works flawlessly, or the resulting model will have various bugs.( like skin weights not working). The FBX conversion seems to work properly though.
    Because of that, I usually use the VRM Plugin for blender instead.( which is compatible with 4.0; haven't tried on 4.1 though) Especially if you are already using blender to export the model to fbx, you can just export to vrm directly. The vrm plugin allows you to check for errors as well before you export.

    • @PULPANIME
      @PULPANIME  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, unfortunately, the XPS plugin doesn't work with the newer versions of Blender. I also noticed that most of the time, the PMX convention doesn't work in DSSC. This is why I'm going with the FBX method instead. I also have the vrm plugin in Blender, but I always had problems exporting stuff from there. I'm probably doing something wrong, but I have no idea what. Hopefully, I'll learn to work with it better because I think it could be a lot better and way faster if I'll be able to make it work

      The same technique of exporting your model to Mixamo and converting the Mixamo rig to VRM will work on obj models too. I've basically modeled a nevermore model for episodes 2 of RELM and converted it to VRM using exactly the same method. You will have to create the blendshapes from scratch. But other than that, you can follow the tutorial and you'll be good to go ;)

      @PULPANIME  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Are you referring to DSSC? if you do, then I get it. the way it's exporting is super weird. after exporting it should open the DSSC data folder, and you should be able to find your VRM file in there. It might be under a different name, so just look for a file that ends with "___.vrm" and it should be your exported model. I hope that helps :)

      @DankyDX Thank you! Unfortunately, vrm avatars are humanoid in nature, so it is a bit difficult.
      I've decided to rig the wolf grimm as a humanoid and made it walk on four by using the crawling animation from mixamo in my rwby trailers.
      But if you really need to rig a none humanoid character, I think that "meshy AI" might be the easiest way to do it. You won't be able to transfer it to software like vrmpd, but you can actually import it as an animated glb file into dss, or alternatively, just animate it in Blender. I haven't tried it yet, but I think that's how I would go about it. I hope that helps :)

    • @PULPANIME
      @PULPANIME  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @DankyDX but yeah, you can totally rig "beast" characters using the method that I showed in this video. I literally did it with my grimm models and even with a dragon and a wyvern. I did have to adjust them a little bit to make them a little bit more "humanoid," but it is technically possible. • @PULPANIME
      @PULPANIME  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you already have the blendshapes, then they will work in some software like VRM Posing desktovp right away, but not like a normal Vtuber model would. You will still need to set the key expressions in "blendshape clip editor" like I'm showing in the ending of the video. So yeah, you can totally just use DSSC if the conversation was successful.
